I purchased a ZR2 bison 2 weeks ago. No dealer mark up, the actually ga e me $4600 off the msrp, a fantastic number in my trade. I don't know if I misunderstood the review but my Bison didn't have a bed cover. I spent $900 one like he showed. The truck is lots of fun, I'm probably never going off road, but it's good to know I could if needed. My truck is white. MSRP was $84600. Most expensive truck I've ever purchased for personal use.
I am not a truck guy but have ridden with my Brother in his trucks over the years. This is quite the refined mule of a truck and can appreciate the way it drives looking at your review Joe.
Wow... what a great-looking truck! Overall, I really like the interior appointments and what looks like very comfortable seating. And, yes... I've had Bison burgers, steaks, and roasts. All very tasty and, as you said, much leaner and healthier.
Joe, I work for the other AEV and several times a week I get calls from their customers about their “Ridgid” lights 😂. I’ve worked with my company for 21 full years and I’m almost halfway through my 22. We build some of the best ambulances in the country and even export units to Sweden and around 20 a year to Dubai. I would recommend you google “American Emergency Vehicles” because that’s the name of the company. If your interested I can show you unpublished 4k photos I’ve taken myself of our prototype fully electric Ford E350 concept ambulance. You would be amazed in what it takes not only to be able to run your run of the mill LED lighting, but also the HVAC system and the insane materials we’re going to use that are both high quality and still be able to save weight
Nice truck. More than I need and way, way more than I would spend. My local GMC dealer has a Sierra that is $51K and that's perfect for me. That's $30K left in my pocket. Not to mention the dealer "adjustment" to actually get a Bison. They'll add $10,000 to $15,000 over MSRP.
While I haven't done any significant research I believe that this is the vehicle review with the most usage of the word "bulge" that has ever been posted online. Congrats, Joe. 😉
This truck looks cool, but it's relatively unchanged... Shocks, bumpers, skid plates and updated interior are top notch. But this truck deserves 35 inch tall tires to seal the deal.

just test drove a regular zr2 today.. i will admit i usually dont like the electric blue color but it looks awesome on this big truck. the 6.2 sounds and feels awesome...also drove the 3.0 diesel. it felt good as well. weighing out my options on what truck to buy here in the next month...going to test drive an at4, tundra, and tremor this weekend.
That’s one of the more attractive new trucks I’ve seen. I’m not really a big fan of the grill of the 2023 full size Ford trucks which I always compare other trucks too because of the business I’m in

Yeah what's up with the fake vents on the front bumper. Love the infotainment in the Silverado more than the F-150 vertical screen. The yellow stitching is nice.
Would love to see a Silverado Alaskan model on the channel. I think it might be an option on only the HD trucks because those are the only ones I've seen. One of the dealers in my city had one and it looked awesome. Haven't seen it out there in a while though.
Great truck just won’t last over 70k with all the advanced electronics in that thing if you live in a cold state. I had a higher end Chevy model and it was beautiful, the cold started making things rust and corrode over time and caused a draw in my electrical system that kept killing my battery. Was a headache and a nightmare to diagnose. Got so bad that I had to take it to a dealership to figure out. If they can keep a truck this beautiful internally and externally with less things to corrode or get ruined by moisture in cold states this truck is awesome then. Or even just keep all the engine components basic and simple keeping electronics out of the power train so that an 80k truck like this can last over 200k miles without service

We have been building trucks and engines for hundreds of years. How does these things and recalls even happen. So dumb. Just fucking build shit correct and to actually work. Stop complicating everything. All brands blow donkey ass now days.
It's due to chip shortages. That will probably resolve in another 2, maybe 3 years. It takes time to build more mfg. plants and ramp up production. EVERYONE is subject to the chip shortage.

Drove a zr2 as well and loved a lot about it. Reliability..questionable for sure but it's a good looking truck. One downfall I found is the gloss black bulge! At certain times in the day, the gloss black side of the bulge (facing the dash and driver) blinds the driver with redirecting the sunlight. They could have hollowed out that side or flat black it out to solve that "real world" engineering issue

Honestly comparing the silverado best trim to a raptor it needs a lot to be up to the level I think the front of the silverado looks way better than the raptor but raptor is clear in every aspect, maybe dashboard is better on the chevy

I've had two trail bosses. 2019/2021. I just purchased the 2023 silverado Zr2 bison. Fully loaded. This truck is bad ass.
How are the seats compared to the 19/20? They still hard as a rock? I have a 2020 RST. Seats are garbage.
