    It is almost sad how many auto videos I have watched. What is startling is that you are a 'company' man yet you provide the some of the most unbiased evaluations. Your focus on the aspect of the cars that are not available at the manufacturer's website make your reviews all the more useful. Also, really appreciate your not telling us how it looks while you have it on camera!🙃

    Most complete and really detailed review of a Tucson. To the point and very useful tutorial. I got one a few weeks ago and I’m still learning. Mine is a gasoline only model not hybrid ,we will not have them here in California until late fall. Mileage is outstanding and it is a pleasure to have all the features that other cars including very expensive BMW don’t offer.

    I havent even gotten thru the whole video yet and I'm FLOORED by the battery reset feature! One of the issues rav4 hybrid has is that many of them have a parasite drain on their battery and the owners come out to a car that wont start- I've ALWAYS wondered how the heck a HYBRID with all that stored up electricity doesnt have a lead out to the main hybrid batter for JUST THIS PURPOSE. I've already watched a TON of videos about the hybrid Tucson and was thoroughly impressed but YOUR video is the first to tell me about battery reset! Thank you! Off to watch the rest lol

    Beautiful vehicle inside & out. Hyundai did a masterful job with this 4th gen' Tucson. And they now have it in a Hybrid version with 226hp and a Plug-In Hybrid still to come at 261hp, I believe!...My only minor complaints are where they put the rear turn signals down low on the bumper, don't like that at all. Should have integrated them in the LED taillights somehow. No cowl/cover over the digital gage cluster looks odd IMO. NO HEADS-UP DISLAY is a HUGE OMMISION, as most of the Tucson's competitors offer that feature already. Very thorough nice review my friend!

    • @edsgarage001
      @edsgarage001  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thx for the comment!
      I agree with you on the turn signals. But the instrument cluster, honestly in person looks amazing, and it's so bright it doesn't need a cover.
      As for the lack of a HUD, I guess that's a subjective thing, personally I didn't even notice it missing. It wouldn't bother me at all.

    Honestly, the best review of the Tucson I have watched. And I've watched a bunch. And I had no interest or intention of buying a hybrid until this video.
    So I am now 98% convinced that the Tucson will be my next vehicle. I'm 1% uncertain whether to get the hybrid or not. And I'm 1% uncertain whether to get a Hyundai at all, given the level of sophistication and complexity of all the tech and all the settings for that tech. Just kidding. Seriously though, it will take some time to figure out all the options, what they're used for, and how to set them.

I dont think you talked about it in the video unless i missed it. Can the center console have some sort of protection film to prevent dust and fingerprints? I like the knobs. Lastly, when does the Plugin option come to canada?

    • @edsgarage001
      @edsgarage001  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't wait either!!
      There wasn't any memory seating in this trim level. However, the Ultimate trim will also be hybrid, and will include the memory system.
      I don't think there's going to be anyone creating protection film for the console... At least not for a long time. However, a microfiber cloth kept the glove box would make quick work of cleaning it.

    • @edsgarage001

      They only come on when you get in, and go.
      If you remote start, they don't come on. Also if you're emergency brake is on, they'll shut off as well.
      Go get in, fire it up, leave it in park, turn off the e-brake, and they should be on.
      Rear lights ONLY come on when full headlights or parking lights are turned on. Which is why I always recommend leaving your headlight switch in the full on position, and not on the auto position. They'll shut off when you get out and lock it anyway.

    I have a Plug in Luxury Hybrid on order and have a technical question that I haven't been able to resolve online. Does the car's computer track the mileage of the 1.6l IC engine? For example if I do mostly city driving within the 13.8 kW battery capability and only occasional long trips I could be looking at 5000 km on the odometer but, since that is mostly in EV mode I may only have about 1000 km on the gas engine. In the interest of knowing how many kms are on the engine for oil changes, etc...does the veh computer track accurately how many kms are on the ICE vs the car odometer? Also, do you have any info on when the Plug ins are to arrive in Canada? They are only going to 11 US states so, hopefully, we will see some when they start arriving from Ulsan.
