Thank you so much for reviewing the Gigi! Now I know I just need to be patient... I got mine in April and she's giving me juvenile leaves, which are cute, but not what I'm after... Good show! 💚
Thank YOU for watching! 💚 Juvenile leaves can be cute, but I feel you - waiting for those mature ones is worth it! Patience pays off with Gigi, I promise. 😊
That hybrid sounds incredible! 🌱✨ The bubbles from the luxurians must add such a cool texture. And growing fast in room conditions? That’s a dream plant!
Anthurium nigrolaminum 'Gigi' is a cultivar of the Anthurium nigrolaminum species. Mine was sold as Anthurium Sp.Napo, and on researching, the nigrolaminum 'Gigi' and Sp.Napo are shown as the same plant, although sometimes I have my doubts. But as we know, Anthurium hybrids often show differences in appearance, so who knows 🤷♀️ Mine is super dark with more muted veins, the leaf is longer and more slender than yours, Memo, and the lobes are longer with a lot less width in the sinus. Mine is in a super chunky aroid mix, humidity ranges between 65 and 75%, temperature ranges between 19 and 30⁰C depending on the time of year, and is under a skylight that provides top light without direct sun. This plant is so laid back and tough, and is hands down my favourite Anthurium 😁
Mine is getting huge! It's squished in my greenhouse cabinet, time to move it out 🤞 Question: the leaf shape on mine has less of an open sinus than yours, do you think it could be a different cultivar? It's from Ecuagenera. Also mine has very thick glossy leaves, a bit different than yours looks.
I agree about its resiliency to pest pressure(mine had thrips on it at some point). I have mine in 60% humidity but I think it would be fine in less. In aroid mix it had some minor yellowing on leaf edges once from inconsistent moisture levels but otherwise easy.
Sounds like it's thriving! 🌱✨ Moving it out might just let it shine even more! About the sinus shape - it’s possible it’s a different cultivar, especially if it’s from Ecuagenera. They sometimes have slight variations, but those thick glossy leaves sound gorgeous! 😍
Maybe my mind drifted .... you did like 'Gigi,' or no? 🤣😂🤣 Over here at Ecaugenera USA we can get a seedling for $25, or a starter plant for $35. So the money is right, leaving the question: who the heck can find room for this beauty??
I love this leaf shape!
Me too 🎉
Same here! That leaf shape is just stunning, isn’t it? 🌿✨ Definitely one of the reasons I fell in love with this plant too!
Love mine. One of my favorites.
Love hearing that! 💚 It’s definitely a favorite of mine too - there’s just something so special about it, right?
Gigi hybrids soooo nice have magnificum crossed with Gigi and it’s a stunner 🤤🤤🤤
Forgetti cross reminds me of the Aliens from the movie called Mars Attack 😂 I love them and nick name mines “Big Head” 😭💚🌱
Gigi hybrids are so dreamy! Magnificum × Gigi must be a total showstopper. 🤤🤤

After import I planted in aroid mix and I'd say it started pushing new growth in less than two months. Has had multiple inflos.

Wow, magnificum × nigrolaminum × Gigi? That’s an epic combo! 😍 Anthurium hybrids just keep getting better and better, don’t they?!
A comment for yt algorythms
😂 Appreciate you dropping by and helping the algorithms, it seems like the YT algorithm hates me at the moment 😭! You’re the real MVP! 🌿💚
