In Malaysia, the Evo II was sold as the Proton Wira. Essentially what Proton did was put a underperforming 4G13 engine and sold it as an everyday car. But since the Wira is only a re-badged Evo II with an inferior engine it wasn't long before Malaysian car enthusiast started swapping the 4G13 engine with the 4G63 and suddenly you got yourself an Evo II for cheap. Currently a used Proton Wira can be found for as lower than $1090 so one does not have to spend so much money on it.

While not being powered by the 4G63, and only made around 140hp, it was incredibly light, and even Michael Schumacher drove one to a top speed of 236 km/h. 236 km/h with a 140hp car. ^^^ 22B!!!
2:22 Winnipeg Represent! I've raced that Evo 1!
I appreciate the older evo's more so than the new-ish one's. My top choice would be an evo 3. But I don't even think I'd be the least bit excited if someone were to just hand me the keys to a so-called evo x...
What about a 4-6?
@@amildlydisappointingsalad6058 for me the best generations are 4, 5 and 6, then 1, 2 and 3 and from Evo 7 to 10 they are meh
@@kevinsantos7031 I like to think of evos 7-9 as a direct modernized Evo 4-6 chassis. I mean do you see how similar they look and preform? The Evo 3 still holds the ace in my heart though, with the X being my least favorite
Go for a drive in an Evo X and you will be Suprised :)
I just hit my year mark with my Evo 2 and I love it!
