Zeke is a rescue boxer who was found in abandoned in a crate in a really condition. His foster mom brought him into her home and soon after learned that he was deaf. Things turned around when she brought in a sister for Zeke.

Zeke has endured so much--deafness, cancer. But thanks to the two angels in his life--Zella and his foster Mom--he has triumphed!

From someone who is not considered a "people person": ALL animals are incredible and awesome. Some more than others, but ALL nonetheless!! But, its these incredible "stewards of animal husbandry" that sometimes awe me the most!! Kudos to you, Patty. You are SOOO lucky to have these beautiful, amusing creatures in your life. YOU are truly blessed!!!! And, because of that, WEE get to enjoy them, too!!!

I think Zeke are a very good boy, and Zella too, and i am sure the zoomie and cuddle force are strong with both.
My own best friend with 4 legs, also know sign language, or at least the sit and lay down i have taught her
When she said Zeke had cancer I got so worried.
Luckily he's free for now ❤️
I raised and trained a hearing dog with both hand and voice commands, so teaching a deaf dog hand commands is not that hard. You just have to be consistent with which hand signal you use.

I had a dog who because deaf. We used hand signals too. We live in the country so he had lots of room to roam. I did keep a bell on him so I could keep track of him. Ppl thought he was so well behaved. Dogs are so smart. Does he vocalize?

I knew an American bulldog that was very similar in size to Zeke. All white bulls/boxers etc sometimes are deaf due to genetics and bad breeding programs. Glad this guy found a great home.
