Hannah commenting on Linda projecting being a bad therapist. Me remembering the first season (spoiler) when she is sleeping with Lucifer in trade for providing therapy.
I really liked Lucifer because of how whimsical he is, it’s so unexpected and funny. I only got used to it like halfway through season one, and now I’m just used to him being that way. There are a lot of moments though where he’s not really scary, but more intensely… surprising I guess. Like when his devil really shines through in the first few seasons where Chloe doesn’t know he’s the devil, and she’s actually afraid of him.
God, I cracked up so many times while watching this. Everyone singing another one bites the dust to a dead body, Lucifer being not at all intimidating, all of it was just unintentionally hilarious
thats the joke, the shows primarily a comedy, at least by the later seasons, its 100% intentional and it really doesnt take its self seriously, great show, but none of it really makes sense without watching everything thats come before it, theres a very convoluted plot and a lot of ongoing jokes, definitely worth a watch if you havent already seen it (im gonna presume you havent) and found this funny
You should definitely here him sing "creep" next, it's on of his best, and he has sang many other song too. He is going through this because he found out that he isn't capable of loving because his father can't. Aaaand he was singing with the mother because she is apparently some famous singer. And Lucifer always makes his current issue's and situations project and be similar to the case.
Honestly lucifer is a top 10 all time show for me. There is an insane amount of character development in this series. Especially around lucifer and him learning to accept himself for who he is not who he thinks others want him to be. It's a really powerful and impactful journey. I can't recommend it enough. I definitely think you should give watching it from the start a shot. Lucifer is far me intimidating at the start, and he's intimidating at the end as well, just in a different way. You caught him in the middle of a crisis between who he wants to be, what the world wants him to be, what his father wants while intruding on his already complicated relationship with the detective. He's an understandable wreck lol
This is season 5. And Lucifer has been in therapy for years now so he’s developed quite a lot of humanity that he didn’t have in the beginning. And a lot of characters close to Lucifer have found out the truth.
jesus is the central figure in christianity, but one of the creators of the lucifer comics is jewish, so I don't think jesus was ever an intended character.
Which is odd because Jesus is mentioned/referenced in the show so he clearly does exist in some form but who knows if HE is just a myth or like an adopted kid by God in this universe (they never explain it)
@@TokuNorth in the show lucifer and god and all that is a part of one universe, as mentioned in crisis on infinite earths lucifer knows about the multiverse and I’m guessing he specifically chose earth 666 so Jesus is prob just on a different earth or in heaven
@@goulitry in the comics I don't think jesus exists. In the show he is mentioned because he is an important mythical figure but he either is just a myth or simply god in a mortal form and since his "death" he reunited with his celestial form
So, the whole show is about how Lucifer isn't actually bad. He ruled hell but as not as evil. As someone who punished evil. He became the scape goat for the entire world basically. People expect him to be scary and bad but he's not who people think, even though he still sees himself that way. After centuries of humanity blaming him for every bad thing that's ever happened, he started to blame himself. He's a complicated guy. But also it's fairly simple. He's got daddy issues for sure but his biggest struggle is probably his self hatred. As a die hard Lucifer fan, I'm not even mad about your opinions on it because I'm sure it's quite crazy/hard to follow watching one episode in a later season. It makes a lot more sense and is so good if you watch it from the start. But I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea
I think it’s hard to come into this episode without watching the rest of the show. There’s 5 seasons of character development and context that you missed out on. In this show, Lucifer is never portrayed as “evil”, although he was darker in earlier seasons. Also, if you want to see a truly amazing number from this show, look up Bridge Over Troubled Water.
State Farm's marketing is so good that when Hannah hears the Allstate guy, she thinks of State Farm and not Allstate lol I get the best laughs from you, Hannah, Thank you!
You really need to check out the whole series to get a proper idea of who everyone is, it's SUCH a good show and a great take on the character of Lucifer/Satan. Also, Lesley-Ann Brandt (Maze) who sings Bad To The Bone in this episode did an AMAZING version of Wonderwall elsewhere in the series
This. Lucifer is one of the shows that sounds ridiculous and has no business being as good as it is (especially for the first three seasons). But to come to the conclusion that it's being too heavy is especially funny considering the subject matter. This is a modern day Paradise Lost where the authors are even going to try to pretend that the heavenly are more interesting than the demonic. But you are looking at what is effectively the end of the show. They've spent years building up various relationships and characters to get to this point. Which is why Lucifer acts like an overly hurt child in this episode. He is just like any person whose development was arrested by the abandonment of both parents. He's lashing out. Much like the Buffy musical episode, it is hard to see just how the episode is actually doing a great job (the opening number excepted) of weaving together a LOT of threads that have been in play for a long time if you don't know the backstory.
Also there are a bunch of great musical moments with him throughout the series…. My favorites being Creep, Luck be a Lady and a piano solo of the Unforgiven ….
I love how she calls him Lucy probably without knowing his brother calls him that. Also, I would love to see her react to Lucifer's other songs through the show.
Tom Ellis's mum is a vocal coach, if I remember correctly. And Tom studied music in the Royal Scotttish Academy (or whatever its name is nowadays). He has some musical training, so no wonder he can sing so beutifully.
It's really weird to me to just jump into a show 5 seasons in and judge the little you've seen. This is an amazing show and you should give it a try. Lucifer in this show was never really evil, but he was quite different in the beginning. Love and therapy changed him basically.
Same statment here. It's a slow burn, but the philosophy of the show fascinating. Also, no. The show does not take itself seriously. Much like how no one takes Lucifer seriously at the very beginning. He has sinister vibes at the beginning, but hes never truly scary. That's sort of the point of the show.
There was hardly any substance to her technical reactions too, which is the only reason this would have been interesting. It was almost an afterthought, which is too bad because a good technical reaction can be really positively engaging. Instead, she just spent most of the video mocking the show.
As a quick overview of the show The show follows Lucifer, suit man, who got board in hell and came to earth, became a cop, and fell in love with a human. He solves crime while dealing with his daddy and family issues. In the specific episode, God has come down to Earth, after Lucifer’s twin brother the arch angel Michael tried to kill Lucifer and their other brother Amenadiel. Now God is losing control of his powers and everyone is singing. 9/10 show. Loved it. And now the questions The people on the field, they are witnesses being questioned by cops. Everyone singing wasn’t supposed to sound amazing. It was supposed to sound like these characters, who aren’t all amazing singers, were singing, not like professional good singers Jesus is not in the show Lucifer didn’t go soft, in the show he was never really evil. Instead he was painted as an evil being and suffers with his identity because he is told he is evil and everyone thinks he is but he isn’t God had a wife who was eventually sent to hell. She broke out and ended up in a human body. After she left the body of Charlotte, Charlotte survived and she and Dan developed a relationship, before Charlotte was killed
It's honestly a good show... like the wing thing... if I remember correctly, in that episode when he was around Chloe he wasn't invincible (the comment he made about being vulnerable) so when he wrapped her with his wings he was feeling it all. But, he's not meant to be all scary. The show is meant to humanize (though in the end deify) him. He got tired of being all scary and basically just wanted to live a life of hedonism. Also, you should look up Tom Ellis (Lucifer) singing. He's got an amazing voice.
this musical episode was fun and such, but i am still in LOVE with the I Will Survive performance from this show and it’ll like Forever be my favourite
Yeah this whole episode was meant to be a goof, you really should check out more of the musical numbers from the show's run, Tom Ellis is such a good singer. Also, that over-bearing mother is none other than DEBBIE GIBSON!!!! I adored her when I was growing up...
lucifer is always singing at his club. also everyone talks about this musical episode but never the one in season 3, i loved that one! also i literally can,t remember what happenes with god's powers, he,s just getting old and he ends up retiring to be with his wife in her universe, leaving it to his children to decide who will be the next god, it's a wild show i love it
I will say, don't write this show off just by this musical episode. At least check out the pilot episode, it does a much better job at representing the series😊
Honestly, you just have to watch it to get it. Lucifer had a complex story and this is why all of the characters look like they have been in a messy situation when you watch random late episodes. I am happy to see non-fans exploring even small parts of the series.
I am having one of those days too, Hannah. It's one of those "I haven't been trained on this yet my work is asking me to do it" kind of days but watching your video made it a little better
The thing is that for most people Lucifer is suposed to be a monster and all scary but that's the purpose of the show, telling us that Lucifer is just a fallen angel and off course he has a lot of negative things but he isn't a monster. I trully recommend watching the whole show, it's totally worth it.
going into this I was just thinking that hannah needs to be careful with what she says cause this is the show whose fandom was so persistent that they got netflix to pick it up after it was originally cancelled after three seasons😭
26:46 fun fact : the little girl’s father is the detective that slept with god’s wife and him and Chloe ( the woman sing in the scene ) used to be together but now she with Lucifer
Not a full episode, but you should consider reacting to the musical scene "Future Favorite" from DC's Legends of Tomorrow episode "Speakeasy Does It." Lots of Fosse / Chicago / 1920s jazz vibes. HIGHLY recommend.
I watch a number of "Vocal coach reacts" videos, and this definitely wins the award for the most cynical, adolescent and mean spirited. There's a tiny bit of actual vocal critique, but the vast majority of time was spent making teen cringe insults about characters, attributes and plot elements she is not only completely ignorant of, but also not interested in learning about other than to mock them. Is the idea somehow that being a complete asshole will draw people in to watch the fireworks? Or perhaps she's aiming at cynics whose salve for being useless is insulting others? In any case, while she may be aiming to be the next Dorothy Parker, she comes off more like Beavis and Butthead.

This show is not based on religion directly. It is based on the DC Comics Lucifer, which takes inspiration from religion when it comes to characters and such. But the stories are pretty much just like any Batman story, made up for the comic it is in. It is the same as with Thor on Marvels side. Thor in Norse mythology is very different such as Loki and Odin being brothers and not Thor and Loki. (among many many other things)

@@thisisaperson660 go watch it
Love the side bar stating that you don't necessarily need to heal a toxic relationship with a parent. Not said often enough. Go girl.
Hannah commenting on Linda projecting being a bad therapist.
Me remembering the first season (spoiler) when she is sleeping with Lucifer in trade for providing therapy.
In her defense, that was when he still had the creepy superpower where all women wanted to have sex with him.
But she also stopped
I mean shes the only one
The first season was rough
To be fair he did use his magic charm on her.
Or, intentionally. Lucifer (the show) does not take itself seriously.
thats the joke, the shows primarily a comedy, at least by the later seasons, its 100% intentional and it really doesnt take its self seriously, great show, but none of it really makes sense without watching everything thats come before it, theres a very convoluted plot and a lot of ongoing jokes, definitely worth a watch if you havent already seen it (im gonna presume you havent) and found this funny
It was in fact very intentional.
"If you're gonna bring G-d into it, you gotta bring Jesus into it."
Some people are JEWISH, Hannah
ngl this made me laugh on the inside- but very true
Okay, this made me crack up. (And it’s very true). Tho they do have Eve and Adam and Cain so…(the former and latter being prevalent characters).
@@Miyanoai14 Oh, definitely
But we don't really view Jesus as a key character 😁😁😁
They do mention him once or twice.
@@joyousjae3644 yeah, but as a human who messed up.
“He’s a bougie bitch” I never realize how much I needed to hear someone say that about Lucifer 😭
The picture is supposed to have been drawn by Trixie(Det. Deckers daughter), and it's a picture of Trixie and Lucifer(The Devil).
You have to react to Zoey’s extraordinary playlist.
YES! I 100% agree
I've suggested this before and I wish she would.
I just started watching it and yes!
YES PLEASE!
Sí!! 😁
Which is odd because Jesus is mentioned/referenced in the show so he clearly does exist in some form
but who knows if HE is just a myth or like an adopted kid by God in this universe (they never explain it)
@@TokuNorth in the show lucifer and god and all that is a part of one universe, as mentioned in crisis on infinite earths lucifer knows about the multiverse and I’m guessing he specifically chose earth 666 so Jesus is prob just on a different earth or in heaven
But I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea
hannah really said: "i have coffee so all my problems are now gone" and i agree
I think it’s hard to come into this episode without watching the rest of the show. There’s 5 seasons of character development and context that you missed out on. In this show, Lucifer is never portrayed as “evil”, although he was darker in earlier seasons.
Also, if you want to see a truly amazing number from this show, look up Bridge Over Troubled Water.
Precisely!
State Farm's marketing is so good that when Hannah hears the Allstate guy, she thinks of State Farm and not Allstate lol
I get the best laughs from you, Hannah, Thank you!
The duet between Lucifer and his daughter in the final season is pretty spectacular
Dan's song [In the Afterlife] is actually titled HELL by The Squirrel Nut Zippers.
The show is actually really good if you watch from the beginning, so much character development and you will understand what is going on a lot better.
“Crime solving devil, it makes sense, don’t overthink it”
I love how she calls him Lucy probably without knowing his brother calls him that.
Ngl it was a little infuriating watching her judge it so harshly
There was hardly any substance to her technical reactions too, which is the only reason this would have been interesting. It was almost an afterthought, which is too bad because a good technical reaction can be really positively engaging. Instead, she just spent most of the video mocking the show.
Watch it from the beginning. Best show ever. You will laugh and cry and love all the characters.
As a quick overview of the show
The show follows Lucifer, suit man, who got board in hell and came to earth, became a cop, and fell in love with a human. He solves crime while dealing with his daddy and family issues. In the specific episode, God has come down to Earth, after Lucifer’s twin brother the arch angel Michael tried to kill Lucifer and their other brother Amenadiel. Now God is losing control of his powers and everyone is singing. 9/10 show. Loved it.
And now the questions
The people on the field, they are witnesses being questioned by cops.
Everyone singing wasn’t supposed to sound amazing. It was supposed to sound like these characters, who aren’t all amazing singers, were singing, not like professional good singers
Jesus is not in the show
Lucifer didn’t go soft, in the show he was never really evil. Instead he was painted as an evil being and suffers with his identity because he is told he is evil and everyone thinks he is but he isn’t
God had a wife who was eventually sent to hell. She broke out and ended up in a human body. After she left the body of Charlotte, Charlotte survived and she and Dan developed a relationship, before Charlotte was killed
Suit man 😂😂
Side note on you advert. Loki was the norse God that came up with flyting. Literally the advent of battle rap
He's got an amazing voice.
remember that this isnt an animated disney movie so its pretty good for people who arent singers/dancers
i'm so glad you're reacting to this episode, it was incredible when it came out
Tom Ellis (Lucifer) is actually Welsh, so yes his English accent is fake, but he does actually have a British accent
That moment when he throws his wings around her was a really good one. I suggest watching the episode.
this musical episode was fun and such, but i am still in LOVE with the I Will Survive performance from this show and it’ll like Forever be my favourite
Yeah this whole episode was meant to be a goof, you really should check out more of the musical numbers from the show's run, Tom Ellis is such a good singer.
Also, that over-bearing mother is none other than DEBBIE GIBSON!!!! I adored her when I was growing up...
her being stunned from 29:44 through 30:00 is just hilarious
It's interesting seeing her reaction versus Songs From A Suitcase
lucifer is always singing at his club. also everyone talks about this musical episode but never the one in season 3, i loved that one!
also i literally can,t remember what happenes with god's powers, he,s just getting old and he ends up retiring to be with his wife in her universe, leaving it to his children to decide who will be the next god, it's a wild show i love it
He was being gaslit by Michael
@@hildedejong9618 yes i remember now
@@rebeccanorborg3034 the gaslighting was in season 5
Definitely do "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" with Lucifer and Rory. It's absolutely beautiful and probably the best performance he's made.
Ever since i watched this episode i said "i hope hannah does a video to this" and here it is! Super excited 😆
The emotions in this episode were sumn else
I was just thinking about how great the ending for the series was so this was right on time!
going into this I was just thinking that hannah needs to be careful with what she says cause this is the show whose fandom was so persistent that they got netflix to pick it up after it was originally cancelled after three seasons😭
You should react to other songs from Lucifer. Especially Bridge over troubled water, which Lucifer sings with Rory(his daughter).
His WHAT NOW

His daughter with Chloe from the future. She shows up in the final season.
This makes me really want a reaction to the musical episode in Supernatural. Love your videos! I recently started watching them and am binging 😊
Hannah, please react to All too well short film by Taylor Swift
She also has a snl performance of that which you can react to
25:00 lmao i laugh so much when amenadiel just popped in from the side and started singing along lmaooo
26:46 fun fact : the little girl’s father is the detective that slept with god’s wife and him and Chloe ( the woman sing in the scene ) used to be together but now she with Lucifer
none:
hannah: laughing at the most dramatic and sad scenes in Lucifer
😢😆
1) Yes, your adhd may be getting more prevalent
2) I love your reactions because you are not afraid to just tell it as it is.
3) I love love the tattoos
4) the guy in the blue outfit (who smacked Lucifiers crotch) goes to my church! He is an absolutely FANTASTIC singer- Drew Powell 😊
5) I think I love your videos most because my adhd jives similarly.
I said the same thing about the tattoos. I didn’t know about them until this video.
actual video starts at 3:53 for anyone wondering
Please react to some more Lucifer! Some recommendations: Bridge Over Troubled Water, Wonderwall, I Will Survive...
Man…when they sang bridge over troubled water. I like to think that was one of the best in the series!
Right after she went to get the package, I literally got a state farm ad. I'm dying😂😂
The "In the afterlife" song that Dan sang was Hell by the Squirrel Nut Zippers
It's an old song
Can't believe you didn't love this. Lucifer is my favorite show
You need to react to more Lucifer Musical Numbers like Wicked Game, Creep and definitely react to Over Troubled Water
Wicked game was in this episode
Does anyone else think that Hannah should watch lucifer or is it just me
Lucifer has plenty of dark moments trust me
This show is so wonderful also the elevator doors is a running joke through out the show like people not knocking because it's an elevator or like in moments that need a slamming door
"yet again, i am asking, 'is this satan?'" is begging to be a reaction gif lmao
Alternate title: Hannah roasting Lucifer for half an hour straight
She spent most the time mocking it & making jokes than actually reacting to the songs
Dan’s song was my favorite, it was stuck in my head for 3 weeks😂
i finished the last season of Lucifer a month ago and i still want more, so here i am :)
YOU SHOULD REACT TO THE MAIN PEOPLE OF THE HARRY POTTER CAST SINGING LIKE WHEN DANIEL SANG AND DANCED LIKE A stripper
It's from miracle workers season 3
Love that Hannah shows up randomly in s5 and just thinks there is any chance she can really understand the larger picture of this show.
Klaus IS more sinister than Lucifer. Lucifer isn't evil in this show. Tom Ellis is Welsh so British isn't his natural accent but he does it a lot.
I’m pretty sure he was raised in England, so his accent actually is English, even though he was born in Wales and his heritage is Welsh.
@@ThePoetOrTheMuse Oh, I didn't know that. Cool.
Wales is also in Britain. So he is British.
@@hattief3902 but isn’t the accent is different than England?
This show is not based on religion directly. It is based on the DC Comics Lucifer, which takes inspiration from religion when it comes to characters and such. But the stories are pretty much just like any Batman story, made up for the comic it is in.
It is the same as with Thor on Marvels side. Thor in Norse mythology is very different such as Loki and Odin being brothers and not Thor and Loki. (among many many other things)
Lucifer was definitely always more of a goober than scary. Haha. Also, you should react to him singing "Creep" on the show as he goes into an emotional spiral. It's excellent!
