A small detail with the end of the Water 7 arc:
When Robin joined the crew, she refers everyone with their title or job, like "Captain" for Luffy, "Doctor" for Chopper and "Navigator" for Nami
because she distanced herself from the others. With her background story it's understandable, eg. her relationship with Crocodile.
But since the end of Water 7 Robin names every strawhat member by their name because she trust them completely.
It's a little details but wholesome one :D
And she will call everyone just the way Luffy does, for example in this arc lucci would have been called pigeon by Robin :P

Jack is like a One Piece character sometimes. He's so attentive to the details that he makes jokes about Luffy being in the barrel, remembers Garp's name, his ship, and that Dragon isn't liked by the world government. Remembers Mariejoa even. But also oblivious sometimes that he still doesn't realize Oda has been setting up Franky to be the one to join. Lol he's going to be SO MAD he didn't see that coming
To be fair, I was holding out hope that Paulie would join until the last moment, since he also had some bonding with the crew and I wasn't a fan of Franky's everything. He grew on me eventually, but it was a hard sell and my bias against him just... made me ignore him as a candidate. It was hard to get over what he and his family did to Usopp, as well as his design aesthetic (took me forever to get past that, especially after TS. IDK, I never thought of him as cool.)
Honestly, I started warming to him when he took more of a big brother role and having seen him with the kids in PH. At that point I was finally like "Okay, fine, you win Oda. I like Franky now. I'm not happy about it, but he's a darling so fuck you, I'll stan him too." XDDD

That's crazy.. as we know ace is not actually part of Luffy's family. So oda foreshadowed it before that ace was not Luffy's real brother 😮

The manga goes into what happens to CP9 immediately after Enies Lobby, but not in the main story itself. You've probably heard by now that the manga has side-stories covered in the manga using the covers of each chapter. By this time of the story, the manga has covered:
* Buggy after his fight with Luffy (covered by the anime, led up to Loguetown)
* Koby and Helmeppo meeting Garp (covered by the anime)
* Jango the hypnotist meeting Fullbody the Marine we met at Baratie (why they show up together in post-Alabasta)
* Hachi the ocotpus fishman from Arlong's crew escaping jail and running around on the seafloor and starting an overseas takoyaki stand
* Wapol regaining wealth and prestige by using his powers to make toys, in the process discovering a new alloy that's named Wapometal, and eventually marrying Miss Universe
* Ace following leads on Blackbeard's current location.
* Gedtasu, the sky priest Chopper fought, falling to the Blue Sea and helping start a hot springs resort near Alabasta
* Miss Golden Week from Little Garden reuniting the members of Baroque Works, in which everyone but Crocodile and Misters 1-3 escape jail and the rest start a cafe.
* A check in on the locations and everyone the Straw Hats have met up to this point.
And the cover story at the time post-Enies Lobby in the manga is following Eneru's time on the moon. Not considering any of that spoilers since it's not covered in the anime and already past/in-progress in the manga at the point you're currently at. Since you asked, CP9's story focuses on Blueno helping CP9 escape Enies Lobby's destruction with his door powers and the less banged up helping make money for the others' doctor bills, and threatening Spandam when he tries to scapegoat them for the disaster.
It would be way better if they used all the cover mini stories as filler material instead of padding the episodes to oblivion.

I think the reason we only see three of the Four Emperors in that image is because I think Oda hadn't worked out who the fourth Emperor would be yet, or at least hasn't settled on their design. There's a lot of stuff Oda has said that he had planned to be part of the main series, but ended up either using for the movies instead or utilizing much later in the story. And I think I think one of the movie villains was actually intended to be the fourth Emperor originally, but for whatever reason, Oda shifted his plans plans.
Maybe he had yet to settle between S****, X**** and K****. All powerhouses of the same level as Garp, Whitebeard and co.
If you look closely, the fourth face is behind garp. In the manga all four faces are clearly visible so I don't know why the anime did it this way.

Yeah the fourth face is in the bottom right - behind Garp. I think they wanted the zoom out effect and kinda messed it up, hiding the fourth face a bit too much.

This is probably my favorite lore drop of the series so far. You learn how insane Luffy’s family is: The hero of the Marines as Grandpa, Leader of the Revolutionary army and "the worlds most heinous criminal" as Dad, and the future pirate king as son.
You also find out about the Yonko (Four Emperors) and just how big of a deal Shanks and Whitebeard are as a result. They make up 2 of the 4 pirate crews so strong that the navy has partnered with the 7 warlords to combat them. AKA the real big dogs of the pirate world.
All amazing lore drops aside, we are STILL waiting for Jack to realize Franky’s the one who’s gonna join crew lol 😭😂

He’s the one joining for sure!!”
I can’t wait to see his reaction when the Franky family asks the straw hats to take Franky with them lol! It’s gonna be amazing, I want to hear how loud he’s gonna yell lol

For real, I'm surprised he's still hanging onto Paulie, when Franky was the one to go with them to the end of Enies Lobby, and is now building a ship for them. He's also much bigger of a personality, and while I like Paulie, I feel like he would get overshadowed in the crew.
@@KaregoAt IDK, he has his own quirks, like getting so flustered around women, which could be played with him vs Sanji and he and Zoro already bonded a bit too, so he could have fit. TBH it took me a long, long time to come to like Franky - finally caved during his interactions with the kids in PH. I'd started to like him during S but the change after TS made me dislike him. As a woman I guess I just don't get the hype behind robots. XDDD

As for the whole revelation of Luffy's Grandfather and Father, that realy knocked me of my chair. Oda wrote it so well we didn't even see it coming.
The reason Ace wasn't shown is because they are focusing on the reveal of Luffy's connection to Dragon and Garp. I am sure when Ace told the Whitebeard pirates about his relationship to Dragon and Garp they had the same reaction.

It's crazy how different mine & Jack's reaction is for instance when usopp said we still have one more friend I instantly knew it was going to be the going merry but when we saw Garp I had completely forgot about him and Koby and I didn't realize it till much later in the episode.

Well, he never wanted to be a pirate, his dream was to be in the navy. Koby always wanted to joined the navy, but he was captured by a pirate. Luffy helped him, gave him a push to go for his dream

Garp is admiral level strength. He actually has been offered to be an admiral many times but he doesn't want to. Because admirals have to do a lot more paperwork and are kept on a much tighter leash by the world government. They also are directly answerable to the Celestial dragons. Ironically vice-admirals have a lot more autonomy than admirals do.
