Mine failed after a few days - there are lots of options to repair though: Replace the o rings with nitrile instead of rubber + regrease, add PTFE backing washers, or even replace the weak swivel unit with an industrial hose reel fitting. You could even repair then carry a snap ring pliers and $0.25 in o-rings and take 5 min to fix when it breaks again.

I’m going to play stupid and act like I don’t know what your saying. Lol who’s kidding I don’t. Can you say that in English? I ordered a 3/8x100 cyclone pneumatic reel to do this with. Be here on 6/27. What should I buy to make this not happen?
What industrial swivel did you find? The only kind I can find only has one inlet instead of the two that exists on these air hose reels.
With me what I would’ve done, is I would have used a T fitting And then attached the hose to the short end of the T and then on one long and would be the fitting that goes into the real way the original swivel attached, and then on the other long end I would install a Mosmatic branded boom swivel

Really recommend to fix it for anyone reading this after it blows out I fixed mine took me a couple of minutes new nitrile o rings and some snap ring pliers and if it breaks again I will continue to fix it just so convenient to have

Mine failed today on while i was rinsing a black nissan rouge 😂 i did exactly what u did i took hose off reel and hooked it straight into pw
I have mine for about 6 months as well and it finally started to leak at the connection point for the water coming in. But it's actually the two O-rings that eventually give out which causes the leak you can easily find those O-rings at any hardware store to have a replace the quick 10-minute fix and back in business

@Stay Slick as a matter of fact if you go to Lowe's and go to the pressure washing accessories you'll find a replacement o rings that will actually fit it takes basically the same old rings that are on the ends of the pressure washer hoses
Just replace the o rings and you good to go,, I replaced them and have 8 more for future use 👍🏾

I find the best way is just to click the remote off (wireless remote) once you’re done using it letting out all the pressure while still holding the gun. When turning it on just click the button (wireless remote outlet) once you’re holding the gun down and allowing the pressure to come out if that makes sense. Doesn’t allow pressure to build up and snap back at the elbow.
Where exactly on the reel itself does the O ring need to be replaced/can fail?
What size of O rings do i need. Mine just blow today. And not sure what size to buy
Does Mosmatic a swivel that can be adapted to work with these cheaper reels?
My hose reel manually retracts. My only concern is that stock brass 1/4 swivel fitting was that the weak point?

Why did it blow out? Was it the swivel fitting? I just converted my own reel and changed all the hoses, fittings, etc.
Harbor Freight Central Pneumatic is on sale. I just converted one.
Yeah I saw it today it was I think 60 bucks or $69 but the reason I didn’t get it is because it has a max psi of 250 as opposed to 300 for the red version so I just figured it wouldn’t make sense to buy unit that’s rated lower even though it’s just a hose
@Stay Slick It seems to be fine. Only time will tell. Plus, I got the warranty with it for an extra $9

The air hose reel is rated for 300 p.s.i . The sprayer puts out 800 - 1000 p.s.i. The fitting on the air reel is not able to handle the pressure.
Smart recovery. Using the retractable how you do now still seems like a breeze. No whip hose needed. I still have mine from your previous vid. What part breaks and I’m assuming it’s not a matter of replacing parts? Thanks man.
The swivel has two o rings and one of them blew out.
You don’t have to run a water transfer pump for that pressure washer ?

You need snap ring players and new nitrile o rings
My reel winds up but at the very last 2ft of the hose it has not e rough tension to reel in all 50ft do you know why ?
Pull the real all the way out and then grab the hose wrap it back around the hose reel one time and pull that extra slack out all the way. Now when you retract it, it will have more tension.
Interesting it lasted 6 months in prof use. Better to by a a proper 5000psi reel though in the long run

I think it gives out when you retract the hose with it full of water I always empty out the water from hopefully it won’t give out but only time will tell
Yea I do know that to be an issue as well. However mine gave out after letting go of the trigger.

How’d you mount the foam cannon to the hose reel?
Generic pressure washer quick connect nozzle holder.
What if you wrapped the hose around the hose reel once and still have connected it to pressure washer directly? Still have the ease of the retractable reel but not the worry of blowing the reel.

Honestly, bro, I wouldn’t do it. If you have that high of a pressure, I would just go with a real pressure washer reel from cox

Yeah, and for the record, I knew it would blow out at some point, but at the price point you can buy five of them for the price of a Cox reel so I was willing to take the risk.
@@StaySlick well if it's cheap y not... I got mine from princess auto the actual pressure washer hose reel it's a really good one one end crack I took it back they gave me a new one
That hard kink at the quick connection will compromise the hose eventually.
