At the cave, "I wont go far I promise" ... Im curious whats making that noise".😁. Epic Adventure you guys had! looks gnarly for the fam tho, added to bucketlist. Future Mission!!😁
Dam! Sounds like I need to get back there and film a second attempt then! On the map, the road to Lake Onslow just shows it'd a gravel road so skipped it out haha note taken.
@@lostsheepadventures yea well from the church gate that bogged out one goes back to the onslow rd which is the one in the muddboggers Vid you asked about
Chur bro just found your channel and me and the missus are binging it. Hopefully coming down your way from all the way up in the far north in a couple of weeks, be keen to link up and do some trails?
Hey mate, looking at subscribing to the 4x4explorer to access track locations and was just wondering if it covers tracks in north island aswell? because on the website it says south island tracks. Love your videos btw!
It is limited on the North island. Its all a work in progress. Highly reccomend for the South. For the North at the moment maybe overland NZ app could be better suited
Hey Jono, how hard is the Serpentine Track? 4x4Explorer rate it a grade 4. Our convoy heading down in Dec/Jan has that track on our route. Did you guys just choose the hardest lines or where there alternatives to places where the Datsun broke a mirror and scratched the door? Just asking as the convoy has some standard 4wd dbl cabs (hilux) and if he does panel damage it would be the end of the world. Anyways, thought I'd reach out to get some local knowledge. Thanks for the great content.
I would say its a grade 4. We did take the harder lines but where 'Yeti' broke his mirror is the main road/track. Someone has pushed a track around it through the tussock grasses to avoid that entire section which i don't really approve of. It looks to have been driven so many times now though that its basically an alternative. In saying that, i drove the hard lines in an almost stock surf. The body damage could've been avoided with 5mins more prepping and the bash plate too. 10 minutes of track building goes along way into improving the drive-ability of a track and keeping it maintained.
Blew the motor and sold it mate! SAS hilux is a plan for many years down the line IF it comes to the point where the IFS just can't keep up. In the mean time, its a nice comparison of an IFS hilux vs Solid axle Saf haha
@@jordanralston1182 oh awesome man! Some serious cool places to explore in this region. Highly reccomend joining a club and a nice starting adventure is the Nevis. Can't really go too wrong with it haha
Looks like a pretty gnarly track. Epic landscape!
Looks like a cool track, that cave was cool too! Awesome video mate 👍
Mate dead keen to get back to that cave and find the source of the noise. Dead freaky going in alone with minimal light though!

Awesome video mate!
Always knew Santa is actually traveling around the world on a jeep...
that safari is an absolute weapon i want one when im older
It's a weapon both on and off road. Very capable and epic build, a real beauty to see up close but of course, that epicness did come at a price haha
up the kettle! nice vid brother, did serptine myself last month, but from the onslow rd to the church some big bogs on that side

Awssome. Enjoyed the video
Amazing adventure.
The tracks in NZ are amazingly similar to those around me in Wales, in the UK.
Awesome content
That's it I'm getting my truck going ahaha I drive a kzn130 surf and would love to go on a trip like this on day
The old surfs go hard mate! This one has definitely surprised me with its capabilities, although it could be the driver 😜🤣
Cool! 👍

Go the mighty surf
Awesome stuff Jono, do you run breathers on the surf?
It should be one of the first mods to a vehicle just to save you replacing the diff oils all the time. Will be doing a video on it in the new year
@@lostsheepadventures awesome, I have a kit ready to go just dreading doing it lol.
