Here in this video you'll see how the Tech Glitch works to allow your characters to have techs from both T and S-Type, which is not normally possible.
You'll need 2 items to turn your character's orientation quickly, The Strike and Technical Ring.
The Strike Ring: Left of Pass to Balacruf Mausoleum
The Technical Ring: northwest from Luin
here are the instructions that i found on Gamespot.com, this one uses Flame Lance and Explosion, in my video i use Aqua Laser and Tidal Wave.

Tech glitch
Tech glitch allows you to have T-type and S-type techs at the same time.
This is how it works: (for example)
1. Put Lloyd to the first place of your party and set Genis' Eruption to Lloyd's C-stick shortcut.
2. Switch Lloyd out of your party.
3. Have Genis forgot his Eruption and switch him to S-type. Then battle until he learns Flame Lance.
4. Switch Genis back to T-type.
5. Save the game! (Do not save or look at the tech list after this)
6. Now put Lloyd back to the first place of your party.
7. Go to battle and use that Eruption shortcut with Lloyd. Genis must relearn Explosion during this battle, if not, Eruption shortcut from C-stick is gone.
8. And if you didn't succeed, repeat from the step 5. If you succeed you have now both Genis' Explosion and Flame Lance.
**IMPORTANT**
This glitch won't work if.
1.- The Advanced Techs from S and T require the same base tech.
Example: Tempest is required for both Omega Tempest (T tech) and PSI Tempest (S tech)
2.- If an advanced Tech requires to have already learned 2 techs from S or T (This happens most likely for Genis)
Example: Gravity Well requires Thunder Blade and Stalagmite in order to be learned, you can't have both Prism Sword and Gravity Well since the first one needs Atlas and Absolute, but to get Absolute you need to have Grave(Stalagmite's counterpart) and Freeze Lancer... Confusing uh xP?.
Good lord, Genis is a horribly confusing example to use on this. This basically boils down to hotkeying a skill that you are going to delete on a character with someone in slot 1, moving them out of the party, deleting the skill that you hotkeyed, then moving them back into the team later when the person learning techs has switched back to that orientation and needs to spam that Lvl 2/ Mid skill/spell, right?
Omega and Psi Tempest have the same base tech, Tempest, so you're not able to get them both at the same time.
Unfortunately Genis can't learn Gravity Well unless you have Thunder Blade and Stalagmite. you can't learn it just like the other techs where you need to use one specified tech certain number of times in order to get the advanced one.
Look for the TS Tech chart by StarCross at gamefaqs to check out what's needed for each advanced tech.

Learning the glitched abilities is easier the more aligned you are to one side. (Halfway on a side, when the arrows start to turn orange, works well.)
Bisicly, for things with 3 levels for example aqua edge, spread and tidal wave you can only have 1 Mid-level spell for each element. I would go with aqua lasor for Genis because you need the mid of both elements required for his S type skills, thus you get the advance for both his S type and T type.
@JaimeHR I haven't actually tried this myself, but if I'm understanding correctly you COULD have both TWIN tiger blade and tiger rage since twin tiger blade is a level 3 S type tech, correct? You can only "double dip" on techs that have a single T or S type tech as a prerequisite, not ones with multiple prerequisites or type neutral prerequisites, am I right?

I'm afraid you can't have Heavy Tiger Blade and Tiger Rage toghether because both are lvl 2 techs and share the same requirements in order to be learned. So if you already got Tiger Rage, you cant learn Heavy Tiger Blade.
T-Type for Techincal Type Techs, and S-Type for Strike Type Techs... Aqua Laser's Type is S while Spread is T.
Since Spread is Aqua Laser's counter part, you can't have both of them, if you want to learn Spread(T-Type tech) you need to forgot Aqua Laser(S-Type tech) and get your character oriented to T.
a minor correction to my statement. the ring is actually on the same little island the the balacrauf mausloeum is. its near the mountain range.
you keep the T-Type techs even if your character is on S-Type, You'll get techs like "Spread" back on your list but with blue colored font, which means that is no available and it will stay like that unless you forget its counter part "Aqua Lazer" and then try to relearn Spread normally.
A Cheat disc. Put it in and activate any pre-made cheat codes you want first then put the game in and play as normal with the code's effects taking place (invincibility for instance)
em i have a question emmm... example when you forget spread and you have tidal wave, can you lern spread again ? using aqua edge ?

@holykirby95 Aren't they both based on Photon? In that case, Mithos is just breaking the rules...
I heard you can do this with Raine to make her get all her healing spells except Nurse. Is that true? And if it is, how would you do that? Wouldn't the constant switching force all the other spells on that side to be deleted?
I f I want to get some strike spells for Genis, can I still go back to learning Tech spells? Also, to learn the strike skills I had to delete both my two tech spells that I had already learned and learn them again in the same battle, otherwords it would only show the Tech spells I could get in grey.
@pikalink2 it's because absolute and prism sword don't need any thunder spells on s type to learn each other absolute needs freeze lancer and grave to be learned and prism sword needs atlas which is water and air so aqua laser and air blade
So...Now you can't have Tidal Wave+Spread+Aqua Laser? Only Tidal and Aqua?
This most likely works to get lvl 3 techs from both sides S and T, because once you learn any lvl 2 tech from the S -type(Aqua Laser), you can't learn his T variant(Spread, which is needed for Tidal Wave).
Is there a way you can learn Prism Sword and Tidal Wave? That and Absolute are the only Strike spells for Genis I care about. Ditto for Ray and Holy Lance.
does the "tech usage" affect this glitch in any way?
im trying to glitch away Lloyd's heavy tiger blade, so i can has both tiger rage and heavy tiger blade but he won't learn shit

Damnit, this is a bit confusing--the "***IMPORTANT***" part.
So like, can I have Prism Sword, Atlas, and Absolute, and still have Indignation?
You must forget Aqua Laser first, there's no other way to get Spread back if you still have Aqua Laser (unless you cheat with Action Replay, Codebreaker, GameShark, etc. to get all techs enabled)
If I want to keep learning tech spells after I do the cheat can I? Cause to learn some strike spells I had to forgot both of the mid level tech spells I had already learned. The strike spell I had wanted Genis wouldn't learn, instead I kept getting more grey spells.
I think the coolest part about this is having Fierce Demon Fang and Demonic Chaos at the same time since Demonic Circle is terrible! Tiger Rage and Twin Tiger Blade together is also cool since Tiger Rage doesn't have a level 3. :P

So in other words the glitch doesn't work for techs requiring two spells such as gravity well and absolute. That sucks but oh well I guess that'd be a little greedy.

Can someone give me the instructions to get tiger rage and twin tiger blade at the same time, i read the text in the discription box and it seems to confusing for me.
Also i need some major help, i ahve both the tech and strike rings, and i am trying to get raine to become strike type. she is level 53, full t-type. I have tried running away about 50 times and she is still full t-type. plz help
@elago98 no you can't sadly so you either want eruption or flame lance personally I'd choose flame lance because it will give me more like spiral flare and stuff

okay i got this but does this mean i can't have aqua laser AND spread? cause i know they both need aqua edge and these both are midlvl magic.

Works for the rest of the characters.
For Lloyd it is possible to have Demonic Chaos and Demonic Circle using this glitch.

does this mean you cant use this glitch with rain to get both revitalize and revive cause they both have first aid as the base tech? ive been trying but the shortcut keeps not working even though it says heal should just be on there..
where do u get the t and s rings?
@juliastory the only way that would work is in a way without the tech glitch so lets say you forget the spell that is t-type that is connected to prisim sword s-type if you do that and switch him to s-type and make him learn prisim sword it should work!!!! worked for me!!!!

You need to switch your EX-Skills so that more than half are S-Type and/or equip the Strike Ring.
This works with Indignation too??

Yeah, but you'll also need to rise your character's level to learn the advanced techs or it won't work
how did you get your level so high?
You can try the Phantom Knight at Derris Kharlan, It is immune to all elements.

anyway... i've seen that dreaded wave comes out of nothing so it's normal that i have it. one last question: does it really matter the 2nd element of a double-element attack? e.g., earth bite is Earth/Lightning but the symbol is just Earth's one. (or viceversa, i can't remember XD) well... tha ks 4 explaining this glitch, now my genis is pretty powerful! yay! ^_^

No say you had all S and you kept the techs when you beat it then you'd start with all S techs and would not learn anything new unless you forgot your first techs

This was fixed on the PS2 version and the steam version is very likely to be a port of that version of the game.

este glitch es efectivo y no ala ves x ejemplo:
1.- si empesaste con genis siendo T no creo q te acostumbres facilmente, ya qe los ataqes medios T (eruption wind blade) etc.. tienen mas alcanse y los de tipo S son + fuertes pero son casi solo para un mounstro
encambio
2.- si empesastes con genis en S desde el principio perfecto ya qe las 5 tecnicas nuevas qe aprendera son letales y de gran alcanse
en lo personal yo lo tenia en T y todavia no me convence mucho

Jeah, i think so too. I've done this too and if i do this glitch with tiger blade, i set Heavy Tiger blade on C-stick. After doing all this, i use C-stick and anstead learning heavy Tiger blade he lerns Twin Tiger blade (im fine with that, but i want to have ALL!! XD) (sry about my bad english, im from austria ^^`)
i hope this works for the steam version... i didnt even realize this existed on gamecube

its cause he has the exp x10 u only get it at the grade shop. and u hav to beat the game for that. u get a lot of exp cause of it and r likely to finish the game at a high level. :P
