    SOG Power Pint, no joke for it's size (and price, $50) there is none that can beat it, compare the pliers to much larger multi-tools, the Power Pint pliers are not much smaller and they are gear assisted.

      That’s exactly what I EDC like forever. Nothing this small has such force in the pliers, while literally living in the watch pocket of your jeans. You always have it with you! Throw in some hex bits in your wallet and you're set.

      The Power Pint is my preferred pocketable EDC. $70.00 Canadian for the black oxide. A little pricey. Small but mighty. The scissors leave something to be desired, but a great tool nonetheless. I keychain carry a mini pair of Fiskers scissors.

  • @Spanky8402
    @Spanky8402 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I just got myself a knifeless rebar and I love it. I am thinking about adding a tool or 2 and getting arid of the lanyard lupe. I am going to use my Charge G10, more for a casual carry. I love the fact I can carry it and a Victorinox Rambler and not have any attention from a cop or from people who panic when they see a knife. Cops are starting to question why people are carrying a knife in my area and this setup is amazing. I have been carrying a small knife, with a small flashlight, on a locking carabiner since around 2005. Right now it's a Olight IR2 Pro and a Victorinox Rambler. The Multiforce has served me very well for about a year, but after a cop questioned me having a 1 hand opening knife, I have been more cautious to pull it out. It feels so good to not have that issue. A few DOT officers and regular police officers have seen my smaller knives and they have mentioned that isn't a problem and thanked me for carrying a non threatening knife. It's small but I used it to cut thousands of shrink wrapped pallets and boxes over the years of semi driving. I don't drive over to road, at least not right now, but I am always finding a need for a light and/or a knife almost daily.

      You can have an extra tool over a knife blade. Using your nice knife is the point of carrying a nice knife. Otherwise you're just carrying a nice knife that you won't use? Like for the surge or charge, they could put the can/bottle opener on the other side and put a 1/4 bit driver where the leatherman driver is.

      I just really am not enjoying carrying my leatherman (and a few extras) on a belt carry sheath. I have come to terms now that I'm not going to be pocket-carrying it. So I'm trying to break down what I use from it and just putting the individual tools in it but miniaturized. Like of course got to have knipex pliers then a Victorinox alox cadet. A ratchet bit driver with a straight bit on the bottom and the leatherman bit set. And some 5-inch straight-cut wire cutters with strippers. And fold away small scissors. And a few other things. Also the SOG Power Assist, we wouldn't put it on the top 50, lets just leave it at that..! Congrats another 10 points for that. As for making the Top 10 list, we don't have enough experience & knowledge to even considering it plus we don't have a collection of multitools. We're not collectors at all but we purchase generic multitools & mod it to our specification and make it functional to our needs which is mostly for outdoors activities, our primary usages. The Victorinox Work Champ has to be THE most underrated multitool of all time. For someone like me who doesn't need a set of bulky pliers every day, the Work Champ has a better tool set than even the Victorinox Spirit MX (clip), & certainly above Leathermans for me, cause I don't like to baby care my multitools a lot, for e.g. de-rusting them, keeping them away from moisture, etc. With a Victorinox you could just rinse it in soap water, dry it off, & its squeaky clean with no fear of rust. Plus this one has all the necessary tools in extra large length, except huge pliers (which many multitool 'collectors' swear by, but practically never use daily) (it has a small pliers still). I bought a cheap $10 Stanley 130mm wire cutter & stripper (it is equivalent to $3 in INR as I paid ₹277 only for it, while large multitools are sold for more than their dollar equivalent prices in India due to import taxes & customs) for any handyman electrical wiring work (the Work Champ technically has wire cutters, but they aren't good for electrical work tbh). What are your thoughts about this?

      I never heard it called babycare with LMs but you're right actually, I'm disgusted by how easily they rust. I have a Rebar at home, where the heating is on and there is no mosture, and I never take it outdoors but somehow it still manages to rust. I'm in the UK and these things are pricey as heck compared to Victorinox.

    • @sreejitghosh4629
      @sreejitghosh4629 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@simonh6371 thats true here in India too, the dollar conversion rate comes out more than 1X the price than Victorinox, albeit not drastically high, but the rate is higher. I just came up with "babycare", I've seen images & videos of so many Leathermans getting rusted, but not one of Victorinox. My Victorinox Pioneer X Alox has been my EDC since last 5 years, it doesn't look any different than how it did when I bought it. I recently bought the Work Champ, not for EDC, but as a tool box for when I am away from home.

    The bad side? Based on what other TH-camrs have recommended to use it, we will have a millions of content as videos, articles, reviews and books created by people too lazy to put their own expertise and research efforts on the line.
    I guess the write me an essay for the English class is now a 2 clicks thing.
    That’s why I like to consume content by real creators like you! 0:22
    I guess the next step will be the AI bot removing AI generates content. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    The thing with these so called ai's is they aren't actually making any decisions merely using a complex way of picking the most likely next word. They aren't thinking in any meaningful sense and the output is very variable and not consistent.

      @@maxlvledc I agree it's prompting a fun and interesting discussion I just think it's good to be clear about what we are discussing because I think the term AI leads to some very wrong conclusions if people aren't familiar with the tech.

      We are still at the first level of AI, and working toward the second level, Artificial General Intelligence. When we reach that point, AI should be able to think as well as humans (hopefully MUCH better than lots of humans!). The 3rd level, Superintelligent AI, will seem god-like to us and we are not sure how soon after AI reaches the second level it will reach the 3rd. Interesting times ahead. I hope you do this again in a few years to see how different the results are. Nice video!

    Good video! The "eye" reminds me of "2001"...why use something artificial & whose data is not really up to date when you, Dominic, can give us your take on it...not to mention the experiences of the folks who have made comments here...PST, Supertool(OG), Wave(NW, +), Supertool 300,Surge(NS), SuperChamp(Cybertool elect.), Swisstool Spirit(OG), Swisstool, Rev...
