How do Titles Work? - Tales of Symphonia

- To start off, I just want to explain what purpose titles actually serve and explain how they work, why they're important, and how to get them.
I want to say this video is spoiler-free other than the fact that you can see a good chunk of the titles that Lloyd can get along with their descriptions, none of which spoil anything except MAYBE one of them if you really looked into it and read the description, but even then I would not consider it that big of a spoiler. Proceed at your own discretion!
I once did a playthrough where I took half exp and minimal hp and then used statless titles the whole way through while playing on mania mode. That was really, really hard. Got easier once I got Presea because she can actually tank, but there was a lot of gameovers before that, with some bosses needing 20+ tries to beat.
Did u do all bosses?
Run away 256 time at the start in hard mode.
It will still count as complete battles for the berserker title, 100% chance to get extra hp and strength and other great stats for lloyd, he will snowball out of control.
Neat! This does prevent Lloyd from gaining the Brave Soul title though if you're a completionist. You have to not run from ANY fights until a certain point in the story to get that one.
I feel that HP and TP are whole number based. For example, the arena titles give a +3 to TP and I'm pretty sure you get +3 TP per level up, not 30% chance. As for the other stats, I didn't know it was % based, I always assumed it was a decimal value towards that stat, example, +4 to INT added 0.4 INT per level up.
I believe you are right about both
it's just that chance and decimals work out to the same thing on average

Thanks for the video. Wish you had more! Playing it on Switch now. I like it but the game makes you work to figure things out. Took me over a week to figure out how to unleash Unison in battle. You press the right control stick down. Not sure what to do from there. Just discovered how to do it last night before i shut the game down.

What title is best
There is a title I am currently trying to get for Lloyd. I've looked it up, and apparently, you have to play the game until you beat the Palmacosta Ranch with Lloyd using the Wooden Swords.
You can't unequip them. You MUST keep them equipped the whole time until you get the title.
This title doesn't sound like it's worth the trouble until you realize it increases ALL STATS
