I like the Cabot House questline in Fallout 4. I like how Edward can confront you at 3 different towns, I like how Jack sits you down and rambles about aliens when you meet him, I like how you were meant to just to some simple jobs for the Cabots but you end up getting caught it the families drama and finding out their secrets, I like the whole interaction with that insane cult that took the sister, and I like how at the end you get a pretty interesting evil option by Fallout 4 standards.
If you ignore Edward or walk away mid-sentence he'll continue to follow you around town to town until you finish the convo. He'll even say "You'll find I'm very persistent" to acknowledge that this isn't the first time you've seen one another. I thought that was a nice touch that added a sense of urgency, as opposed to him standing still and just waiting...and waiting...and waiting... Freeing Lorenzo and then going back to Cabot House for the confrontation is fun too...makes you question who really *was* the bad guy. Probably still Lorenzo...definitely one of my favorites too.
The pirate ship quest in fallout 4 is also a glorified fetch quest but its fun seeing the ship hitting the building. -I know its not a pirate ship and I don't care
If you use the jetpack to jump on the ship as it flies away, it causes a kind of explosion on the deck when it lands. It'll kill you if you don't go inside the ship. Well that's just my experience
You can go to the building it crashed into and find a elevator behind a crashed bus up to the u.s.s. constitution and become part of the crew and own the captains room
Not a pirate ship, it really is the US Navy. The USS Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship in the world, though it's mostly a museum piece. In Fallout, though, they manned it with bots and somehow called it into action I guess, but it's a ridiculous and fun quest!
Fallout 4’s Confidence Man is easily one of my favorites. Not only because I like most of the characters involved but you also have the constant reminder of what you did for Travis through Diamond City radio Great side quest that actively changes the world (as long as there’s a radio nearby 😂)
I wish you had mentioned the low-INT ending to Come Fly With Me. If your intelligence is 1, when it asks you to program the launch sequence, it gives you the option to smash all the buttons and then gives you a popup that says something like "you don't know if it did anything, but it makes you feel better." However it turns out that that was exactly what you needed to do, so it prevents the rockets from crashing and saves all of the ghouls.
The thing about the wasteland survival guide that many people don't get is it isn't just an introductory quest. The quest gets slightly more difficult the longer it goes on tailoring the segments to things that may be more appropriate for the higher level you are. Its a quest that grows with you.
It kind of spoils you to the rest of the game. “Oh, all quests aren’t like Wasteland Survival Guide? Well that’s disappointing.” Not that I didn’t still play the rest of it for 100s of hours.

Just curious how many people here actually know that you can semi skip Kellogg’s memories? You can run through the rest and if you run to the edge that will spawn the next bridge it will automatically spawn in making the only mandatory one the last one
I love 'Diamond City Blues' in Fallout 4. Many options, exciting progression, surprising and realistic consequences, and you can be *very* evil to everyone involved and affected.
You forgot to mention the other benefits of wasteland survival guide. Like when doing th side option of radiation. You actually earn a perk for taking the radiation to almost fatal. Each part of the quest line can grant you either a perk, or set of items.
With the Wasteland Survival Guide, you also get a lot of good items and perks throughout the quest if you do well during it, being able to heal crippled limbs while at advanced tradition poisoning is super useful.
Depends. If Bethesda or i guess Microsoft, can just open different studios for different games (starfield, fallout and elder scrolls) we wouldn’t be having this problem.
My favorite quest is Ultra Luxe quest line framing a fancy farmer for murder and cannibalism, ultra luxe is my favorite faction and they have a great rich history. I genuinely love this quest every time.
In the dangerous minds quest, you don't actually have to sit through all of the memories. You can just run ahead to the start of the next bridge and dr amari will say that it isn't what you're looking for and move on. The only part you do have to sit through is the ending memory, with shaun, but that only takes a minute or two so should be fine
I'll never forget the first time I saw a deathclaw. I didnt even know they were in Fallout 3 yet becuase i had just compleated the main story and didnt go north any. But when I played Fallout New Vegas I saw the sign that said "Las Vegas" when i left goodsprings and I said, "Forget the main quest. I'll just go there!" So I tried that and honestly, I don't know how I made it most of the way; but i got to the train station and I was ambushed by 6 of them! That was the first time my parents heard me curse back in 2014.😂
Dangerous minds is a favorite?? It’s not even a quest where you actually do anything. My favorite part of it was walking through all the memory strands in 20 seconds
I think many are forgetting arguably the best sidequest of Fallout 4 that can rival some of FNV's. That of Human Error. Quest is actually strangely hidden as outside of potentially being a "part" of minutemen questline, there's nothing leading to it (minus some settlers talking about Covenant itself). Won't spoil anything, but there are quite a lot of outcomes to that quest + one of the rarest instances of a quest in base F4 having a moral dillema.
I think one of the best FO quests is actually in Fallout 76, a questline that starts with Into the Mystery in which you discover the lair of the Order of Mysteries and discover the fate of those who wore the veil
Last Voyage of the USS Constitution is a great quest in Fallout 4, it offers some player choice if my memory serves right but other than that its fun to see the captain of the ship being a sentry bot who speaks in an old english accent and wears a Captain's hat

Dangerous Minds, to me, is a really awesome quest... the first time through. But it has basically negative replayablity, because once you've experienced that story, it just becomes basically one big unskippable cutscene with no new info. It really could have used a little more gameplay to it, something to do so it isn't just a bunch of story.
Really, Talent Pool? That's one of those that I've only done once because it's a nothing quest. I mean at least it's short, I guess, but why even bother? Kellogg admits that Shaun is older and that the Institute took him before you kill him, the memory just reveals the teleportation and about Virgil You get the Shishkebab at the end because Blake Abernathy didn't really care about it, he wanted to save Jake but he was too proud to admit it Unsafe Working Conditions? Now I feel like that one's a joke
I absolutely adore "Long Time Coming" or Valentine's companion quest. Less for the first part of collecting the holotapes but the whole story about Nick after you kill Eddie. Me already loving Nick as a character and his story feeling actually fleshed out somewhat and interesting. The conversation at the end of the mission to me is what stood out for me‚ really ties all his feelings of confusion and him as a character nicely with a warm end.
You can skip most everything during dangerous minds in fo4 if you just walk towards the area where the path will appear had you stayed and watched the quests scenes.
worth noting about Hole in the Wall in Fallout 4, if you take the wrong direction at the start of the digging portion, you're sent to a room with a guaranteed Mirelurk King and some leveled power armor. i thought that was pretty neat

I'm gonna get a lot of flack for it but the adonais protocol and the entire sheepsquatch questline in 76 is unironically one of the best in the entire series.

Cambridge Polymer Labs gives the player the option of exploring in order to finish the experiment or activate the failsafe and have to shoot their way out. Cabot House introduces the eccentric Cabot family and lets the player decide between doing what's right and doing what's safe. Brain Dead is a murder mystery where you get to play a detective and do the whole shebang like interviewing suspects and saying j'accuse! You even missed The Silver Shroud!
I'm a week late but I wanted to throw in my two cents. One of my favorite quests is "Show No Mercy" from Fallout 4. While it's pretty linear, it does some great story telling. Until then you've been fighting with the undermanned, outgunned minutemen or the Railroad and forced to operate in the shadows. Show No Mercy shows just how different and powerful the Brotherhood of Steel really is. Your power armor? Shit. Here's some better stuff. Now get on that vertibird minigun and clear an LZ with your new friend who has their own power armor so you can get us a who shit ton of Nuclear Weapons. It really gives you that stark contrast and really shows if anyone is up to fight the institute, it's the Brotherhood.
I'm actually going to add even more to the appreciation of Wasteland Survival Guide The tasks you didn't like, have a purpose all to their own The molerat task forces you to use a melee weapon against the weakest animal enemy there is, teaching you blocking The rivet city is all about rewarding players for non-combat and other non-standard tasks, as well as teaching players there's multiple ways to succeed The robot task is likely to be your first intro to robots as an enemy (unlike the ally in super duper) and shows how there's often computer/hacking methods around them and that energy resistance is king The library one is kinda meh though It (almost) all has a point
I used to hate Come Fly With Me but as I’ve gotten older I’ve grown to love it. I used to think it was such a slog. I thought it was very time consuming and I hated the way the facility was set up like a goddamn maze. But after years of playing it over and over again I realized eh it’s not so bad.
Eh the best quest I remember from fallout 4 had to do with leaving diamond city, turn left and go down the street to go get green paint. I love those quests in games where it’s like yeah we know your the only person who can fight god after clearing a military base full of zombies, and heavy automated defenses that requires you to stealth it for a gun that looks slightly cooler or you get the bad ending, and then you have that really simple quest you get from your mom. Hey son can you be a big boy and go grab my favorite pen in the next room that’s has a sticky note on it.
Notice a good amount of Fallout 4 comments popping up. That’s nice to see. I really enjoy The Replicated Man. Love the mystery, love the blade runner feel, I’m a sucker for institute stuff, and it leads to my favorite weapon in the game.
The last like... 25% of come fly with me is top tier. The rest of it is decent, but the ending is possibly the best of any quest. Also the pirate ship quest is best quest in fallout 4, fight me, I'll bring the cannons.
Fnv is my favourite game, and with that out of the way, come fly with me is a quest I personally am burnt out of, probably because I've replayed the game so much. So because I'm burnt out, everytime I play through it I kinda groan. I wonder if any other fans feel the same way?
People often criticise the 3D Fallout games for bugs, crashes and long loading screens but when you take a minute to consider the sheer amount of content crammed into every game you can literally play for hours and still not scratch the surface. My current player is level 80 and hasn't even started any of the DLC yet, although I'm restricted to pipe weapons so that might not be a bad idea, I've been waiting so long to get a really good legendary pipe weapon, you know the ones you get on a normal run and discard 🤦

I'm a week late but I wanted to throw in my two cents. One of my favorite quests is "Show No Mercy" from Fallout 4. While it's pretty linear, it does some great story telling. Until then you've been fighting with the undermanned, outgunned minutemen or the Railroad and forced to operate in the shadows. Show No Mercy shows just how different and powerful the Brotherhood of Steel really is. Your power armor? Shit. Here's some better stuff. Now get on that vertibird minigun and clear an LZ with your new friend who has their own power armor so you can get us a who shit ton of Nuclear Weapons. It really gives you that stark contrast and really shows if anyone is up to fight the institute, it's the Brotherhood.
The silver shroud and cabot house are pretty good fo4 quests
They have good naratives and story lines
My favorite FO4 guest is likely the Silver Shroud guest. It just fits the world so well.
Come fly with me has always scared me because of the nightkin in the scary basement
I really like the Cambridge Polymer Labs quest in Fallout 4. It's a nice puzzle quest with an interesting story.
A huge missed opportunity to have the fallout 4 quest with Ironsides. Genuinely some of the best gameplay and characters in fallout 4

The tasks you didn't like, have a purpose all to their own
The molerat task forces you to use a melee weapon against the weakest animal enemy there is, teaching you blocking
The rivet city is all about rewarding players for non-combat and other non-standard tasks, as well as teaching players there's multiple ways to succeed
The robot task is likely to be your first intro to robots as an enemy (unlike the ally in super duper) and shows how there's often computer/hacking methods around them and that energy resistance is king
The library one is kinda meh though

I used to hate Come Fly With Me but as I’ve gotten older I’ve grown to love it. I used to think it was such a slog. I thought it was very time consuming and I hated the way the facility was set up like a goddamn maze. But after years of playing it over and over again I realized eh it’s not so bad.
Tranquility Lane was ruined by the resolution. The bad karma ending was releasing everyone from their eternal torment. Like, what?

Eh the best quest I remember from fallout 4 had to do with leaving diamond city, turn left and go down the street to go get green paint. I love those quests in games where it’s like yeah we know your the only person who can fight god after clearing a military base full of zombies, and heavy automated defenses that requires you to stealth it for a gun that looks slightly cooler or you get the bad ending, and then you have that really simple quest you get from your mom. Hey son can you be a big boy and go grab my favorite pen in the next room that’s has a sticky note on it.
Can't believe you missed the beloved "Story of the Century" quest from Fallout 4. Real innovation from Bethesda went into that one

Notice a good amount of Fallout 4 comments popping up. That’s nice to see. I really enjoy The Replicated Man. Love the mystery, love the blade runner feel, I’m a sucker for institute stuff, and it leads to my favorite weapon in the game.

Fnv is my favourite game, and with that out of the way, come fly with me is a quest I personally am burnt out of, probably because I've replayed the game so much. So because I'm burnt out, everytime I play through it I kinda groan. I wonder if any other fans feel the same way?
I mean if Jake dies in the finch farm quest they give you the sword because it will remind them of him

People often criticise the 3D Fallout games for bugs, crashes and long loading screens but when you take a minute to consider the sheer amount of content crammed into every game you can literally play for hours and still not scratch the surface. My current player is level 80 and hasn't even started any of the DLC yet, although I'm restricted to pipe weapons so that might not be a bad idea, I've been waiting so long to get a really good legendary pipe weapon, you know the ones you get on a normal run and discard 🤦
When it comes to fallout 4, any quest around the children of atom is absolutely top tier in my opinion

I can't name one quest in specefic but just the whole of far harbor is awesome in my opinion
The best quests are from Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel for the PlayStation 2. All of them.
