I just recently got a pixel 6 and I love it ! I upgraded from a Galaxy S10 and really enjoy this phone. The optical fingerprint sensor is not as good as the Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on my Galaxy S10 and the flagship in phones that are out but for 400-600 less than flagship phones I am ok with it ( doing multiple fingerprints of the same finger or thumb helps make the fingerprint sensor much more accurate). The tensor processor works well even for gaming ( Call of Duty Mobile ) and I find the 8GB of the DDR5 ram in this phone is ok for me even though I do run a lot of apps and am using about 7/8gb of the ram. I purchased my phone unlocked directly from Google and am considering rooting it as the bootloader is unlockable 😈. Overall I am very happy with this phone !

I was a little disappointed with the power supply missing, but Apple and Samsung do that too now.
As a note, the Google Pixel can do rapid charging with a 30Watt PSU, so if you want the fastest charging performance, you may want to look for a 30W charger rather than a 20W one.
The Pixel 6 and 6 PRo are very similar. I think the refresh rate, physical size and rear cameras are the only differences

I've been living on the edge without one and so far so good. All my other Pixels had a random scratch so I need to get one though.
I now want that colorful G on the back of the phone like in the thumb nail

I really appreciate your content it's been very helpful ... I am still new in this smart home thing.. I'f I recall correctly in one of your videos you mentioned the 5g and the 2.4g , I've currently received a notification from my wifi telling me that my wifi will stop working if I don't do an update allowing it to chose what is 5g and what is 2.4 should I do this? I denied it cause things don't work together if there not on same wifi... i would appreciate it so much if you could tell if I made a mistake thank you
There is a 5G wifi and a 2G wifi. Look at someone's phone if it's a higher end it will say example

Hi. I was using an OP 8T 12/256gd for a year and found it pretty annoying after the Oxygen OS 12 update. Then after the excitement of Oxygen 13 update, my phone went dead due to overheating issue and still cannot be revived till now. So I decided to get a second hand Pixel 6 Pro.

Have you had any slow down on the pixel 6? I've heard other reviewers have that problem. Also it's funny you are using an Anker 511. I just reviewed an Anker Battery Pack. 😁
So a few weeks ago I had a couple of days where there was something hanging the device up. It took forever to get to recent apps and to the notification shade. I rebooted the phone and that all went away. Then the January update came the next day and the phone has been absolutely solid since then.
I should be getting an Anker battery soon!
@@TechWithBrett Anker makes some really good battery packs imo. The one I just reviewed was good, not great for the price imo.

Hi, I have a question. I'm assuming this is the 128 gig model? Wondering why there is only 88gig left on a new phone. Does software really eat up 40gigs
So starting out with a New Phone with 128gb of storage, how much Free Space is left after setting up your phone? I know the answer is different for everyone BUT is there an average? I'm starting to think 128gb isn't really all that much. Thanks.
Dumb question if I do Google contacts do I need to do phone contacts. Just don't want to create duplicate entries...happened to me with older versions (or can I just skip the phone contacts when transferring over)
You don't need to do phone contacts. It did duplicate on my device but I just used the Google Contacts app to merge them.
Doc Andrews is more better on the Android 12 because it has those team icons dead match the wallpaper and those widgets so i recommend keeping it
What happened to the other 40gb of storage on the Pixel?
Moving from a Google Pixel to Pixel is so much smoother than this.
For example all your settings and preferences are moved over automatically. Things like the quick settings menu and other things you've set over the years.
It will also automatically set all of your home screen app icons including shortcuts as well that you have set up ok the pixel launcher 😁
I have actually never tried this and that sounds amazing. I really wish that you could restore to other non pixels devices and vice versa but I don't think that will happen.
@@TechWithBrett Actually, if you use the same GMail address, you can - I migrated from a Galaxy S7 to my Pixel 3a that way. My 3a had the screen fail recently, and I migrated back (temporarily) until I get a new phone next month.

Hope you can help. How do I get around waking up multiple devices (phone, tablet, etc.) everytime I try to talk to my Google Nest Max? It's very annoying when all of the devices wake up and provide a response. I'm thinking of switching to Alexa devices to get around this, but I really don't want to
The easiest way to do this is to disable Google Assistant on your phone. I mainly only use Google Assistant on my displays so that works best. To do that go to your profile in the Google Home app, tap Assistant Settings. Scroll to Hey Google and Voice Match, and then turn it off.

The Pixel had been really nice to have. I of course miss the S Pen and a few other Samsung features like DeX but it has been a pretty great phone.

Just got the phone the pixel 6 Pro very disappointed plus plus I had an $800 credit on my trade in, I am still bringing the phone back , keeping my LG V60

a least it was when I transferred from my Nexus 6p to my Pixel 3a XL
you can not transfer from other phones if the other phone has Google assistant as a separate app and/or it is not built in to the phones OS like it is on a pixel because it causes the assistant to get FUBAR on the pixel
it might seem to work at first but trust me it is FUBAR , and will cause all kinds of problems
if you do this plan on doing a factory data reset on your device to get assistant to ... I cant say work right because it never did but to not be as bad as it is I guess
Google could have improved this and fixed it on later model pixel phones but given Googles track record for fixing things I highly doubt it
That is a pretty odd issue. I'll keep an eye on it but so far I haven't seen anything like that happen.
@@TechWithBrett maybe it was just an issue going from the nexus to pixel I don't know ,I had the assistant app on the nexus

I don't remember if the transfer gave me the option to select the individual apps like in your video or not though
maybe you could just no select it to be transferred , not sure how it works on Samsung phones these days ,do you still have a separate app on the Samsung ?

of course GA is pretty useless now that Google has disabled trusted voice unlock
I cant do anything with it from the lock screen ,can not play or control music, can not make calls , can not control smart home devices, it is literally 100% useless
everything requires the phone to be unlocked no matter what, it just sucks
and I have personalized results on and the lock screen option on ,it makes on difference
I Have a custom voice enables a British voice but in Android Auto if I use assistant
sometimes I hear the normal assistant voice and sometimes I hear the British voice and sometimes I hear both depends on the type request ,sometimes it replies with the British voice while the normal voice is saying an error message
I will not buy another phone till Google fixes their horrible assistant and brings back trusted voice ,GA is a mess and especially when you have google homes I can't believe after all these years they still haven't added a quick setting to mute the mic input for GA
it's just ridiculous, and no separate wake words and bad ,what Alexa calls "ESP"
plus I don't want Android 12 because hey took away the one thing they did right which is the smart home menu in the power menu options, would it have killed them to lave that in there
also they broke calling on google home
I used it to call local businesses a lot now it doesn't work anymore because you have to add the number to your contacts first which nobody wants to do , and even then it still doesn't work it doesn't even work for calling my staple contacts anymore either

After using the phone for a few months now I will say the battery life isn't great, but that might be because it doesn't charge up all the way on my Samsung charger. I also had one day of it glitching pretty bad but after a reboot that hasn't happened again.

The Battery improves, (Greatly), the more you use the Phone. 'It Learns'.
I've been using the Charger that came with my Nexus 6P.....it reads 'Rapidly Charging' and Does just That.
It may not charge as quickly as some Phones, however once it does the learning part, The Battery Just Seems to Last Forever 😱 !

The best way to set up this phone is to reseal it back in its box and return it to the store and wait for the next pixel to be released see if that one will be any better
