For 5 Lakhs extra of Skoda Karoq over VW T-Roc, you get:
    1. Bigger car with more space and 200mm ground clearance (same as XUV 500) Troc has just 170mm GC.
    2. Dual tone beige and black interiors like Superb L&K or Kodiaq (VW has all black, which IMO makes the already small cabin of Troc feel even smaller)
    3. 10 colour Ambient cabin lighting
    4. 4 way Electric lumbar in driver seats: helpful for people with lower back issues like my dad (Troc has only 2 way adjustable manual lumbar support)
    5. Way Bigger panaromic sunroof and boot space in Karoq
    6. Electric drivers seat with memory function
    7. Auto dimming outside rear view mirrors with memory function
    8. iBuzzer and fatigue alert system
    9. 8 speakers & 9 airbags (Troc has only 6 speakers and 6 airbags)
    10. Navigation with live traffic updates built in (Navigation comes in virtual cockpit as well, not in Troc)
    11. Cruise control (surprising miss in Troc)
    12. Full LED Fog lamp projectors (Troc has halogen reflectors)
    13. Skoda's simply clever things like clever arm rest storage management, boot storage management, in car dustbin, ticket holder, umbrella under front seats, AC vents under the seats, rear camera washer, etc.
    14. Better built interiors in Karoq with soft touch materials (same quality as superb & Kodiaq). Troc has hard plastic on Dash and doors (like polo, vento).
If you can extend your budget, definitely buy the Karoq.
Non-European Alternatives depending on your needs:
    1. For space: Harrier, Tucson
    2. For 4x4: Tucson GLS 4x4, Compass Trailhawk
    3. For Value: Creta/Seltos
    4. The 7 seater options: XUV 500, Crysta, Hexa (I don’t recommend MG Hector because it’s owned buy a Chinese brand).

Germans are drivers car more than anything else. It’s more of a heart’s decision rather than the mind’s.
Safety, tank like build, planted ride, driving dynamics, performance (DSG + TSI) & confidence inspiring brake + steering combo all contributes in a superior package IMO.
But I agree they aren’t the cheapest or the “most bang for the buck” (like for eg. the Koreans).
Also they don’t offer good “price to size” ratio (just add 5L more in Karoq and get a full size endy/fortuner 4x2 if size is required).
But then again, nothing comes close in terms of making you feel special & happy when you drive these Beauties, so my pick will be Karoq among the all!

      Extremely well pointed buddy!
However, i feel that the Harrier seems to be a lot more stylish (especially the Dark Edition with the all black exteriors!), spacious and equally safe with a solid build. Overall, in my opinion it is an accomplished product for a relatively fair price. An all rounder in this Crossover SUV space.

    • @parthoomphy7214

Bomma Reddy Brijendra Reddy yes but harrier doesn’t have similar features or performance which Europeans offer nor does it have that body control/dynamics. But overall it’s a good product for the price. My neighbour has a harrier and I have driven it quite a bit, you can see some finishing issues like sharp edges and panel gaps also. This I think is not acceptable in a 23L rs car

A lot of reviews don't mention the difference in features between the cars. For example T-Roc doesn't have cruise or traction control, no electrically adjustable seats, no day night RVM, no memory function seats and no LED fog lamps whereas Karoq has all of these. While Karoq has almost everything it doesn't have hill assist, ventilated seats or gear shift indicators which are all present in T-Roc.

How these two vehicles are compared to 2020 Tata Harrier or 2020 Mahindra Thar?

But in regards of off-roading or rainy muddy roads Mahindra Thar gets the point.

But if you must, then Harrier if you want space, Thar if you want an off-roader with comparatively limited comfort on the street, T-Roc is you want a quick and agile driver’s car, Karoq if you want a premium feeling European crossover with space comparable to a Q3/X1.

i dont understand you all you say Troc is a size of premium hatch back and then u say vehichles like scross and wrv are suv like...! ISNT THIS A CROSSOVER SEGMENT (premium/non premium) why so much confusion!

    • @doctordang8612
      @doctordang8612 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I own Scross and it's being target of all car channels giving negative reviews, but it's one hell of a car,all premium features at that price is noteworthy

    • @A_.S_.
      @A_.S_. 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Doctordang my point is not about the car. What I am inferring is that its a crossover segment. And most platform shadow this segment by projecting them suvs/mini suvs/ Premium Large Hatch bags. So my point is a crossover cant be termed as SUV and there is to much shamming about it.

Karthik C I will prefer the car which makes me happy to drive every km that it last, No matter it last 1L km i will still buy it becoz of driving pleasure. I don't want taxi's to carry people as a driver for 2-4L km. People comparing these cars with innova are taxi driver's who will buy car once in their life time and wants it to survive for 2 decades and later on wants to sell it for good resale value. That sounds so stupid. Like in in movies we have fairly backward audience, similarly we have fairly backward buyers when it comes to cars in indian market. I am driving Polo and rapid since 9-10 years respectively still no issue. Every single KM is still good to drive with confident enough. More than 1.25L km driven becoz i know how to drive them😀

Troc a very big NOOOOO... VW just cheats by offering a car at 25L with hard plastics, spaceless cabin, low ground clearance, manually adjustable driver seat and a more crossover type appearance nd functions... Man it's 25L and at this price point, y to go for a car with all the above bad qualities in it!!! So it's definitely a solid deal to pay that extra 5L and go for Karoq which is such a nice SUV on offer... Atleast drive both the cars, I'm sure Karoq's vehicle dynamics is no less than troc... Anyways, views and interests might differ for individuals... so KAROQ is my definite choice!!!

@@nickyrossi4669 as I said views and interests might differ for people... But how can just the best engine compliment a car...? It is a no from me... It's all about the overall package... While buying a SUV for 25-30L price range, I want the best engine, ride quality, nice cabin space, premium feel, better ground clearance, robust built quality, electrically adjustable driver seat with memory functions and definitely a SUV look.. I think all my expectations are included in Karoq and some of them are missing in troc!!! So I'm ready to pay that 5L extra for a better package in karoq...
