I worried for Jacob so much when this came out because I never knew if this was like a completely fictional story or not and I'm pretty sure most of it is real which is why I worried. But seeing Jacob so happy nowadays with his comically large friend group Is so just nice. I'm so happy for the guy and hope it stays that way but my favourite part about this album is that it's not perfect. Jacob isn't a bad singer or anything but there's one or two times that his voice doesn't really match with the tone that the lyrics need. But i kinda like that. This whole thing is about how his life isn't perfect and that's why i kinda like the roughness of it yk. But with that said its still a banger especially find me in your dreams. Those notes Deanna hits at the end, thats impressive.
My significant other of 6+ years just suddenly ended things. She fell out of love. I understand and just want her to be happy, but it hurts that I’m no longer what makes her happy in that way. Some of these songs really hit home and resonated me when I need that. I know you likely won’t see this given you get tons of comments daily, but thank you Alpha. I really appreciate this video. Especially right now
I think it’s really special and memorable that no song in this sounds the same. It’s all over and even though not everything is for my taste I can still admire a lot of the artistry here.
My most favorite part about this is it's not a story where the protagonist is all "Oh no my girlfriend left me! Im going to do everything in my power to get her back!" But instead, it's a story where the protagonist tries to find his better future, but never being able to let go of his past
Anytime I feel myself getting in a rough spot in life or I feel a panic attack coming on, I just... put on songs like Monophobia II, Deep Space, and A Life Frozen In Time to just try and either calm my thoughts down or to just cry. Been nearly 2 years since this album came out, and it's still easily one of my favorites ever. Partially because I just like Jacob in general, but because it's... just really nice, even if it can feel a bit sad at times.
Returned back to this over a year later, I don’t think I really processed how much passion went into this and how much potential this band has. I’ve been watching since 2016, and the evolution is insane. Hope you make more music in the future, but if you decide not to, I’ll still be here enjoying the ride.
He can't take a decent break, I seriously worry for him as a fan since I've been watching him since the end of his Mario Maker 1 videos, and I personally feel he should focus on his mental health more then content creation atm
@@justamugofcoco I didn't know that as I don't have Twitter, I agree though as much as I use his content as a coping mechanism and would be sad to see him take a break for however long he deserves it big time
@@Onlyitsmereid it was a set. He’s mentioned it a couple times here and there in Alpharad Deluxe vids. I also don’t think the kitchen in “A Life Frozen in Time” matched the one in his Wario Ware tournament, but I’m not 100% sure because I haven’t watched sit since it released
I'm probably a bit late to send massive paragraphs about this album, but I don't think there's anything I've listened to more often and consistently than this. These ten songs are able to make me feel so much emotion and passion. They have given me the drive to keep pushing through life, to keep going forward for myself, not just the people around me. Since the release of this album, I have became an adult, graduated college, and moved across the country. I'm barely getting by financially and everything feels so hard. But this album, hell this man, has brought me through everything. Through crushes, relationships, hardships, periods where I felt worthless, but also through the good, times I've been happy, times where everything was right. I'm so eternally grateful for you, Mr. Jacob alpharad, you've impacted my life, my sense of humor, you've been with me as an entertainer to keep me happy or help me feel sad, and I wouldn't be here today if it wasnt for you and your music and your friends. You're an incredible entertainer and musician, and I hope you have been able to stay happy as much as possible through life. For everything you've done before, as well as whatever you seek to do after, thank you
I don’t think anybody will see this, but I just wanted to thank you for making this, listening to this album got me through a tough year. Keep up the good work.
"Love the song" a.k.a. "Supporting myself by showing support" kekw. Also, these are trash. Hope you keep it up though and get better since you seem to have the passion/budget for it
@@Zagreus. I'll say there were a couple misses. That A Life Frozen in Time song would've been great if if weren't for the "God damn" towards the beginning. I feel it ruins the tone of the song.
Okay nobody has said it yet but huge props to the band. I know Jacobs the cover boy but some of the drums were top notch and the solo on Lights out and daft punked daft punk. All the playing was super fun and fluid so good job to the actual band
I’m a huge musical person and this felt so much like a musical with this excellent choreography and camera work. This is one of the most amazing things I’ve seen from a smaller band and I can’t believe the things you guys have done so far and can’t wait to see what comes next.
I started watching Alpha years ago. Cracking up at clickbait, 101, the not series... now you're releasing full albums! Proud viewer and happy to see how far you've come! Excited to see where you go next
I can't express the emotion this brings me. As a foolish child I watched his how to 101s and now I'm A foolish 18 yo who has nothing but respect for this man and his talent. As absurd and possibly stupid this sounds jacob is unironically my hero.
That makes a lot of sense, I think he is definitly an idol. Unlike other creators he really does the content he wants, even if it may risk losing subs. He does content that he wants to and how he wants to while being humoristic but being able to stay serious if ever needed. And even through hard times, which he definitly had in 2021, he knows to keep his on health above content and still creates great stuff
How the hell is this nearly 2 years old... And how am I still feeling the exact same magic upon watching it as I did my first time? Honestly incredible
I love how Monophobia feels confrontational, like the characters are in an argument while Monophobia II is just melancolic and nostalgic, as the characters realize that what once was is now gone and they have to move on.
So I actually didn't hear any of the singles as they came out, because I wanted to hear the album by itself. I had NO clue what type of music this was going to be. Safe to say you killed it Jacob, this is incredible. Thank you so much.
as another person said, about 5 songs didn't make it onto the album, and are on the EPs. 3 from monophobia (technically 4, as "Monophobia II" is a remake of that and not the exact same), 2 from scorpion queen. Def check those out!
This might sound weird, but its so interesting to see Jacob's face in a different light apart from entertaining people by being funny. Hopefully that makes sense.
@@rose_jsd Yeah exactly. It's so unusual, but I'm so happy for him! This must be the natural next step in his life and I couldn't be more proud of him.
To me, this feels more akin to a visual novel rather than a music video. Each song showing off different parts of Ace's struggle with the breakup, and then we can witness the 5 stages of grief in here as well. Each song builds off the prior ones so well and it gives some of the older ones different meanings too. All in all, a beautiful production by everyone involved
It actually brings a tear to my eye to see how much Jacob has grown. It's hard to think that the highschooler making how to play 101 videos at his parents home is the same person that made this. It feels like we've just witnessed the season finale of alpharad. We've had the 101 era, story for glory / replay hut era, the overwatch/early smash 4 comedy era, the start of FWOB, the NOT/clickbate era, the early switch/opening the DMs era, and finaly we get to the start of modern alpharad with the "I make what I want to" era. After that we come to the VR chat era, mid switch era, and at last, the 1000000 subscriber milestone. This brings us to the launch of Smash Ultimate, which marks the start of what I am dubbing the "golden age of alpha". This era is the longest and has many different events within it, such as hard DK, the CPC CS, stage builder was a mistake, our cause is just, the creation of modern alpharad deluxe, rivals workshop, his freaking marriage, and much more. This is also when Jacob started his "no internet" talks with us and showed us he was maturing. (AMOGUS) He moved to Cali where a homeless man stole his chicken. This is the start of what I am calling "post golden age alpharad". In this era Jacob starts to move away from gaming to work on bigger projects such as Ace of Hearts and copypasts theatre, and is what Frozen In Time is the finale of. Jacob, Alpharad, whatever you wanna be called, thank you so much for the laughs and memories. Never stop being awesome.
@@jckmarsh yes they got divorced, i think he said it on one of his streams or something. And i firmly believe that this album is his way of coping with the divorce
This is absolutely mind blowing. This really is a phenomenally told short story of a man coping with how he lost everything that he held close to him. Or rather, the only thing he prioritized. At one point in life, it feels like he had everything. At the time, he never thought those times to end. There’s such a bright future to look forwards to. Why would he ever want to turn the lights off? Yet, as life goes on, those happy moments they had together became a fading memory. Despite being with someone, he felt alone. He wants to relive those early days of solace but just can’t. The spark from young love gone. He’s alone by himself in deep space, desperate to capture the magic again while ignoring what was bound to happen next in a relationship with no communication. It happens. She leaves him. She even admits that dancing with him makes her feel alone, which is an absolutely gut wrenching thing to hear in what is supposed to be a relationship of intimacy. She’s moved herself out of his life, and the only place he can ever see her again is in his dreams. Hard as it may be, everything eventually has an ending. Someone in a relationship may not feel ready to embrace being by themselves again after being with someone for so long. They may look for a silver lining with hope that they may not experience that feeling. With such beautiful moments that just stay with someone for the rest of their life, why would they ever want to let that go? Unfortunately, certain situations just don’t have one to grasp. Based on what happens next, it looked like that was the case for this man. People are meant to be together. To talk with each other. When this man watches the woman he cares for drift away, he finds himself alone again. Just like before he got with her. The sensation is just unbearable, and in certain relationships a former partner from a relationship can convince themselves that this is always going to happen. That they’re going to always be alone, and it’s scary. This is the feeling of monophobia, the fear of being alone. There’s a possibility it could’ve been there before the relationship, but it’s especially prevalent after something such as a breakup. When someone is alone and don’t know where else to go, they may resort to some very drastic measures for some kind of spark. Very, very drastic things. Dancing with a stranger can lead to something very ambiguous. Certain people want to take that chance to fill the void. To find a yin to their yang. Some may grow very desperate to find that second half, even if it means someone may not remember your name. Even so, in a very impulsive and quick decision, the man takes the chance and fills the void with someone else. Even if he may have been intoxicated, he knows one thing for certain; he’s not alone anymore. All he knows is someone pulled him out from this emptiness of being alone, and that’s all he needed to find someone to recapture what he thought was the old magic he had. If she could do it, she really was his Queen of Everything. There is one thing that can’t be denied, though. It’s just not the same. Alone, someone will think back to what could have been and are scared of what will be. They may not focus on how they got there to begin with. That’s the case with this man. Stuck on a metaphorical Deadbeat Boulevard, it’s undeniable. He never actually cared or wanted the best for his partner. He got together with someone for the sake of not being alone. What sort of future would that hold for him? He leaves to find a different magic, despite finding himself alone a second time. It’s been a certain amount of time since the man has been alone. He knows better than to make any impulsive choices. Even so, knowing he had everything he wanted taken away from him in a sudden moment still hurts. He can’t take comfort in anyone else at the moment, and it’s not very easy with the thought of him being alone was his own fault. He makes his own calls now, but is too preoccupied with what was to be free towards the future. He does make something out of his thoughts, however. He knows that his experiences are there, he can’t change what has happened to him. What he does do is learn from it. He could decide to continue chasing after a fairytale for the rest of his life or find what it is he needs in life rather than what he wants. He looks back at his life, frozen in time, and reflects on what he’s been through and the choices he’s made. And much like life, it gets really messy. It depends on what an individual does with his experience that makes it his own and not dependent on the feeling of another person next to him. Being alone is just one of the many parts of life, really. He comes to that realization, standing out amongst a blurred out crowd. While a life frozen in time that’s only focused on the moments in the present would be heaven, people can’t live that way. No one can live the perfect life they want to, and that’s ok. It’s what they do with what they’re given that makes it their own. Jacob, you’re an absolute genius through the way you’ve written this along with way you brought it to life with the list of people that made it possible with you. I know I’ve gone on for a very long time now, but this reminds me a lot about how I felt after my first relationship ended. I remember feeling that I was going to be alone forever. Amidst that, I even almost got together in another relationship with a different girl the next week before realizing it didn’t really feel the same. Knowing that this is just the way of the road is what’s still driving me today. So thank you for bringing such a masterful display of storytelling to life onscreen along with sharing a strong message that may not be shared as often as it should be. Keep doing what you love, and keep staying brilliant. Thank you for still being here, we appreciate the hard work that you placed in producing this with your team along with everything that you do for your community. Thanks, man. hi jo
All I needed were two things from this Music Video: 1. The music had to be good 2. It had to have that Alpharad feel to it And I got so much more than that, I can tell he put his all into this.
Wow, a bunch of absolute bangers, and not a single dislike. In all seriousness, the music is amazing as always, and the story just adds even more to it. Amazing work Jacob.
Unfortunately TH-cam removed the ability to view dislikes, unless you own the channel, so that is why it appears as if there are none, although I agree and feel there should be a lot of praise, these are all absolute bangers like you said
This man and his team delivered us an excellent album AND a tragic goddamn romance story, and he makes it seem easy. I love you, Jacob, and have so much respect for your craft. I’m so glad I subscribed back in the “Can Mario Clear the Temple Jump” days.
I go months at a time without listening to this album, but I always inevitably find myself coming back here. Something about it is genuinely beautiful to me.
it's crazy how much time has gone by since this album released. I've never really spoken on it, and I just now remembered how much I loved it when I first listened to it. A lot of people see this as Alpharad's start in music. There is obviously a good possibility of Ace of Hearts returning later, but this was more like the end of something than a start. It's a landmark of reflection and honesty. Using music to convey something that just words could not provide. It was the most Alpharad way of getting personal and I love it to bits now that this actually relates to me. Jacob, if we ever meet in person, I'm thanking you for making this masterpiece
I'm a day late to its 1 year anniversary, but god damn this album has some bangers. Hopefully, AoH releases more music in the upcoming years because it would be criminal if they just ended it after one album. Anyways, happy holidays everyone, have an amazing 2023!
Can’t believe it’s been almost 2 years since Fool for You first came out, every song has been a banger and it’s been awesome seeing Ace of Hearts grow!
The vocalist transitions in Your Name is insanely powerful leading into the ending and who can his faces not become iconic for emotion templates in memes or whatever
I was really expecting an "oh she realizes she needs him and goes back home" storyline, but honestly I'm super glad it didn't go that direction, it's so powerful as-is. ggs, jacob. bravo.
As some have mentioned part of what I really like about this album is that while being about an ending relationship, it is less about feeling spiteful or angry about the relationship itself but more so captures the bitterness and sadness about something ending with someone that you genuinely still really care about and probably love still even if that’s not the word you would use anymore and highlights the painful transitionary period that comes afterward but not when you’ve fully moved beyond it yet to a better place I really hope that Ace of Hearts continues to make music in the future I would love to see them further improve and build their skill set, because the passion and heartfelt emotion is there and has loads of potential
Silver Lining is such a wild song. I feel so many emotions I've never felt before. I've never even been in that kind of situation, but the lyrics, Alpha's voice, all make me feel like I understand it completely.
This is so reminiscent of old rock opera albums where they have the story going throughout the songs of the album. Having a clear story cutting throughout the songs while having them still hit distinct individual emotions that make them work by themselves is so good
I've been an avid fan of Ace of Hearts since the beginning, listening to every release the night it drops. I have not been disappointed by a single song, and I've recommended the band to tons of people. I even made a marching band arrangement of Lights Off for my college's arrangement competition. It ended up being too hard for everyone to read, but I was still very happy with the way it turned out. Keep up the incredible work Jacob, just know that you bring smiles to so many faces and make many days better.
just got recommended this album on Spotify. i loved it, went to the artists page, thought “huh, that guy looks kind of familiar”, and, sure enough, turns out it’s ALPHARAD???
Hey Alpha. You probably don't know me and you never will, I've been a fan of yours for 7? or 6 years. It's been a wild ride, through smash, fwob, hell even sleepaways. I'm not here to say im the best, biggest or oldest fan, but I'd like to say thank you for all you've done. The last few years have brought change after change, the recent things you've been going through breaks my heart, and I really wish the best for you. I won't go into details but every memory is something special, and I'm glad you've made me laugh for years, I think you are one of the best content creators on youtube. At one point I'd consider you my hero, and still do in some aspects. Ace of Hearts really seems like a good way to bring out emotion that maybe was unavailable likewise, and I'm all here for it. Thank you.
Just every single flashback in Silver Lining. Music is almost always personal. No artist goes out and is looking EXCLUSIVELY a #1 hit. Music is something we express ourselves through. I imagine that this album was all things that you have felt, and maybe still are feeling. It’s beautiful. I love it. And so do so many others
I’m seeing a ton of people sharing similar thoughts to what I have in these comments so I thought I’d also give it a shot. I’ve been watching Alpharad since around 2014-2015 and have followed for almost every part of the wild ride, I have basically grown up watching Alpharad and a small handful of other people on TH-cam, and out of that small group, I have to give Alpha a lot of credit for being quite a large part of my childhood, I don’t think I can truly explain how thankful I am. I don’t think I ever would have expected a guy who I watched a ton as a child to later come out with an absolute bop of an album years later that I would instantly adore but here we are, I have a huge amount of respect for Jacob as a person as he has clearly also grown and matured as a person too and I can’t wait to see what he does next.
Same. I’ve been watching him since I was like… 14? 15? Idk, I’m 21 now and just seeing the massive amount of change to the channel and seeing him do what makes him happy is amazing!
Doubt anyone will see this or even read this. But I have heard this album so many times but watching the official video. It made me cry. Keep up the work you do. You have inspired so many and your my biggest inspiration in my life. Thank you for all your videos, songs, and just all you do.
when I first listened to this I was an idiot baby man, but now I've been through a... heartbreaking split. I can say, I shed a couple tears at the last song. This is when I thought I was over things too. Great art, thanks for making it
Everything that Jacob has gone through I can totally feel it in these songs. I’ve never seen nor heard so much emotions in a couple of songs. I hope you’re doing the best in life and find yourself around your friends and loved ones Jacob. This album, these songs are so great, the time and effort put into them is insane I love it. The band is great 👌🏼with killer music and truly this is the best thing to come out of 2021 thx so much for more to come Jacob take care 👋🏼
@@samuelhealy4425 a lot of things, it’s my place to say all the stuff but if you follow him on his Twitter, Jacob pretty much explains a lot of life changing moments. But point is that he’s doing way better now and is gonna keep being Alpharad with new content and things he’s like ya know
Lights Off may have been the best way to start it all, a perfect song for the start of a story (and I really like the beat of it). Speaking of beat, Deadbeat Boulevard is simply an amazing song and I regret neglecting to hear it for 4 weeks now. Also quick shoutout of Monophobia II, its such a good change of pace. Now, Find Me in Your Dreams, Queen of Everything and A Life Frozen in Time are surely the Highlights for me. I'm so glad I decided to follow Ace of Hearts since the day Lighter than Air released. Its so cool to see how creative and good your voice, tunes and songwriting has become. Also! Another shoutout for Adriana and her gorgeous voice in Your Name, its another song I'm deeply attached to; and also the beautiful voice of Deanna, never ceases to surprise me, and this time she delivered. And lets not forget about you Jacob. Thank you for delivering such great music. Will repeat it a thousand times, 10/10 will recommend.
I’d just like to say, a life frozen in time is my favorite song of this year. It’s incredible. The progression of the song, your vocals, everything. It also really shows how much you’ve grown as an artist already. I can not wait for more man. Thank you for this incredible album
It's insane to me how good every track is. Not all of it is to my taste, but that's unavoidable, and there is an undeniable quality and and air of sadness to every song written. Even as a 16 year old with no real romantic experience, this shit still manages to hit me in the feels.
After becoming more appreciative of music of many genres, I’ve come back to this, and can honestly say this is straight up a good friggin album; very diverse.
I had no idea listening to the album that these songs were all interconnected, yet they all just flow into one another so perfectly. I'm so glad I get to see this journey form the beginning. Ive loved every song you've made so far, and I doubt that's going to change
I cant pinpoint exactly why but this entire album is so relatable while never having experienced any of the things the album focuses on. I guess this just shows how well Alphas songwriting and instrumental direction skills are. Props to him and his entire team and the featured artists. :)
Dude, I was thinking the exact same thing for the past couple of days. It’s like, I can’t even imagine what being in this situation is like, and yet, I know exactly what it feels like, and I know how much it hurts. It goes to show just how talented Alpha is, and how amazing he can get when he truly shows a passion for his work. I’ve honestly never seen someone do it like he does.
Literally my thoughts exactly I feel pain listening to most of these songs, especially Silver Lining, because it somehow reminds me of an experience from my past that I've never even come close to dealing with
Everything about this album is incredible, it’s hard to put into words but so many of these songs you make instantly become my favorites, I hope you can continue following your passions as your talent in not just music but so many other things is not only awe inducing, but incredibly inspiring for others too afraid to follow their own passions
I know it’s a running joke to meme on every TH-camr making music at some point, but I’m so excited every time you put something out man. Keep it up. :)
Happy Anniversary Ace of Hearts. I know I'm (almost) a day late, but I'm still so thankful that these scores and scenes and everything having to do with the band is so unique and individualized. It's some of my favorite jam music, and I'm happy to see Jacob being successful and pursing his passions even still. Keep shooting high man. We're all so proud of you and happy to be a part of this community.
ik this entire album is goated, but idk how anyone can say “A Life Frozen in Time” isn’t the best song on the album. There’s so much emotion and I’m not afraid to admit that I cried in the last act of the song. Truly a beautiful song and one of my new favorites of all time
I think that the best songs (in descending order) are: Lights off, Find me in your dreams, a life frozen in time, silver lining, monophobia II, deadbeat boulevard, queen of everything, your name, waiting for your call
The thing I was most happy with in this album is "Her Name" got a louder version to it. The entire Scorpion Queen didn't have a loud audio for some reason, and I would love to have the entire album released louder
One of my favorite albums ever, and one I've consistently listened to since it came out. I love how raw and real Ace's vocals feel. It's so fun to sing along with because it's like you and a homie are just pouring your woes out together and singing for yourselves.
This entire album is absolutely amazing, I'm not normally into slower paced song but almost every song in this album is now on my playlist. Good job jacob, you and everyone who worked on it did an incredible job.
I remember thinking to myself when the Monophobia EP came out, "hey I wonder if these songs are all connected somehow, it sounds like a relationship slowly falling to ruin" almost 2 years later: this
the progression of a quick heartbreak, to prolonged pain, into the resentment of them moving faster than you, and finishing with a listless and lonely finish is just. *chefs kiss* another banger jacob
A life frozen in time might be the best ace of hearts song. This song goes so incredibly hard. 7 and a half minutes fly by and I have to play it again.
A Life Frozen In Time brings back memories I had before this album even existed Idk why, Idk about that kind of thing, but it's insane It feels like ive known that song all my life, even though I learned it existed 2 weeks ago
I remember when the first song was released on April fools and after taking a long while i finally watched it and damn didn't expect alpha to make such good music. Keep up the good work!
Honestly never had much interest in Ace of Hearts but now seeing all the songs connect in a narrative really heightens my experience with the music. Good on you Alpha and everyone involved with Ace of Hearts
My one and only complaint when it comes to this album (and really every Ace of Hearts song) is that Jacob's sultry baritone voice is too low for my tenor vocal range. I have a tough time singing Queen of Everything's intro, the chorus of Lighter Than Air, or the beginning of A Life Frozen in Time. Every song you've put out is phenomenal, I can't wait to see what you have in store for the future!
That's the thing about Jacob's singing voice, a lot of people hate on it but it's just different. I'd say it only ever sounds off in Scorpion Queen next to Johnny's voice
@@pokkiheart Agreed. There's a slight sense of inexperience in his voice, which is something I'm all too familiar with being a singer myself, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's something that every artist goes through. Your first project is almost never your best one, and a lot of the time I find that the lyrics and instrumentals make it so that I don't even notice or care.
Alpha it has felt like watching your videos for the past 5 years that you’ve been right here with me growing up through my hard times and everyone starts a career or a side gig and gets better at it but this album is amazing and I’m so happy for you for trying something your passionate in and go through with it
Not gonna get to watch this until a few hours after it releases, but I'm so hyped! You made a good album, my man. Finally getting to see the equivalent of a Your Name music video is gonna be amazing I bet
Oh my god. Deep space literally gave me chills. The suspension at the end just felt so melancholic. I absolutely would LOVE to write an analysis on the pieces in this album. Jacob’s vocals on this album is really refreshing too, he’s got such a nice timbre and I honestly don’t hear a lot of vocalists (in a lot of more popular music at least) whose voices lay in the same range. Also, this isn’t a music video; its a musical feature length film filled with such a great variety of music.
Also like. I’m hearing so many different styles and influences in this album. Midwest emo, disco, persona 5, pop, ballad, rock. I’m absolutely enamored
I haven't been apart of Alphard's journey and to those of you that have hats off to you but seeing how far he's come is amazing. The Ace of hearts have to have some of the best music I've heard in years it has a sense of passion that I just don't feel in other music. What a awesome album
Jacob, if you're reading this, thank you. You're a real inspiration as a content creator, a composer, and a singer. The sheer amount of work and dedication it must have taken to put all this together is mind-blowing. Mad respect.
as weird as it probably sounds, jacob has been one of my role models for a long time, and this album makes me respect him even more. doing whatever he wants might not get view or gain subs, but you can tell with every video that he really puts his heart into it
i adored this album, it was wonderful to see jacob‘s vocals get better and better. one question for anyone wanting to answer, in “find me in your dreams” there’s a set of lyrics in the chorus saying “i won’t stay, but i won’t go” wouldn’t it make more sense lyrically to say “i won’t stay but i won’t leave? it sounds better following the previous line and it highlights the limbo that the characters are in, only appearing in the others dreams, unable to stay physically or leave mentally.
I'm just going to acknowledge the fact that this man not only made an entire album that is incredible on its own, but actually managed to tell a story via its music video. That is flat out impressive. Queen of Everything and Deadbeat Boulevard were my two favorites by far.
Been jamming to Ace of Hearts since the beginning and A Life Frozen in Time is probably my favorite song, it helped me get through a tough time in my life and was a sad song back then, but now whenever I listen to it I get a small sense of nostalgia as what happened seems so far away now. I cant wait to see what you cook up I’ll wait however long I need to for it.

Yo Caleb listens to Ace of Hearts that's awesome, also a huge fan of yours
I’m subbed to both of you
My significant other of 6+ years just suddenly ended things. Especially right now
“All your red flags sparkle in the sunlight” is such a raw line
I think it’s really special and memorable that no song in this sounds the same. It’s all over and even though not everything is for my taste I can still admire a lot of the artistry here.
Aww, agreed! ^^ I getcha!
I completely agree
Yeah. I wish I had more to say, but I share your sentiment completely.
Returned back to this over a year later, I don’t think I really processed how much passion went into this and how much potential this band has. I’ve been watching since 2016, and the evolution is insane. Hope you make more music in the future, but if you decide not to, I’ll still be here enjoying the ride.

As a fellow 18 year old who's done the same- I feel that.

Some songs were changed a bit, and others stayed just on the EPs, so you might want to go listen to them lol
as another person said, about 5 songs didn't make it onto the album, and are on the EPs. 3 from monophobia (technically 4, as "Monophobia II" is a remake of that and not the exact same), 2 from scorpion queen. Def check those out!
Bro what, go listen to all the songs I get dedication but jeez
This might sound weird, but its so interesting to see Jacob's face in a different light apart from entertaining people by being funny. Hopefully that makes sense.

Yeah, I get that. Feels like he's really being genuine in the album, which isn't something you always see in his normal content.
Its better to see him be bad at relationships
To me, this feels more akin to a visual novel rather than a music video. Each song showing off different parts of Ace's struggle with the breakup, and then we can witness the 5 stages of grief in here as well. Each song builds off the prior ones so well and it gives some of the older ones different meanings too. All in all, a beautiful production by everyone involved
Kinetic novel, rather than visual novel, as it is a story being told, rather than one in which we can make changes.

(AMOGUS)
He moved to Cali where a homeless man stole his chicken.

Thanks, man.

it's crazy how much time has gone by since this album released.

As some have mentioned part of what I really like about this album is that while being about an ending relationship, it is less about feeling spiteful or angry about the relationship itself but more so captures the bitterness and sadness about something ending with someone that you genuinely still really care about and probably love still even if that’s not the word you would use anymore and highlights the painful transitionary period that comes afterward but not when you’ve fully moved beyond it yet to a better place
I really hope that Ace of Hearts continues to make music in the future

Silver Lining is such a wild song. I feel so many emotions I've never felt before. I've never even been in that kind of situation, but the lyrics, Alpha's voice, all make me feel like I understand it completely.

This is so reminiscent of old rock opera albums where they have the story going throughout the songs of the album. Having a clear story cutting throughout the songs while having them still hit distinct individual emotions that make them work by themselves is so good

I love how he did a music video for the whole damn album who else does that?
Like, Les mis technically
I like how monophobia ll is implied to be the second iteration of the song. Even the song couldn't handle being alone
It's insane to me how good every track is. Not all of it is to my taste, but that's unavoidable, and there is an undeniable quality and and air of sadness to every song written. Even as a 16 year old with no real romantic experience, this shit still manages to hit me in the feels.
I thought this was a joke, like “lol, 45 minute music video”
I have never been so happily disappointed

Literally my thoughts exactly
I feel pain listening to most of these songs, especially Silver Lining, because it somehow reminds me of an experience from my past that I've never even come close to dealing with
Everything about this album is incredible, it’s hard to put into words but so many of these songs you make instantly become my favorites, I hope you can continue following your passions as your talent in not just music but so many other things is not only awe inducing, but incredibly inspiring for others too afraid to follow their own passions
I know it’s a running joke to meme on every TH-camr making music at some point, but I’m so excited every time you put something out man. Keep it up. :)
Yeah meme in youtubers for making music because they aren’t artists, but this is something he actually does so it’s different.
usually it’s shitty rap
this is so much different
@@rayandthejets I mean he actually is an artist so you cant meme on him
@@katunu6030 that was my point
Difference is that Jacob was already a musician beforehand lol
Truly a beautiful song and one of my new favorites of all time
It’s not my favorite song in the album, but yeah I absolutely agree that the third part of the song is my favorite *part* of the album
I don't know hiw it took me so long to realize just how much Alpha's southern accent is audible in this
It’s a crime this album is one of his worst performing videos recently, this album is a banger, liked, shared and would have subbed if wasn’t already
Literally, this art is amazing
@@cynthiaobligeasmr exactly
I fully agree
I do think the main reason is that people are listening on other platforms like Spotify or apple music
@@binjamin2911 hopefully
This entire album is absolutely amazing, I'm not normally into slower paced song but almost every song in this album is now on my playlist. Good job jacob, you and everyone who worked on it did an incredible job.
I remember thinking to myself when the Monophobia EP came out, "hey I wonder if these songs are all connected somehow, it sounds like a relationship slowly falling to ruin"
almost 2 years later: this
Scorpion Queen’s EP also followed a story as well listening to them in order
I can't imagine a life without this music tbh, every song on repeat
the progression of a quick heartbreak, to prolonged pain, into the resentment of them moving faster than you, and finishing with a listless and lonely finish is just. *chefs kiss* another banger jacob
A life frozen in time might be the best ace of hearts song. This song goes so incredibly hard. 7 and a half minutes fly by and I have to play it again.
A Life Frozen In Time brings back memories I had before this album even existed
Idk why, Idk about that kind of thing, but it's insane
It feels like ive known that song all my life, even though I learned it existed 2 weeks ago
me too!!
You're only complaint is that it's too good and you can't sing along
@@AeonKnigh432 Exactly. My only complaint is that it's incredible
It’s also really weird hearing the “internet funny man’s” voice singing but his voice is pretty good ngl
Alpha it has felt like watching your videos for the past 5 years that you’ve been right here with me growing up through my hard times and everyone starts a career or a side gig and gets better at it but this album is amazing and I’m so happy for you for trying something your passionate in and go through with it
THE ENTIRE ALBUM AS A MUSIC VIDEO??? THIS IS A WHOLE MOVIE I LOVE THIS
Not gonna get to watch this until a few hours after it releases, but I'm so hyped!
I think Your Name might just be my favorite off this album. Adriana’s vibrato is so good, and that one crunchy chord near the end was just 👌🏻
Honestly the best part about deep space is the instrumental outro, it's so spacy (yes I know I'm the master of puns)
@@toonishigh true!
I can't wait to see where Ace of Hearts goes because this whole album is an absolute masterpiece
they didn’t go much of anywhere they haven’t made music in 2yrs 😭
I've honestly been binging this whole album on repeat since it came out....
Based
Same
Still am another year later
I haven't been apart of Alphard's journey and to those of you that have hats off to you but seeing how far he's come is amazing. The Ace of hearts have to have some of the best music I've heard in years it has a sense of passion that I just don't feel in other music. What a awesome album
gotta be honest now that alpha has transitioned into doing whatever the fuck he wants to, his content has gotten 100% better.
Jacob, if you're reading this, thank you. You're a real inspiration as a content creator, a composer, and a singer. The sheer amount of work and dedication it must have taken to put all this together is mind-blowing. Mad respect.
Anyone else still coming back to listen to this banger of an album :)
Legit thought that this wasn’t an album, but Jacob just staring at a snow globe for 44 minutes.
as weird as it probably sounds, jacob has been one of my role models for a long time, and this album makes me respect him even more. doing whatever he wants might not get view or gain subs, but you can tell with every video that he really puts his heart into it
He's even a health model, he lost so much weight up to the Smash bros spiderman video. Like my eyes widened at that.
i adored this album, it was wonderful to see jacob‘s vocals get better and better. one question for anyone wanting to answer, in “find me in your dreams” there’s a set of lyrics in the chorus saying “i won’t stay, but i won’t go” wouldn’t it make more sense lyrically to say “i won’t stay but i won’t leave? it sounds better following the previous line and it highlights the limbo that the characters are in, only appearing in the others dreams, unable to stay physically or leave mentally.
i believe its just so it rhymes with the next line, "find me in your dreams or stay alone"
@@cereal092 you got it right on the money
I think that my favorite aspect of this album is that it tells a whole story, and this visual brings it to life brilliantly. Beautiful
I'm just going to acknowledge the fact that this man not only made an entire album that is incredible on its own, but actually managed to tell a story via its music video. That is flat out impressive.
Queen of Everything and Deadbeat Boulevard were my two favorites by far.
I personally think that this album needs more love as this just has so many bangers like lights off
Been jamming to Ace of Hearts since the beginning and A Life Frozen in Time is probably my favorite song, it helped me get through a tough time in my life and was a sad song back then, but now whenever I listen to it I get a small sense of nostalgia as what happened seems so far away now. I cant wait to see what you cook up I’ll wait however long I need to for it.
