eggs. Hardboiled. Softboiled. Scrambled. Sunny side. Omelette. Steamed. I can literally never get bored from them throughout the day and they don't even need much to be flavorful!
To those saying she isn't eating enough, about 1500 calories were estimated by me inside my head as I watched. This is what she eats "on the go"... It's meant to be a quick & easily prepared set of meals & she hits all the requirements... A little low on carbs but incorporated healthy fats such as omega 3s & polyunsaturated & monounsaturated. She intakes plenty of fiber and protein which are convenient because if your on the run all day you might be limited on time & resources for meals so upping protein & fiber in your diet keeps you fuller longer and is better for you body anyway. I would suggest a post breakfast or post dinner snack consisting of some granola & fruit or veggies & hummus. That should put the intake into the 1,800 mark. Also, doubling the post-workout meal by adding an extra egg or substituting with a protein shake for one of the eggs could give a little more protein to the meal... All in all, this is accurate, realistic. And healthy. She's not trying to scam anyone!!
Matcha tea latte: INGREDIENTS ½ cup hot water ½ cup organic light coconut milk (or full fat) 1 teaspoon matcha tea powder 1 tablespoon honey, maple syrup, or stevia to taste (optional) INSTRUCTIONS Add the matcha tea powder to a small amount of hot water in the matcha tea bowl or into your favorite mug. Using the bamboo whisk, whisk briskly in a up-and-down direction, to make a thick, green paste. Then pour remaining hot coconut milk and water to the paste and stir. If adding a sweetener, add here. The matcha will dissolve quickly and easily. If you're using a milk frother, place on the top of the latte and turn on, allow to froth and foam until your desired texture. Another option is to reserve some of the hot coconut milk and separately froth this in a cup, then gently pour in the match tea mug. Enjoy hot or warm!
I can't live without spinach! It's my favorite thing to put in literally everything! I eat so much of it my mom said my hair would turn green when I was little!
Can't live without oats! For breakfast, for energy balls, for pancakes, for 3 ingredient cookies, for gluten free breads, I eat them almost every day :)
to stop your apple going brown, once you cut it up, you can "put it back together" and secure with an elastic band. This works sooo well and its just ready for you whenever you want it. Just thought i'd share this xxx
One food I cannot live without would have to be bananas! It sounds kind of weird, but I just love how they're so easy to grab and eat on the go, but still provide you with energy!
Foam art is all about how your pour your milk and sometimes how you tilt your cup. The slower you fill you let the froth sit on top then when closer to fill pour the froth. There's different techniques but theres a start
MinaIvyShow Except on the west side :) It's mostly just sunny unless it's hurricane season or just funky weather like we've been having this winter. Still pretty clear skies and sunny. Today was a perfect beach day.
I could not live without bananas! I know some people hate them, but I think they're such a great natural sweetener! My favorite thing to do with them is freeze them and then put them in the food processor with some cocoa powder and voila, chocolate banana ice cream! They're also fantastic to mash up with some dry oatmeal, almond milk, cinnamon and raisins- let it sit overnight so the oats soak up the almond milk and I swear with the raisins and cinnamon it tastes like bread pudding! Just not the same consistency, obviously. Good warm or straight from the fridge! #cheapcleaneats
Food that I cannot live without is chicken. Chicken anything..chicken salad, chicken with brown rice. I tried going without beef, pork, fish and chicken before...but chicken I was too weak to give up. At least it's good with quinoa or brown rice and perfect for salad!
Good lord, she has a constant bubbly energy, doesn't she? that's a good thing of course but I wonder if she ever stays up late some nights drinking wine and eating cake. :)
Why no one mentioned STRAWBERRIES? i can't live with out them!~ it is sweet, sour & comes in different shapes! I like it cool (chill in the fridge) and then dip it in sugar and it will end up in my mouth!!~ Omgg~
I know right!! I'm vegan so I obviously can't eat it with yogurt or whipped cream, but they are perfectly fine by them selves. Especially locally grown strawberries from the farmers market. :)
Hey Cassey, thanks for sharing! I feel like being overbooked and busy can be such a hindrance to clean eating! For frothing milk, you gotta get the Aerolatte Handheld Milk Frother, and the secret is to hold the milk frother on the surface of the milk and slowly raise it as the froth expands. Some milks are more difficult to froth than others. I always find that milks with less fat content don't froth quite as easily. Also, my favorite, dessert island food is cheese. I love it in all forms, all types, any time of day, melted, solid, whatever. I love cheese!
To get the foam on top of a latte, the milk needs to be steamed. At home though you can hear it up in a sauce pan on the stove and then put it through a blender until it's foamy enough for you!
Layla Shnoa 2200 calories is not a lot if you work out. Of course everyone is different, that's why there's a BMR scale and I can guarantee you she is not eating enough.
Lotte Nienke 2200 is way too much. To me, 1400 is fine including my calories for workout. They say 2000cal is what an adult woman needs, but today we're just way too sedentary and eat unhealthy calories for that to be accurate.
I make a quinoa sweet potato and kale dish that is amazing!!! I eat it at least once a week and it's so simple and easy to make! I cannot live without it!
Oh my god.... I can't believe how many people are judging Cassey. She doesn't eat enough, yet she's fat. I can't imagine what it would be like to have people publicly criticizing you like this on a video that was made to help you people. A video that was asked for. Cassey is not you so if you think this diet isn't right for you, don't judge or be rude, shut the fuck up and move on quietly, thanks. Also... There are many people, like myself, that this works for. I am 110lbs and eating 1500 cals a day makes me uncomfortably full whether I workout or not. Not only that but why do you feel the need to judge others? Do you like making people feel badly about themselves? I literally think these types of people are the worst on the planet and I just hope karma gets to you, if it already hasn't.
Elizabeth Gill YESSS it was such a highly requested video! And when she made one guess what everyone just started hating and hating on her. Sigh. People can be SO rude..
I got to this post and totally agree! Glad someone said it, everyone is different and being comfortable and healthy varies for different people. Glad someone said it, I'm reading no more posts on this.
I know exactly how you feel about the weather in LA. I live about an hour away but the weather is still the same. It could be raining one second and then completely clear and sunny the next.
Uhm.... That's actually a really tough one. I really love apples because they're so sweet and crunchy and juicy and just everything satisfying without being unhealthy so it's an enjoyable treat, but sometimes I really crave salt and I can literally just eat rock salt dry. I know, disgusting but there you have it.
I use Silk original almond milk (unsweetened) since it froths up almost exactly like cow's milk, and I use a hand frother from Ikea because it's cheap, runs on two AA batteries, and I can use it as a light electric whisk for scrambled eggs, etc. I wouldn't use it in lieu of a hand mixer (e.g., I wouldn't use it to whip egg whites for soufflés) at the risk of draining the battery and overstraining the machinery, but you in theory could have more than one use for a milk frother. I pour some almond/cow's milk into a mug (roughly 1/2 to 3/4 cup, and I might add some honey for sweetness) and then microwave it for one minute on high, and then use the frother and swirl it around the cup for about ten seconds.
Please stop! What gives you all the rights to say that Casey's lifestyle is no good and yours is better. I'm going to follow Caseys idea and I'm sure it will work.
hey there. personally i don't think her lifestyle is "no good" for her, however it might be for other people. for me personally, eating like this (low calorie, low carb) made me develop an eating disorder. something like a high carb vegan diet allows you to eat unlimited calories. restricting calories can be a very dangerous thing, as you progressively eat less and less and your body then goes into starvation mode (and that creates nothing but problems with mental health, body weight, and overall well being).
eliher669 A better diet is a low carb, high fat diet where you get most of your calories from healthy fat sources like coconut oil, grass-fed butter, avocados and such. Fat keeps you fuller longer and raises the "good" cholesterol and lowers the "bad" cholesterol.
eliher669 dont forget all your side dishes in form of pills. Sorry, I will never go back to a plant-based diet. I hated all the supplements I had to take.
eliher669 Actually, if you look up a lot of paleo recipes they are pretty calorie dense! I don't think anyone on the hflc lifestyle restricts themselves either. But regardless, if it didn't work for you that's okay :) no lifestyle works for everyone!
My favorite food is 100% whole-wheat english muffins. I honestly cannot live without them because I can eat them with an omelette for breakfast, for lunch with peanut butter and banana in between, or just a half of one for a quick snack on the go!
Please don't bring nut butters or nut products on a plane. For people with severe nut and peanut allergies someone eating a nut butter in a closed area like a plane can be life threatening if they breath in the residue. Nice video though, if there is one thing I can't live without is yogurt and any fruit especially raspberries!
I could not live without peanut butter. I eat it with apples, on pancakes, toast, in a protein shake....there are just so many things you can do with it. And, it always feels like a treat!
Girl you were almost vegan today. Jump on it! Just try it for a little while, see how amazing your body feels especially since you have a lactose sensitivity and you'll see what I mean!
OMG this is so helpful! I've been so busy this semester and I feel like I rarely have time to cook good meals for myself, so I haven't been eating the best because it was more convenient to go through a drive-thru haha! But these kind of videos remind me that it's totally possible to stay healthy when on the go! Love you, Cassey!
I don't think I could live without kale! You can seriously put it in any kind of dish. You can sauté them, put them in soup, put it in a casserole, a smoothie, and obviously a salad! Kale gives my body so much nourishment and makes me feel good! :)
I can not live without this one Korean dish - Naengmyeon. It translates into Cold Noodles. This dish is so good and refreshing! A perfect dish for the summertime. :)
I cannot live without rice! Brown basmati is my all time favorite and i'm vegeterian so i love to eat it with a bowl of veggies (specially bell peppers). It's soooo tasty.
I can't live without salad! I eat it almost everyday and its so versatile so I never get bored. I mix it up with different toppings and dressings. Salad is thebombdotcom hahaha.
I cannot live without spinach! I love it so much and no matter where I am or what I do, I love to eat spinach and I have trained myself thanks to you to eat healthier and stay fit!
oh that's a hard question! Anything pickled. Homemade pickled green beans and cucumbers with a lot of red chili flakes and garlic are my favorite. delicious!
I can so relate with you on dairy (I used to love it then one day body said no more). The one food I have to have is rice. I can eat it by itself or with just about anything. I am always on the go and figured you can eat it room temperature as well....
Also, fruit! I love berries - especially raspberries and blueberries - and the fuzzy fruits: peaches, apricots and nectarines. My mom used to call me her "fruit monster" growing up cause I just love any and all fruit!
Buy a milk frother!!!! It';s really good for making any latte, and it leaves that layer of yummy foamy stuff on top just as if you bought it for a coffee shop!
I can't live without organic carrots! They don't need any preparation, they taste great as they are, they are easy to bring in your bag, they are crunchy and filling, and they go soooooo great with hummus! Yum! Hugs from Atlanta
To be honest one food that I can't live without would definitely have to be kale. I love using kale to make all sorts of things like salads and I love adding it to my sandwiches and smoothies. Kale is honestly my favorite vegetable.
OR MY PAPAYA JUICE!! Omg that's my favorite smoothie (it's not a juice it's a smoothie) it has milk (1% fat) 1 cup of papaya cubes and a tiny bit of vanilla extract and sugar. I can drink it everyday all day... Wow I sound like a crazy person describing this smoothie ... But I love it😍😍😍!!!
eggs.
Hardboiled. Softboiled. Scrambled. Sunny side. Omelette. Steamed.
I can literally never get bored from them throughout the day and they don't even need much to be flavorful!
dat yolk is so delicious
my addiction to soft boiled eggs is realll XD
***** ah, screw it! *buys egg farm*
People say that it is bad for you but I don't care I love it and will always eat it
Awesome! You might want to check out Freelee the Banana Girl's video about eggs then :)

try the soy chicken options by Gardein!! Youd love them
Chicken is not a food. It's an animal.
melanie_ Seriously? Animals can and are food. Ask your cat.
melanie_ Animals eat animals sometimes, and we are animals
NANCAY WANG they also kill it themselves and eat it raw, but you don't do that
Good lord, she has a constant bubbly energy, doesn't she? that's a good thing of course but I wonder if she ever stays up late some nights drinking wine and eating cake. :)
We all do, no exuse....
+Kelsey Kramer or ice cream??? :D
+Kelsey Kramer Its just false for the camera. In real life maybe she is a binge drinker what eats fried breakfast in a greasy café somewhere.
Why no one mentioned STRAWBERRIES?
i can't live with out them!~ it is sweet, sour & comes in different shapes! I like it cool (chill in the fridge) and then dip it in sugar and it will end up in my mouth!!~ Omgg~
Same!
Strawberries are just amazing. Lol I eat them plain XD
And if you blend frozen strawberries, they taste like sorbet and it's delicious!!
I know right!! I'm vegan so I obviously can't eat it with yogurt or whipped cream, but they are perfectly fine by them selves. Especially locally grown strawberries from the farmers market. :)
Krystal Hoang With chocolate and OMG best thing ever!!

I can't live without greek yogurt, I literally eat it everyday! It's so versatile, you can eat it with anything! I love it :)
In my country it's so hard to find healthy food. Everything is greasy or fast food and healthy food is so expensive
+Germaine Nimundele true
+Germaine Nimundele Yes, it is expensive to eat healthy and not filling in anyway either.
Such an encouragement to eat healthy ^.^
Oh I know! no excuses right?! :)
Yea she motivates me
WorkingOnMeTime Definitely!!! So pumped for the 28 day Challenge starting tomorrow!!!
Pparrots Productions Same!!! I can't wait for all the yummy meals that go along with the 28 day Reset
To get the foam on top of a latte, the milk needs to be steamed. At home though you can hear it up in a sauce pan on the stove and then put it through a blender until it's foamy enough for you!
Is that enough food though? It seems to be very little!
Yeah I looked it up that's only about 1200cal for the day plus she worked out O.o
At this point she is starving herself. It is said that you should eat at least 2200 kcal, and Casey IS working out hard. This is so wrong...
Layla Shnoa 2200 calories is not a lot if you work out. Of course everyone is different, that's why there's a BMR scale and I can guarantee you she is not eating enough.
Layla Shnoa She did a whole video on BMR.
Lotte Nienke 2200 is way too much. To me, 1400 is fine including my calories for workout. They say 2000cal is what an adult woman needs, but today we're just way too sedentary and eat unhealthy calories for that to be accurate.
I cannot live without my Greek yogurt and strawberries!!
I make a quinoa sweet potato and kale dish that is amazing!!! I eat it at least once a week and it's so simple and easy to make! I cannot live without it!
Dates dipped in peanut butter!!
that combo is crack omg it's amazing!
I had to legitimately fast dates dipped in nut butter because I was eating way too much of them xD
yummm that's delicious!
cassey you should have a vlog channel
I can't live without popcorn! It's my favorite snack and there are so many different flavors and types so there's always a lot of variety.
I can't live without vegan Indian food from this one restaurant it's soooo good!

I know exactly how you feel about the weather in LA. I live about an hour away but the weather is still the same. It could be raining one second and then completely clear and sunny the next.
I have acid reflux so I have to wait two hours before I exercise.
Nice to know...😂😂😂
Food I can't live without? BANANA
I cant live without all types of tea
