I'm So Happy I found you and your videos. My 13 year old year old yorkie has atarted losing his hearing and it happened Fast! The vet checked him out and said it's normal for his age. He had a slight ear infection ~ I was hoping after using ear drops and wash for couple of weeks, he'd get better, but not the case. So, now I'm educating myself on how to communicate better and ensure he is comfortable ~ he's been jumpy, a little anxious and barks loud when we play now. This is All New Behavior! Thankful You for the great information and I will continue to follow you ❤

I’m adopting a double merle Chihuahua Pomeranian mix. He is 16 weeks old. The woman that had him didn’t train him. He isn’t house trained. I am excited to watch your videos and learn how to properly train him. But it might be tricky because he’s partially blind.

You really are amazing. What you're doing for us and our animal pals is a wonderful and noble thing to do. Deaf dog diva is what we'll have to start calling you.
Your video presentations are incredibly engaging because of your clear speech, straightforward instructions, and contagious enthusiasm.
My Miniature Schnauzer, Billy Jr., is 13 years old and started losing his hearing approximately 2 years ago. We trained in Singapore for trials and advanced obedience training. We are now back in the USA. Because of his deafness, I've had to reverse the order of numerous commands. I just wanted some guidance with the basic commands. I've decided to watch all of your instructional videos in one sitting. (1) How many times per day or week should we train a single command/behavior? (2) When training several behaviors, should we do so all at once or space them out? (3) What recommendations do you have for those who become deaf later in life but who have a solid background in verbal cues?

Just got a 8 year old pup and he is deaf, I'm terrified to be honest that I won't be a good owner or be able to help her experience her best life. Whilst this helps, I'm still not exactly sure where to start for it all.

You said to contact you if we have problems with a deaf dog and shadow chasing. My mothers deaf chihuahua has been chasing shadows since she got him. She also says the vibration collar scares him, although when I’ve worked with him with it, he’s been fine.

When you get a moment, get her to flick me an email info@k9concepts.com.au I'd be happy to help.
Many dogs find vibration collars unpleasant, startling or even scary even if they've been trained with treats. They're not something I recommend, especially if a dog is showing abnormal repetitive behaviours like shadow chasing as they can make the problem worse.

Your information is good but I was really hoping to see you doing the steps with a dog. That would have been more helpful for me.

Markers are for all consequences. Not just rewards, but also punishment as well. But I guess you're force free, not balanced?
Greats tips for teaching new behaviours! But need another video on eliminating unwanted behaviours! Doesn't work to reward for that 😂
