You are too good with your plants. As someone who is getting top surgery in November, I will be interested to see what is causing your pain. I also like the way you try to solve things, like you pain by purchasing the spijkerbed. I ordered halloween stuff. I do a big halloween with my kids. I'll be following your progress
I never realized how big your windows are, I'm jealous in a good way! I have two small windows, one in each room of my apartment that are fairly useless. Interesting, it sounds like they're doing the same thing in your country that they are in the US, just telling everyone they need mental health therapy for all our aches and pains. I can see how that can be a good stepping point, but it's not the whole issue. I had the emergency room doctor tell me one time that unless I'm bleeding, broke or unconscious, it's not really an emergency when I went in for chest pains and sat there for 4 hours waiting to be seen. Have you used the mat again with similar results? It looks like it would make a weird noise when you get off of it because of the pattern on your back hehe 😁
Hello Daan, Another trans man with shoulder problems here. I had the mastectomy in 2020 (small incisions), developed a hematoma in my left breast, which is why healing there was delayed. After a quarter of a year I really started training again (in the gym) and at some point I noticed that my left arm felt different than before when I moved it overhead. Unfortunately, I didn't take this miscomfort seriously. Last year in December I felt pain in my left shoulder when I made certain arm movements (over my head, backgoodwards). I went to various orthopedists and physio. My physical therapist said the problem is not my shoulder but my stiff neck. She did a lot of osteopathy and I stretched at home. I had the feeling that things were getting a little better. Then an MRI was done and it came out that I had a very heavy joint effusion in my shoulder with a lot of fluid, and my biceps tendon was also affected. The doctor banned me from any sports or physio immediately. I was given very strong anti-inflammatory painkillers for two weeks. Then the pain came back. I'm now doing sports again, mostly strengthening my back and the external rotator cuff of the shoulder and continuing to stretch my neck, shoulders and chest. According to my fourth doctor, it's a lengthy process and the last resort would be surgery, but she advises me to wait a little longer. I also have problems to flex my left bicep, where i am weaker anyway bec ause i'm righthanded. long story short, I'm pretty sure there is a connection between my mastectomy and the pain in my shoulder because I trained with weights even when I felt a miscomfort. Probably I started to move in strange ways with my left arm and after some time this causes the inflammation. You are right, a physical therapist after the mastectomy could have prevent that. anyway, I just wanna say you are not alone. Thanks for sharing your story and get well soon! Henry
Geez, was the mail order company’s bed of nails out of stock?? 😂 In my experience, when doctors can’t find an immediately obvious source of pain, they diagnose “all in your head.” Technically that’s true because the brain processes central nervous system signals. In reality, psychosomatic pain is fairly rare. It took me several years to finally learn I had previously undiagnosed juvenile arthritis. Doctors aren’t gods; they just can’t admit it and say “I don’t know.” Good luck dude. Hopefully things will soon be resolved. 😺✌️
You seem calmer and more content this broadcast. 😊❤❤

Loved your demonstration of your “spijkerbed” Daan. Sorry that your shoulder continues to be a pain.
