Nice video man. Love the overnight camping / cooking on the fire. You're right about the sandflies, they're the one thing that can ruin a trip. The scenery is outstanding.
Cool vid man! Yea the rubbish left is always a downer when arriving at campsites. We do the same thing taking everyone elses rubbish out so that was cool to see!
Tourism life means I never have weekends off to enjoy club missions but its definitely on the agenda to get back out with ya'll again. Weekends could be a thing this winter season. fingers crossed.
Awesome video mate, Im looking at a trip to NZ soon I'm from Sydney. Doing my research around Queenstown and loved this video and spot. It's hard to plan a trip from google maps haha.
Old man range is definitely a more spectacular track than this one. I find the views from Old Man unlike anything else in NZ. This was definitely a nice quiet little, lower valley weekend but no land owners are needed to be contacted yet.
@@lostsheepadventures all good I just wanted to make sure I was told the track was smashed by flooding looks like you done it okay it’s years ago we went up there we were going to go up there over summer but was told it was smashed ,we mite do it this coming summer are things still the same or has the station made it harder to get in cheers
Well there's plenty around but not many I've had a chance to drive through. Central South Island is my local and they definitely seem to be at either end of the south.
Indeed! Smashed up the stock one in the hopkins, couldn't open the boot without the persuasive measures of a hammer. So it is in the plan, to get a swing out wheel carrier on there too and move the spare tyre out from underneath it. Being a 3rd Gen Surf, no one makes a reasonably priced bar so there is a little thinking and making involved and i'm no welder haha

You got that right! They definitely drove me away in the end haha but I'll be back. Seems to be doing well! So I might have to do more of this style.
Omgggg yessssss this is it guys love it keep it up
Hej man no way that dude from MTG nights doing such amazing offroading.
Jan
100% is! Haha you've now seen my two major hobbies 😅
Good to hear the the bird life in the mornings
There were so many bell birds! It was actually amazing to hear them so strong.
Nice scenery

Couldn't agree more. It doesn't take much to take it out, so I'm completely unsure why the people before us couldn't do it
Definitely on my to do list for this summer. Thanks mate😊
No problem! 👍 it is a wicked little trip
There was some pure 4x4 and camping ASMR going on there!
Mint trip and awesome vid. Keep em coming! 👌
Thanks mate! Thought I'd try something a little different in this one and seemed to have paid off!
Nice corner of Southland that!
It's almost hard to find a non-nice corner of the south island 😄
Keep pushing bro keen to see it
Thanks man! Appreciate it
Good local spot to check out close to home, great work picking up the trash too. Look fwd to the next vid.
Thanks! I believe you can get up the valley adjacent to this one, so that might be the next solo mission.
Just found your channel. Bloody awesome! Going back through all the content
Welcome aboard! There are some wicked videos to browse through. I'm sure you'll find something close to home.
Another ripper video bro keep it up 🤟🏽
Cheers mate! Appreciate it!!

100% each longer trip I plan is hard work finding trails and trail conditions. It's a beautiful spot to get into! This and Skippers canyon
Camped in pretty much exact spot few weeks ago. So good!! We filled almost 3 rubbish bags on our trip into here 😢
Wow. Seems like a local dumping spot then. Shame because it will only get closed because of these people.
Have been there. Cowshed hut. Thought the whole eyre station area was closed. Maybe not that bit hah
Eyre Creek track was closed down due to abuse and damage. Other bits still remain open.
Yeah we went to eyre station a few weeks ago it’s closed alright
Lol send it the paprika awesome vid once again
Thanks!
Just discovered your channel. Awesome Videos. if the sandflies are really bad you can use Half Dettol half baby oil. works a treat.
Cheers man! That is also an old bush trick. Honestly not often heard of these days
Where do you get the Tui balm?
I've found it in most pharmacy's but it's not well advertised or shown. Perhaps online could be a better shout
Is that the head waters of the Mataura river? And the hut cowshed? Nice place up there
Good spotting!
I didn’t know this track was open did you need to contact any landowners? I was gonna go the other week but opted for old man range

@@lostsheepadventures cheers I’ll have to check it out once it starts warming up a bit have a good one
Hello there that hut looks like cowshed hut and the Mataura river ?
You would be correct

Should get yourself a swag bro. So easy and convenient
Have since picked up a swag and a roof top tent haha
Used to have both but ended up selling both to upgrade and this was the gap between.
@@lostsheepadventures swag on a stretcher is the ultimate luxury.
i live in queenstown. Would you be able to ride a dirtbike on the 4wd track?
Yeah, just please play nice. there is a lot of damage off track from dirt bikes throughout the region. Cheers!
@@lostsheepadventures Ok sweet. So just stay on the 4wd track and dont be a nonce. Cheers mate. Is this near coronet peak or is it more near remarks
@@Comm253 Its south, beyond Kingston
Don't get too many pine forests around New Zealand??
Well there's plenty around but not many I've had a chance to drive through. Central South Island is my local and they definitely seem to be at either end of the south.
Are you planning on getting a rear bar on the truck?

What psi u running your tires at through that terrain ?
I generally drop to 18psi every time on everything unless I'm hitting sand
Really enjoying your channel, shame about the c v. It sounded like you were sending a morse code sos all the way home, lol, cheers ❤
ahaha! Yeap, she was definitely knocking hard on the trip home! easy fix though, even had a spare in the rig.
hahah I know this dude hahah
