VW seem to have target only a particular group of customer...not for everyone
Every guy who reviews a car complaints about rear seat headroom and says taller passengers are gonna suffer but there is always headroom for everyone. Rare case khali steps inside the car.

what's wrong with that? I'm sorry to say they aren't great and doesn't live up to the hype. I've a VW car so I can comment. The reviewer is spot on about the build quality.
ofcourse everyone needs a soft dash, they want to sleep there....... .i used to love overdrive ... but this is nonsense
Indian buyers will buy a 18 lac rs creta and 20 lac rs seltos but they find 23 lac rs t-roc(onroad) costly. Creta and seltos doesn't even come near t-roc in terms of build, fit and finish, technology, drive and handling and in any other department you can think of. Moreover t-roc is completely an imported car that means no biases towards india like most of the manufacturers do in indian versions of their cars. These overdrive people i think are some what influenced by Hyundai's or Maruti Manufacturers because they never provide clear cut reviews and will always try to bring down good cars from VW either by being over critical or by not highligting the good points in proper manner.
@a s cruise control? why dont you buy airoplane you can actually put it on auto pilot😂😂 mast hai bhai... You dont even have to hold the steering wheels, kaha chalayega nhai cruise control... Every 500mtr you'll find cattles or bangladeshi and brake. Amd about electrically adjusted seats with memory .... Kya bhai kaunsa kaunsa position mein gari chalayega 😀😀😂. Just ask yourself are these feature so usefull and i think its 23 lakhs not 25.

Unfortunately it's 26.5 lakh now and VW removed lane assist and brake assist feature in the new version. Also there is no 360 degree camera and no ventilated seats.....Its smaller in size compared to rivals... There has to be something to justify the price point other than being a VW

The reason: they r practical... Eg the Korean siblings gets ventilating seats compared to the heated seats...
Vw's have always been a driving enthusiasts delight, rather than focusing on the needless features they focus on how to make their cars more rich in driving experience and safety. These cars seldom breakdown and even if they do there is a 4 years warranty which is extendable to 7 years now ( not sure whether it's 7 or 6 years) which can take care of it. THE ONLY LOW POINT I FEEL THIS CAR HAS THE GROUND CLEARENCE BEING 160 , HOWEVER THAT HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED BY VW.
THE GROUND CLEARENCE NORMS HAVE BEEN CHANGED AND NOW THE MANUFACTURERS HAVE TO DEPICT THE LADEN GROUND CLEARENCE INSTEAD OF UNLADEN. IF BY THAT STANDARD THE GC IS 160 I THINK IT'S QUITE APT
@a s Definitely your comparison is worth noticing. However I would like to differ from you on the points.
Firstly how often does one uses the cruise control and that too in Indian driving conditions
Secondly the quality of plastic used on the dashboard I think is not as big an issue. To put this point in perspective I would like you to notice the price of the Ford endevour and Toyota fortuner ( and these are just the tip of the iceberg, there is a whole line of suv's that I can name). The price of these cars are nowhere justified to the features, the quality and capabilities these vehicles provide. Trust me on this dude that these cars are not capable of doing what is claimed by the company, still I do not find any of the moto bloggers complaining about them.

T-roc feels like mini maccan power n thrills with best belt quality
Indians never appreciate good products that's why Creta , seltos rule.
T-roc have same body frame which used in urus and Q3 etc.
If have to buy I go for it.
Or harrier both are great and underrated products.

Vw might be checking customer response with this CBU... But at this price point, it can only be considered an alternative to q3..not for seltos or compass.

T-roc first batch of imported 1000 units has been sold out already.
Not yet. That was wrong news floating around. They had around 800 bookings and once deliveries began, there were some cancellations too. So they still have stock remaining out of the initial 1,000 units imported
If this manufacturing in india cost of topend version will be same or marginally lesser(due to india specific features).
If it’s manufactured in India, the price will be higher in fact. Because currently the T-Roc is coming into India in limited quantities (

The UK pricing for the same spec car is 26L INR pretax. Else it is almost 40L post taxes there. You can configure yourself on VW UK website. It India, preGST price is 14L INR. VW will be making loss on this car !

Do you want Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai kind of scratchy plastics and maybe creaky door panels after paying 24 lakh rupees for a hatchback sized crossover?
The Fat Biker it definatly doesnt has cheap plastics neither its a small suze car. Best is to take a look at the actual car and drive. None of the reviewer has said bad about the vw or ne german car’s build quality and performance except for this person

T Roc is 5 lacs cheaper than Karoq which has same 1.5 TSI Engine...
Price is high because it's a full CBU import that attracts high custom duties

@@mrinalpati8918 yes they are investing heavily in upgrading their manufacturing plant that can produce the latest MQB architecture on which troc is based...that is why new MQB based polo is getting late to meet the right pricing and Indian norms

In terms of size, definitely yes..in terms of build quality and engineering definitely NO.
Sunroof is not ideal for the Indian climatic conditions. Customers must be given the option to buy without the sun roof as it is available in Germany

It doesn’t feel like a 20L car.Specially from the inside.It feels just one level up from Polo . If it’s for 8-13L it’s ok .. it’s way too overpriced .The Kia Seltos feels rich from inside & more suv’sh.

Creta and seltos has dashboard which is plastic, other than features they don’t have anything with near to safety feature of troc. This car is not foe a person who is buying suv for first time

You need to check in person and understand how HIGH QUALITY this car is, it is just a replica of Audi Q3. Please don't compare cheap plastic shaped interiors with the elegant car.
