I know it's expensive, but if you want the proper asmr experience, gotta splurge and get the actual jewel case and manual. FLip through the manual before playing for bonus nostalgia
@@silversun1736lol well I dunno what cool world you were living in but the rest of us were using tvs similar to this. You may even recall electronics/game stores using a similar style for people to play on. I didn’t even get my hands on a 50 inch tv till nearly a decade after SA2 was released.
Yeah, they're both great! I love the super stylish introductions of SA2B, but I love the straight-to-the-point Dreamcast opening with the letters flying in too.
@@dreamynx5540 The ideal version would be the GameCube intro with the Dreamcast title cutscene. Because I would be lying if I'd say that this version isn't epic aswell!
I was born in 2005 just as CRTs were on their way out, but I remember having that old “moderne” style entertainment center with the console set in one cubby and the VCR, GameCube, and Wii in the other side on their own shelves. Coming home from kindergarten and watching Sesame Street or playing Ocarina of Time and Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Lightsaber Duels was awesome, bro.
If PlayStation didn’t destroyed dreamcast on sales, dreamcast could have been probably the biggest console to date in sales, this console was amazing, was ahead of his time
I mean you could say that about any console. But yeah i suppose if all 150 million people who bought a PS2 had bought a dreamcast, it would be the best selling, at like 165 million. Yeah Dreamcast didn’t sell too well. Even the Genesis sold far better.
The squeal the tv makes when it first turns on is amazing. So many menories returned from that. Now I have to find a video where someone hits the screen
Ahhh, brings back memories. I remember picking this game up for Dreamcast from EB Games back when they were a thing here in Ohio. Then I got it for the GameCube and still have it somewhere in the basement. Of all the things I threw out/away over the years, SA2B for GC always followed Me...
Such childhood memories here. Late 90s, and I was a boy seeing this back then. This, the PS1, Atari consoles, and NES/SNES systems. Nostalgia forever! 👌❤️😎
The Dreamcast hills a special place in my heart because the first video game I ever played was sonic adventure 1 at 4 years old and I was born in 01. So it wasn’t my system it was my cousins so I only got to play the Dreamcast at their house. The first console I owned myself was the ps1 lol imagine how I felt when I got the PS3 it was crazzzy. But when I got older even though I had my own systems that were more advanced I saved to buy myself the Dreamcast because it was an amazing console.
Instead of playing Sonic on the Xbox 360 PS3 PS4 PS5 Xbox series X or even the Steam Deck playing it on the Dreamcast no achievements trophies 🏆 what made me love playing games was the achievements and trophies there is only one game on the Nintendo Switch I love playing without achievements trophies that’s marvel Vs capcom collection it’s a classic
There was a theme on the Nintendo 3DS based on the Sega Dreamcast. When you put it in Sleep mode and open it up it works play the VMU beep and whirring sound of the Dreamcast. Best $2.99 I’ve spent yet.
I remember that this game is the reason why I figured out that knuckles existed, because I only played Sonic 1 and 2 as a kid. Skipped every other game and got this as a christmas gift when I was 8 years old and I was like: "Who's that red guy? And there's a bat lady and evil-looking hedgehog?" I of course recognized Dr. Robotnik, but I was confused as to why he was called "Eggman" now lol.
My goodness, a memory got unlocked when I heard that disc drive reading the game disc. I didn't remember it was so loud, but now I do! Hahahahah. What an amazing game Sonic Adventure 2 was. I miss playing Chao Adventure 2 in my VMU. Those Chao were my companions when my mom was giving birth to my little brother, so I keep this game pretty close to my heart. It brings back so many memories...
I forget that all the ticky, tacky, tactile process was apart of the experience back then. I used to think the console was hooked up to and communicated with the main company's office too. That way they could guage your level of frustration and laugh at you. Of course, that's more true now than before.
Idk why but hearing that “tskk” when he turned on the tv was super nostalgic and unlocked a bunch of core memories ☁️
It’s nostalgic and i didn’t even live in that era
You just explained why.
Static….. remember how you’d get shocked too?
And it also bleeds my ears

Each flick of the page further adding to the... Happening of it all.
Oh case and manual are hard to find.
Nah a third party case is still nostalgic for people because some of us only could afford the used loose disc's from gamestop 😭
@@ZeChef9000 true. My GTA3 and hitman 2 copy bothered me for that reason.

Sonic Adventure 2 even in 2024 still is a masterpiece.
It took sonic team 20 years to make another game that not even half as good
No it really isnt

that “ts” from turning the tv on brings a ton of fun memories
