So my reasons for supporting the orig. post might not hold up.
Shanks: Death (he 1shots people) Big Mom: Famine (she always hungry) Kaido: War (this one speaks for itself) Whitebeard: Conquest (He was the man closest to one piece and controlled the most territory) Blackbeard replaces Whitebeard as Conquest which fits since he wants to take over the world. Luffy replacing kaido as war kinda fits too since he will start the final war and loves to fight Buggy dont fit i cannot even lie but thats kinda the point of him being a yonko The 7 deadly warlords Mihawk: Pride (bro refuses to even fight shanks after he lost his arm and uses 0 named attacks, also baratie incident) Hancock: Lust (she horny for luffy and uses the love fruit which works on people who lust for her) Moria: Sloth (bro uses shadow puppets to fight and barely moves) Doflamingo: Envy (his driving motivation is that he is mad he didnt get to be a celestial dragon) Crocodile: Greed (he wants the ancient weapon and to rule alabasta) Kuma: Wrath (he was initially introduced as a tyrant so i think this fits) Jinbe: Gluttony (i dont really got a good one for this but hes kinda round lol)
there's one more wrench in this theory: during the chapter where we learn about the gomu gomu no mi being a mythical zoan, we see Ju Peter asking the other gorosei about why the government hid the name of the fruit, implying that he's joined the gorosei more recently, despite his scar... evidenced also by his younger appearance compared to the rest
Always a treat to see a new video release from you. I love following along with your logic, and video essays like this really help appreciate the source material all that much more.
i am just speechless. You left no room for me to put a word in. What a Spotless Theory I am very very thrilled and looking forward to see it all come true at some point. Fantastic Job
What I like the most out of this theory is this kinda changes the perspective of the government. For so long we thought the ancient kingdom wielded the most power and used it irresponsibly, but here we see the 20 kings attempt to wield power far outside their own control and are arguably more irresponsible than the ancient kingdom (depending on how the sea levels were raised). My my, how the tables have turned! And I can’t wait for Elbaf because I think it’ll be a Skypiea parallel. Making Egghead and subsequently Elbaf afterwards an exploration into and discussion of the battle between science & religion. Logic vs. Faith, or Heart over reason, one of the main core principles of the show. Meaning that the government or 20 kings will likely be painted as sympathetic in the ancient war. They only wanted that power over reasons of heart, for their ideas of the honest betterment of the world. But once they let the devil, knowledge (reason,) take over, knowledge has its own ideas of right and wrong, what’s good and bad. What’s justice and what’s freedom, and who’s painted good versus who’s painted evil. Freedom/Faith becomes chaos, and control/reason becomes safety. The 20 kings, ironically in their quest for knowledge just like Ohara’s scholars, learned too much.
At the end of the day, the 20 kings were weak men who after exhausting their options, took a deal with satan to retain their power, and are therefore slaves to a force of evil even more powerful than it.
i like this theory a lot except for the speculation that the gorosei were some of the Kings that fought the ancient kingdom, Even the gorosei had only heard tales of joyboy rather then seeing him in action and speak of him as if he was a legend they never encountered, and i doubt that would be the case if he fought them
yea chapter 1044 is the biggest obstacle for that part of the theory, i should have considered it more. I think there's still room for them to have been around but not fully understand what joyboy's power was, which is why the fruit has been able to elude them for so long. if they understood how devil fruits work, they wouldn't have vegapunk researching them - which leads me to believe joyboy's power is just as mysterious to them as their powers are mysterious to us
They probably never got even close to see him, remember this is a country as advanced as the modern day USA and more, while they are revolutionary war era countries at best. Haki may be a equalizer for them to not immediately perish at the sight of the tanks but overall they are not fighting the top leaders of the great country.
Mentioning the allusion to IC XC NIKA is everything I love about this channel. Profound. As a Christian, I saw the name “NIKA” and knew immediately of the parallel. In the Bible, Jesus also talks about how the sinless will be made white as snow. Is it any coincidence that Luffy is most “free” when he is in that form? Free of limits and “sin” in other words, a perfect child of God?
On top of that, take a look at the One Piece world map. It looks like that cross. The lines of the cross being the red line and grand line. Luffy is from the East Blue which is in the upper right corner on the world map, exactly where the cross would spell out "Christ"
Check out Revelations 1:14-15's description of Jesus Christ physically: [14] His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; [15] And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
@@benl.4577Absolutely! To add to that, when he ascended up the Mount of Transfiguration: Matthew 17:2 “And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.”
Words fail to describe how amazing how are, man. The way you reel me in with these theories is unreal I was thinking I would watch half the video now and see the rest on lunch tomorrow and here I am with eyes glued until the end. Good work dude!
I have been saying for months that Nika is clearly a reference to the Greek verb νικάω (nikao) which we see rendered as Νικα (Nika) which means "he conquers." Glad somebody finally picked this up.
How do you rationalize the the gorosei in 1044 mentioning that the awakening of the Nila fruit was “a legend even to us” which basically states no gorosei was present in the void century war, otherwise they would remember Joy Boy.
yea someone pointed this out to me on twitter just recently, it's a good point that i didn't pay enough attention to admittedly. the only way i can rationalize it is that the origin of the fruit was even before their time, and after joyboy died they didn't know what happened to it. after all they said it's been "eluding them" for centuries. after a long enough time with no sign of it, it maybe passed into legend
I think this chapter has hints as to who was there in the void century, Jupiter refers to "the world gov" as if he wasn't part of it, so he might have been a newer member (he also reacts differently about Garling becoming an elder probably because the previous elder to Jupiter got killed too), Warcury is the one that makes the comment about the DF not awakening for 800 years. Saturn and Mars were alive at least 200years ago since mars also recognises Emeth.
I'm not huge into one piece but I regularly watch your videos to get better ideas for the editing and pacing of my own content (completely unrelated to one piece or manga) because everything is just so professional and clean. Always been blown away by your openings but your ability to keep a solid pace despite dropping massive amounts of information, and doing so in digestible ways, is head and shoulders above the vast majority of your tube content creators. Keep up the great work man!!
Probably misremembering but wasn't there also a thing of his image being used for far-right material? Would be a pretty meta joke fitting for figarland lol
I believe Blackbeard either can or will one day be able to swim, because the real Blackbeard had a legend where after he was beheaded and thrown overboard, he swam around his ship three times before finally sinking.
One thought that makes sense is that Ju Peter was clearly worried with Jay Garcia's replacement because he fears that he'll be replaced too. After all, he's the Godhead of Agriculture and the Holy Land is crumbling to pieces due to the starving situation.
Fact: Garling is often associated with the moon because of his hair but in reality it's all a matter of perspective because if we look at Garling from the side his hair looks like a half moon while if we look at him from the front his hair looks like a four-pointed star
both are associated with the world govt/ imu… plus the cover stories with enel showed that the moon itself has beings and they had lost some kind of war.
Regarding the Gorosei being the original kings, when Nika awakened didnt the Gorosei say that there were "previous" members of Gorosei that went after the fruit and couldnt get it? My memory is fuzzy.
I don't think that the gorosei are original kings, at least not all of them. Saturn didn't know what Emet was when he discovered it 200 years ago, and was clearly quite amazed by the level of technology that Emet was made up of. This likely means Saturn wasn't fully aware of the technology that the ancient kingdom had and therefore was likely born after the void century.
I don't usually watch theory videos about One Piece but I watched this one on a whim and the quality is out standing. Every point was clear and it all made sense
It would make sense. When Garling introduced himself as One of the gorosei, Ju Peter was sweating profusely. Maybe he's afraid of Garling, who might discover who he really is
Yoooo, this theory is insane! I love the callback to brook's timeskip arc, it always felt strangely out of place for me, but I could never put my finger on why until now. Small gripes, I just feel like its too soon to refer to imu as 'him' and I really don't want this theory to age poorly! 'They' and 'them' just feel so much more appropriate at this point in the story, we don't know anything about their characteristics after all.
The only thing i don't agree with is that the elders are from the void century. When saturn was killed, while asking for mercy to imu-sama, sounded surprised with joyboy's power, as if he had never experienced it directly. Also, he let the scientists fron 200 years ago study Emeth, as if he didn't knew he was not just a robot but actualy a scentient being and joyboy's friend. They are old, sure, but probably not original kings

Maybe I missed it but I thought you were gonna add that devil fruits likely only reincarnate through apples, as the apple imagery is plentiful throughout the manga. We've seen the axolotl fruit reform thru an apple and coincidentally Vegapunk 's antenna is an apple as well. These are part of an even bigger Eve tree/Imu theory I've been working on a while
It seems that everyone have forgotten about the fact that prior the timeskip as Kuma separated the crew, Brook ended up with the “satanist” trying to summon the devil. I always thought that whatever circle they used back then , resembled those of the Gorosei when they got to egghead. You’re the first one finally mentioning it! Thank you !

The one piece is a one piece swimsuit that was owned by Nerona Imu the be one who couldn’t swim. In a world where they were shined for their demonic features, they found friendship with Joyboy. The live between them was strong till once from aside the waters, Joyboy laughed. The swimsuit to him looked quite funny, but to Imu this laugh was confirmation. That Joyboy only saw them as a joke. From that day on the solem distrust grew to hate. It slowly spread till it bore fruit, literally that once the starved got there hands on became servants to the strength. Servants of Imu.
luffy is hanuman, the monkey god there is more than enough proof, he even uses the bajrang gun attack. hanuman's brother is agni, the fire god and hanuman's father is pavan, the wind god. luffy will eat the mother flame. hanuman also burns the kingdom of lanka, with his tail so luffy will burn fishman island, and maybe mary geoise. his df will combine with bonney's and they will combine and they will go back in time and meet the original joyoboy. the poneglyph where joyoboy apologizes is actually luffy saying sorry to the original joyboy. the original joyboy's name is something like dyras i am not sure. the books of ohara are in elbaph and vegapunk will join the revolutionary army. blackbeard's dark fruit is the king of hell. the ancient ship crashed and caused a great flood. imu is joyboy's elder brother and joyoboy has an eyepatch
13:21 Can I just mention that this Cross also looks like the One Piece world map? The lines of the cross being the red line and the grand line, dividing the four seas. Luffy comes from the East Blue which positioned on this cross would be "Christ" ... god damn this is a rabbit hole
Shout out to you, Hidden. Your videos are some of the best OP videos on the Internet, and provide some of the most compelling theories I've seen. As a writer myself, I've found plenty of inspiration for my own works in your videos, and I wanted to thank you personally for that.
I think the reason most of the Gorosei are old is that it gives Imu more control. Imu picks them when they’re old, grants them immortality, and then they HAVE to be loyal else Imu take their powers away. Doesn’t work with Peter, but maybe he had an illness or something.
I think it is because you had more time to achieve more things. Figarland Garling is without a doubt the one with the strongest resume. It is like the upper management of companies. Moreover, I think IMU it's a child, so them being old makes more contrast
The devil does also have a connection to celestial bodies, Lucifer Morningstar. Although that has a connection to the planet Venus. And with the dawn too. Man these videos really gets me thinking
I believe Garling also symbolizes the ajudicatior from the John Wick franchise. As he seems to be the only one. Besides "The Elder" or Imu, who has the right to judge the high table or Gorosei in this case.
Never commented on any youtube videos before but I just had to say how amazing you have explained the truth about all of the influences in this amazing story!
This video was extremely well made, the work and thought process that was poured into this video is insanely enjoyable. Thank you truly, keep up the amazing work, you def got a new subscriber and very excited to binge your videos God bless you!
So much stuff to comment on in this, amazing work as always! First of all, I do think the Gorosei we know have existed from practically the start of the World Government, but not from the beginning of the war, because they mentioned the Nika fruit being a myth even to them. They most certainly fought in the war, but I think they never faced Joyboy himself. Either that or the myth thing was hyperbole because it's been centuries. As you said, the seven deadly sins and four horsemen theories don't really have much ground to stand on, but I do like them. Kinda interested in writing up a Four Horsemen one myself, some funny thoughts I had after you mentioned it. The five demons aiding Lucifer thing is something I never thought of, and some of the ones in those five fit the things the Five Elders are connected to. Mammon is associated with greed, and there is a Warrior God of Finance, Moloch is often demonized as a god associated with child sacrifice and the suffering of parents and children, and he's a bull-headed god, resembling Saturn. Beelzebub is associated with locusts and thus famine, and there is a Warrior God of Agriculture. The remaining two are a bit more of a stretch, but there's some association with justice at least.
You're cooking as always, only wrench in the 5 kings theory in my opinion, is that the gorosei don't seem to actually have first hand experience with the Human-Human Fruit Mythical Type: Model Nika. They talk of it as if they've only been told about the fruit, and didn't fight Joyboy first hand. This could also be Oda exposition dumping haphazardly, excellent theory otherwise completely watertight
I'd really like for Oda to play with the question, "What is the devil?" After all, the power of Nika is granted through a devil fruit, and we see in Skypiea that God is a title given to whoever wields power. Many cultures and philosophies view the devil in different ways. Some see him as the root of all evil, others see him as a bringer of truth to humanity and so on. One of the most famous symbols of the devil in pop culture is Baphomet, an androgynous deity that originally represented duality and harmony (and is probably linked to alchemy because of how similar it is to another symbol called rebis, which is very popular in Japanese media) but was twisted by the church because of the fear of paganism.
I love that you brought up Brook’s time skip because I also used this portion as a theory of the Goroseii having actual demon powers and Imu being Satan making soul contracts with the Goroseii.

After Imu asks Saturn why he let JoyBoy escape, Saturn said, “I did not know those powers were so nebulous.” I took it to mean he didn’t know Joy Boy’s haki could be so strong, BUT he could’ve been referring to Imu’s powers, which were cooking him at that moment. So my reasons for supporting the orig. post might not hold up.
Shanks: Death (he 1shots people)
Big Mom: Famine (she always hungry)
Kaido: War (this one speaks for itself)
Whitebeard: Conquest (He was the man closest to one piece and controlled the most territory)
Blackbeard replaces Whitebeard as Conquest which fits since he wants to take over the world.
Luffy replacing kaido as war kinda fits too since he will start the final war and loves to fight
Buggy dont fit i cannot even lie but thats kinda the point of him being a yonko
The 7 deadly warlords
Mihawk: Pride (bro refuses to even fight shanks after he lost his arm and uses 0 named attacks, also baratie incident)
Hancock: Lust (she horny for luffy and uses the love fruit which works on people who lust for her)
Moria: Sloth (bro uses shadow puppets to fight and barely moves)
Doflamingo: Envy (his driving motivation is that he is mad he didnt get to be a celestial dragon)
Crocodile: Greed (he wants the ancient weapon and to rule alabasta)
Kuma: Wrath (he was initially introduced as a tyrant so i think this fits)
Jinbe: Gluttony (i dont really got a good one for this but hes kinda round lol)
Yeah Jinbei really messes up the seven deadly sins bit
@@braindavidgilbert3147 yeah fr
Buggy will be Death because he will take Shank's place with the death of Shanks, and then someone else can be another Yonko. (:
Blackbeard could be gluttony,
Blackbeard used to be warlord, he could be Gluttony instead of Jimbei
The modified intro with Imu jumpscares was awesome
There are no jump scares in Ba Sing Se
there's one more wrench in this theory: during the chapter where we learn about the gomu gomu no mi being a mythical zoan, we see Ju Peter asking the other gorosei about why the government hid the name of the fruit, implying that he's joined the gorosei more recently, despite his scar... evidenced also by his younger appearance compared to the rest
you’re too good at this man. thanks for your efforts with this great content.
Always a treat to see a new video release from you. I love following along with your logic, and video essays like this really help appreciate the source material all that much more.
Your videos are so good man, def my favorite theory channel
i am just speechless. You left no room for me to put a word in. What a Spotless Theory I am very very thrilled and looking forward to see it all come true at some point. Fantastic Job
Lets goooo, Hidden is back
What I like the most out of this theory is this kinda changes the perspective of the government.
I think there's still room for them to have been around but not fully understand what joyboy's power was, which is why the fruit has been able to elude them for so long. if they understood how devil fruits work, they wouldn't have vegapunk researching them - which leads me to believe joyboy's power is just as mysterious to them as their powers are mysterious to us
I think it's just fact. Goroei are also celestials. All celestial Dragons are the loyal members from kingdongs that found WG.
@@beasthundred4709 yes but i doubt and of them were the the kings themselves
They probably never got even close to see him, remember this is a country as advanced as the modern day USA and more, while they are revolutionary war era countries at best. Haki may be a equalizer for them to not immediately perish at the sight of the tanks but overall they are not fighting the top leaders of the great country.
@@taxuenowoz4038 if they fought him they wouldnt talk abt him tht way and would have seen him in person at least once.
honestly im never into theories but your style of storytelling and editing is very unique and enjoyable❤
Check out Revelations 1:14-15's description of Jesus Christ physically:
[14] His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; [15] And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
@@benl.4577 I'm glad you brought this up, I was just thinking about this verse in reference to gear 5 last week. So cool.

Words fail to describe how amazing how are, man. The way you reel me in with these theories is unreal
I was thinking I would watch half the video now and see the rest on lunch tomorrow and here I am with eyes glued until the end. Good work dude!
Get help lol, it's a TH-cam vid
so this is what glazing is..

I saw someone say this joke and unfortunately I cannot remember where, but I went along the lines of “Figarland Garlings demon form is……Mac Tonight.”

Welcome back, Hidden!
I believe Blackbeard either can or will one day be able to swim, because the real Blackbeard had a legend where after he was beheaded and thrown overboard, he swam around his ship three times before finally sinking.
No he was beheaded and then walked by his crew to safe them
@@bastiaouad12 I"m sure there are several stories about Blackbeard but the swimming one is the one I'm the most familiar with.
@@echidnaburger02 It's the most bullshit one because blackbeard was actually real he got shot and hanged after to make sure he was dead
One thought that makes sense is that Ju Peter was clearly worried with Jay Garcia's replacement because he fears that he'll be replaced too. After all, he's the Godhead of Agriculture and the Holy Land is crumbling to pieces due to the starving situation.
Fact:
Garling is often associated with the moon because of his hair but in reality it's all a matter of perspective because if we look at Garling from the side his hair looks like a half moon while if we look at him from the front his hair looks like a four-pointed star
both are associated with the world govt/ imu… plus the cover stories with enel showed that the moon itself has beings and they had lost some kind of war.
this much effort in a smaller youtube channel is always refreshing. amazing stuff man!
youre definitely the best one piece theorist on youtube right now, always got engaging and good videos that dont waste my time.
You can’t get better than The Hidden Island, so grateful I found this channel and joined the crew before the series wrapped up. Cheers captain
Regarding the Gorosei being the original kings, when Nika awakened didnt the Gorosei say that there were "previous" members of Gorosei that went after the fruit and couldnt get it? My memory is fuzzy.
I still spread around your 'Kingdom of One Peace" theory a lot. It's unbelievably good I think, so I can't wait to hear this one!
This is by the far the best one piece theory page on youtube.
Seriously needs more visibility.
Love that whole segment comparing the gorosei to their real life design inspirations lmaooo. Glad to see the king return 🔥
The introduction was 🔥🔥
I don't usually watch theory videos about One Piece but I watched this one on a whim and the quality is out standing. Every point was clear and it all made sense
There is still that theory Ju Peter is a secret traitor
It would make sense. When Garling introduced himself as One of the gorosei, Ju Peter was sweating profusely.
Maybe he's afraid of Garling, who might discover who he really is
@@gravito1573 Love how in the ending panel Ju Peter was sitting right at the opposite of Garling
Welcome back Hidden, great vid. Hope everything is going well with you and the pup
thank you 🙏🏻glad to be back bro things are getting better!
Gorosei's are Evil Dicktators!
very few videos change my perception of one piece world and this one did it, for me that is the peak of one piece content!
love you a lot & let these banger videos coming more often
Maybe I missed it but I thought you were gonna add that devil fruits likely only reincarnate through apples, as the apple imagery is plentiful throughout the manga. We've seen the axolotl fruit reform thru an apple and coincidentally Vegapunk 's antenna is an apple as well. These are part of an even bigger Eve tree/Imu theory I've been working on a while
It’s any fruit
Kaku’s fruit was a banana
It seems that everyone have forgotten about the fact that prior the timeskip as Kuma separated the crew, Brook ended up with the “satanist” trying to summon the devil. I always thought that whatever circle they used back then , resembled those of the Gorosei when they got to egghead. You’re the first one finally mentioning it! Thank you !
most common theory is that Imu is the Devil himself and gave the Gorosei demon powers but let’s see what Goaten Goatland has cooked up for us 😼
Oooh, I never noticed the numbers in the Gorosei's summoning circles! This is why I love watching your videos. You help me pick up on all the details and follow the story on all layers.
The new edit on the intro is heat bro… u are truly one of a kind
12:37 Joyboy is quite literally based off the myth of Joyboy. They both have a drum that brings joy and liberation.
Wake up, Hidden dropped another banger. And let me say, the modified intro is awesome😊👌.
luffy is hanuman, the monkey god there is more than enough proof, he even uses the bajrang gun attack. hanuman's brother is agni, the fire god and hanuman's father is pavan, the wind god. luffy will eat the mother flame. hanuman also burns the kingdom of lanka, with his tail so luffy will burn fishman island, and maybe mary geoise. his df will combine with bonney's and they will combine and they will go back in time and meet the original joyoboy. the poneglyph where joyoboy apologizes is actually luffy saying sorry to the original joyboy. the original joyboy's name is something like dyras i am not sure. the books of ohara are in elbaph and vegapunk will join the revolutionary army. blackbeard's dark fruit is the king of hell. the ancient ship crashed and caused a great flood. imu is joyboy's elder brother and joyoboy has an eyepatch
great to see you back. i always enjoy listening to your long-form content the most.
Those scars could explain it too. Me might’ve been dying to those
I think it is because you had more time to achieve more things. Figarland Garling is without a doubt the one with the strongest resume. It is like the upper management of companies. Moreover, I think IMU it's a child, so them being old makes more contrast
This is on of the best theories I've heard to date. You got me swayed

I believe Garling also symbolizes the ajudicatior from the John Wick franchise. As he seems to be the only one. Besides "The Elder" or Imu, who has the right to judge the high table or Gorosei in this case.
Absolutely love videos from Hidden Island. They may not be as frequent as others but his content is always top tier!
Replacing Saturn is how Imu is going to fail. One of the Elders is definitely betraying them

This video was extremely well made, the work and thought process that was poured into this video is insanely enjoyable. Thank you truly, keep up the amazing work, you def got a new subscriber and very excited to binge your videos God bless you!
Yay! My first live Hidden Island theory!
Every time i watch ur videos my perspective of watching one piece changes
Immaculate vibes everytime. Dope video my brother
Now THIS is the content I love! Like Parvision-level of depth in thoughtprocess. Bravo👏👏👏
Pop culture is rere tardo. Its cringe. It goes to show people lack any sort of willingness to learn anything that can set them apart.
I think vega punk loosely explained that devil fruits are the manifestation of desires.
I love the theory and I also enjoyed a lot your music choice for the video. Good job. ^^
Seriously, when does Oda find the time to learn so much about history and myths...
What a sick intro! keep up the good work bro!!!

The Gorosei be like after this vid was dropped “Hidden Island? I’ve never heard of him. In fact he never even existed”
Love this theory, and your narration through it. Great job and thank you.
34:30 Honestly, Gandhi might not be the better guy on this one😭
I love that you brought up Brook’s time skip because I also used this portion as a theory of the Goroseii having actual demon powers and Imu being Satan making soul contracts with the Goroseii.
