You my guy are a genius I watched your video went out on the water today switched my settings brightness to 73 contrast to 59 range to 30 l ran the garmin in orange crawfish aswell it was like night and day from yesterday to today the units factory settings were just too bright yesterday I was thinking There Just ain t No Fish In This Lake but today l found suspended crappies at 5 8 and ten feet l could tell rocks on the bottom from what l thought were big fish yesterday I’m running a striker 4 clearVu unit may l add it’s not the greatest graph and l was really sceptical about there not being fish and if the garmin was even works but but after switching a few major settings just like you did I know there there and l can find them and have confidence in my unit now if l can just get them to bite Thanks a bunch buddy
We bought our first used boat and it came with an Echomap 93sv. Thanks for the instructions. I have fished with my brother-in-law but never really learned how the fish finder worked.
Just purchased Garmin 74SV. Can you give me suggestions on the best settings for shallow water fishing? The deepest is 12 ft. Average is 3 to 6 ft. I get lots of marks on the clear view but on the traditional shows nothing at all. I have always used Humminbird so this is a bit challenging. Thanks
Do U think the UHD2 is a better unit for livescope then the 93sv uhd original unit??? Is it worth the extra$$ ?? Im wanting to upgrade from my uhd 73cv for livescope. Thanks for any help.
I have to run my ClearVu on 800kHz and my SideVu on 1070kHz, because running them both at the same frequency causes the SideVu to not be as clear. There are many people that run their’s this way. Not sure what you have discovered with this. I’m running a 126sv and 106sv with GT56UHD transducer.
Can you use both Livescope transducer & the GT 54 at the same time with this unit? If not- can you switch back and forth easily like pushing a button or unplugging one for the other?
Yes you can. I have a quad setup that has LS, Clear, Side, and 2d at once on my 106sv. But that a lot to look at and process at once. Have a split screen with LS and one of each. I have one 54 on the TM and one on transom. My LS is on a separate pole about 2ft behind the tm.
I can't get my clearvu to show much... 2d will say fish and sidevu will show a fish in the water colom. Clear shows maybe a dot, or nothing at all. I'm struggling with it, the reservoirs i fish have heavy boat traffic and the levels keep changing. Water isn't very clear, IT'S A STRUGGLE.
I heard from some other forum that you might increase the contrast and othervise they recoemmended this: th-cam.com/video/Juok5yoLO_s/w-d-xo.html Good luck!

Thank you for putting these videos together.
Thanks for this! Just bought my garmin and need to learn more!!
**Can you please share a photo of your transducer mounted on your transom. Great video.

You should do a video on the best ice fishing settings for this unit.
I'll be on the ice tomorrow with this unit. I can definitely film something on this topic

You can switch back and forth very easily. I haven't tried to use sidevu or downvu with a split screen and livescope, but I think it will work.
