Fr and too many people when they mention a vice admiral they say they are strong like grap, but he is a bad example, if every vice admiral was like garp, RIP the yonkou🤣
They dumped a lot of information about current storyline this early in the series. We discovered the New World, the Yonkou (Four emperors),Luffy's lineage as well as the revolutionary's army existence and even Vegapunk's name was dropped. These things are super relevant even to this day.

@Mo a Uh have you skipped Punk Hazard? Vegapunk isn't the only genius scientist. Caesar managed to create fake devil fruits too although not perfect. And we know perfectly how seastone works. It's difficult and really expensive to make and it contains the power of the sea. Sea Kings don't see the ship because the ship is camouflaged by that power and DF users are obviously weakened by it.
@Mo a They're obviously going to expand on Vegapunk, especially with the new developments in the more recent chapters. The significance of SSG, SMILE, SAD, Pacifista, Oda isn't the type of person to introduce something so interesting and not expand on it and you know that.

I am not sure its in the anime but in the manga cover arc for Coby you see Garp fall asleep when Axe Hand Morgan attacks him.
Also serious respect for Coby and Helmeppo. Luffy and Zoro have been training hard since they were kids, so 10+ years. Coby and Helmeppo have come a long way in a couple of months, given thats how long the Strawhats have been adventuring.
It was also in the anime that Garp fell asleep and got hit by Morgan
Shanks stayed at luffys island for like a year I think. The last time luffy saw him was when he got the straw hat. I think that’s stated in the first chapter but correct me if I’m wrong. Also in the east blue they don’t use log poses because compasses work so shanks didn’t have to wait for it to set

One idea that does periodically come up is the power of 'Inherited Will'. And as a far as the mystery of the D, the official name of that mystery (First revealed by Dr. Kureha at the end of the Drum Island story) is The Will of D.
Also about your favorite part, One piece is a moving living world, while we watch the straw hat adventures, the world around them is consistently developing, we see glimpses of it at the end of some of the arcs, it's mind blowing how epic it is.

the log pose wouldn't have been a thing back on the island luffy grew up on, they're only used in the grand line, luffy grew up in east blue. so shanks stayed on that island long enough for luffy to grow to like him but we dont know why he was there in the first place, though im pretty sure he was only there for like a month or so.
