  • In this video, we hear from Karen Lawe about training deaf dogs using hand signals and body language.
Karen uses her own deaf Boxer dog, Gollum, to demonstrate some of the techniques you can use to communicate with a deaf or hard-of-hearing dog.

Thank you for this, my dog is deaf and sadly a little blind too so hopefully these small tricks will be helpful for him

Very interesting! I wonder if a vibrating collar could be used to tell the dog to look for you when you're at a distance.

Thank you! I am being considered as a partner with a handsome boy name Zen. Zen is deaf. I so want him. He is with a dog rescue.

Sorry to hear about your deaf Boxer. I'm wanting to learn how to train a semi deaf Chihuahus puppy. Any hints?
