I am a father, grandfather and great grandfather and I enjoyed your conversation this morning. At the age of 12 or13 I knew I was gay and have remained in the closet all these years. I was married in 1970 from which came 6 lovely children. In 1989, I made a stupid mistake which brought my marriage to an end. But I had been carrying on a parallel life in which, on the one hand, I was married but, on the other hand, I visiting the gay baths for anonymous sex with other men. It has been a very difficult life for the most part with several short beautiful moments. You talk about having a conversation with a partner which, sadly, I was never able to do. But, I think, you are absolutely right, it is necessary to talk to one's partner.
Dann How brave of you to broach the subject of sexuality. I do admire you for doing so. Totally agree with you that frank discussions beforehand to establish boundaries is a must for everyone. Of course, one may wonder about specifics or likes and dislikes, but you are right it is a highly personal thing and would be highly irresponsible for someone to broadcast their preferences. Well done and if everyone who watches this video learns but one thing then you have achieved a lot. Take care and God bless Gerry
Thank you for the article link! I might just print out a few for my other transmasc friends and a few of my allies, I agree, information and communication is a very important thing to have. Just curious, how many more years/months are you going to college? (I don't know what it might be called over there, Uni?) No worries on posting times from me, I love surprises! I have a few channels with people that have other things to work around and it's always neat to pop in and see who posted for the day 😊👍
I understand needing to prioritise life and I knew it was possible this day would come where you wouldn't post videos as regularly. Only because you're a real person who, from my perspective, made videos for your own process, to share your experiences through transition and in general share your LIFE! It has been an honour to watch your growth and to see you bloom. Thank you for giving us the journey with you. I'll look forward to any video you post but I will say watching and following your journey has had an enormously positive influence in my life and helped to give me courage to move forward in my own transition. Being 36 and transitioning is not an easy thing at all and the fact you were of similar age to me really inspired me to make videos as well since finding "older" transitioners was so difficult originally. Again, thank you for sharing your life, Daan. 💙🤍🩷
