I would love to see you revisit this run with "Immersive Legendary Mutations". Possibly with Fallout London. Immersive Legendary Mutations actually allows legendary creatures to gain transformations when they mutate, such as increasing in size or catching on fire... Plus they can mutate multiple times (higher chance at higher levels). Imagine a radroach gaining the size increase multiple times, becoming huge.
How did you make it so enemies spawned as legendary before level 8? I want to try this challenge but I feel as waiting till level 8 makes it a little annoying
I disagree. The appeal of these so called "legendary" enemies and their associated loot becomes stale after awhile thanks to their abundance. In New Vegas, while the legendary enemies themselves aren't offering you any worthwhile, the fact that they guard other pieces of valuable loot makes it enticing to fight them, like you get the Mercy after killing the legendary Deathclaw, while killing legendary Nightstalker net you several thousand caps, legion coins and NCR dollars, not to mention the 12.7mm smg
I actually didn't like the legendary system in fallout 4. It really took away the thrill of unique items and it also felt way too "video gamey". Like there's no lore reason as to why my bolt action rifle holds 10,000 rounds in a single clip but it does
I agree with your first point, they definitely should have made certain legendary effects off limits. With the infinite mag size though, I think that’s one of those things where gameplay came over lore, and I’d interpret it as non-canon. Which isn’t the worst thing, sometimes having fun is more important than the devs going out of their way to explain something small that shouldn’t be physically possible.
@@peanutbutter6720 I'd agree if Fallout wasn't a series that's primary intrigue is (or atleast was) in it's wordbuilding. Having a magic gun that never reloads directly conflicts with this worldbuilding and is just plain jarring when it has no explanation. That's also a major reason that a lot of old Fallout fans don't like Bethesda's take on the series, because they simplify the storytelling for mass appeal and break the world building for lukewarm gameplay. I'm not saying that it's a bad game though, it's just doesn't feel like it's Fallout
@@birdyisblue it’s not like a gun having a random effect is some massively immersion and lore breaking thing though. It’s just a random weapon mod to spice up gameplay. Fallout has always had small, random things just for fun.
@@peanutbutter6720 yeah but usually these things have some sort of explanation, even if it might be a stretch. Plus, they actually kind of already had an infinite mag gun before in the recharger rifles, and they were a cool mix of lore and gameplay. I wouldn't even mind it if was just something like the Wazer Wifle that was in the game, because that's a laser, so it makes much more sense that it can have infinite ammo.
You’re talking about world building and immersion and that “older Fallout fans dislike this” I’ve been playing Fallout since 2 came out and I’ve played one and I think what they did with those things was cool, it made the game fun instead of a grind fest, even now finding a piece of legendary loot is thrilling, who cares if it’s against “lore” or something, it’s a video game about shooting lasers with aliens and magic nuke flinging weapons like seriously
do this challenge again. but 10x player xp. and let yourself save at milestones only like unlocking a settlement or getting to a cornerstone. im sure the players would eagerly watch a 10 part series on beating the game like this.
Legendaries the best part of fallout 4? Definitely disagree. Its the worst part for me. I liked weird sci fi weapons and tech. The magical stuff is a bit weird to me.
The legendary enemy system is dumb. It doesn't make any physiological sense. Why do raiders mutate into stronger forms of themselves as they take damage? That's biologically impossible. The loot is the most nonsensical part. Double-barreled shotguns that never need reloaded? That's ridiculous. The legendary enemy mechanic basically turned the game into a shoot-'em-up looter-shooter arcade game.
@@yuungmung Fallout as a franchise is built largely around it's world building so having a magic sawed-off shotgun with an portal leading directly into your pocket of shells is very jarring and conflicts with the main appeal of the game for many people. It's a feature that would feel much more at home in a game that's more focused on gameplay rather than story.

“We are, EEL” was one of the funniest parts of the video and I don’t know if it was supposed to be
Jabo slowing becoming my favorite fallout youtuber 👀
"Why are you talking to me? Kill them!" That remembered me a cult scene of Metal Gear Solid between Snake and Meryl :p
What mod is this?
The fact that Nelson went flying is so hilarious lol 😂
I disagree. The appeal of these so called "legendary" enemies and their associated loot becomes stale after awhile thanks to their abundance. In New Vegas, while the legendary enemies themselves aren't offering you any worthwhile, the fact that they guard other pieces of valuable loot makes it enticing to fight them, like you get the Mercy after killing the legendary Deathclaw, while killing legendary Nightstalker net you several thousand caps, legion coins and NCR dollars, not to mention the 12.7mm smg
i dont blame you for buying a pre-determined legendary. one can only see a lucky leather arm left so many times before going insane.
You’re talking about world building and immersion and that “older Fallout fans dislike this” I’ve been playing Fallout since 2 came out and I’ve played one and I think what they did with those things was cool, it made the game fun instead of a grind fest, even now finding a piece of legendary loot is thrilling, who cares if it’s against “lore” or something, it’s a video game about shooting lasers with aliens and magic nuke flinging weapons like seriously
bro just refused to use the legendary items from the roaches in the begining
it upsets me on how you can be bad at fallout
do this challenge again. but 10x player xp. and let yourself save at milestones only like unlocking a settlement or getting to a cornerstone. im sure the players would eagerly watch a 10 part series on beating the game like this.
Legendaries the best part of fallout 4? Definitely disagree. Its the worst part for me. I liked weird sci fi weapons and tech. The magical stuff is a bit weird to me.
Keeps getting legendary weapons WITH ammo.
Continues to try to kill radroaches with batons to the point of rage.
Its game
@@yuungmung Fallout as a franchise is built largely around it's world building so having a magic sawed-off shotgun with an portal leading directly into your pocket of shells is very jarring and conflicts with the main appeal of the game for many people. It's a feature that would feel much more at home in a game that's more focused on gameplay rather than story.
@@birdyisblue I think the fallout universe is wacky enough to allow it
@@yuungmung I disagree
@@birdyisblue this is the same series that has highly intelligent racoons
Video idea: fallout 4 but all guns are overpowered and legendary
You are so entertaining! Why do you not have as many subs!? Please keep going I just discovered you so I’m exited for the future :)
Legendary Preston Garvey would give you a legendary radiant quest. Otherwise known as entertainment.
When everything is legendary.
Nothing is
That is some legendary gameplay and commentary!
Keep up the legendary work lol
