I have immense respect for Patricia. This lady has class, beauty and a modesty that is rare in the entertainment world. I'm surprised that she never went out as a fashion model because she certainly had the looks. And yes, what man wouldn't dream of having Patricia as his bride.
Why be a 'fashion model' when you're already a Musician?! Your face will get seen anyway, from gigs & promo, if that's what you want; no need to leave your real love!

I met Patricia in 1983 when the Gun Club toured Australia, our band supporting them on their farewell show at the Paddington Green Hotel in Sydney before they returned to LA. She is a remarkably warm, kind and generous human, but with huge amounts of inner resilience. She remained very grounded throughout the chaos that ensued during the tour, as Geoffrey often went missing at crucial times.
Any time Andrew E. claims to be "not goth", just remind him that he picked Patricia specifically for her look, then filmed a video with her dressed in black leather and fishnet and buckles, all to go along with his own image of an all-black duster-wearing brooding dark poet.
..i wish Patricia would have been sexy looking in that particular Video!

The real thing was VAMPIRA, Patricia actually was trained by Vampira to be her successor as tv-host, but the tv station decided that they'd rather pick up Elvira. And yes, Elvira was modelled after the look of Patricia, but Vampira gave her the look. There is a whole chapter on that in the "Glamour Ghoul" Biography of Maila Nurmi(Vampira)
Patricia is the prototypical gorgeous goth babe don't get me wrong, but in my opinion Cassandra Peterson (aka Elvira) is the prettier of the two, not to mention her erhrm twin assets. Pat gets point for being real though as opposed to Elvira who is a persona.
I saw her solo performance at The Old Trout in Windsor, England. I spent most of the early nineties gazing at her beauty, in a state of complete awe.

Patricia Morrison is so beautiful, who knows what the Sisters of Mercy would have evolved into if she had remained in the band and her ideas were used in the next record (Vision Thing)
They may have played down the goth category but their music was a mainstay at the legendary goth/Industrial City Club in Detroit where I was a regular from 1998- 2008 ish. Especially “This Corrosion” was a huge favorite from the late 90s until around 2005 when the crowd started to change. Even then The Sisters would still get play. Haven’t been to a club since 2012 so I’m not sure if the kids today like the Sistrs.
Oh, and I had the biggest crush on Patricia back in the day. Heck, I’m 49 years old, happily married, and I still have a crush on her. Lol. Her and Anka Wolbert.
I requested and they played them just this May at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco and people packed the floor for it, don’t loose faith

I have you laugh at you folks who say she is "too short" or doesn't have the body type to be a model. Beauty is beauty is beauty. It comes in all sizes, colors and shapes. Who decided that a woman has to be a certain height or have a certain body type to be a model? The overwhelming majority of women in the world are not 6 feet tall and 90 pounds. Insisting that a woman has to conform to somebody else's idea of beauty is absurd.

Oh Andrew....She wasnt a passenger...she did alot for the band and you didnt treat her very well at all...you really did use her....Im betting she wasnt allowed to make any of the music(remember when you would only let Wayne play an Em??) and that her not picking up her bass except in videos was because she wasnt permitted to or asked to...
Wooda Woos aww that's shitty.! She seems so artistic and sweet (take notes current aspiring -ladies, this is a REAL woman). At least Andrew wrote a song for her...lol. still would never known who she was if she wasn't in sisters.

Also a very talented musician, intelligent, affable & with integrity; a great but rare combination.
Glad" "Mrs. Vanian" worked things out with Alice Bag but it would have been fun to see her do a 30th with the SOM.
Patricia, although mostly a decorative element in the band, had a big part making SOM from cult band into superstars. And after she left SOM became a cult band again.
Supported her solo band back in 1993 at The Garage in London. She got royally screwed by the session guys she hired (mostly Nitzer Ebb) charging her big session fees I think. Married Dave Vanian and gracefully retired from The Damned a few years back. My other half used to get mistaken for her "back in the day"!
Whoa, Nitzer Ebb tried to screw her over? I never cared for them already, I guess I'll have another reason to dislike them...

I heard Andrew Eldritch was a bit of a recluse so it doesn't surprise me they could not interview him.

Interesting. Patricia is an awesome bass player. I love her work with the Gun Club. Im not hugely familiar with Sisters of Mercy. I know who they are but ..anyway this chick is great. Not just another bit of "goth" fluff. Watch her play live and listen. She's amazing.

What do you know of the history of Petra? -Uhm. -The rose red city, is that right? -Yes. -What did you learn? Did you do your homework before you went out there? -No. ... a monument... Patricia let herself be embarrassed by the interviewer's only somewhat untactful question, something that never could happen to Andrew. And quite rightly should she have felt embarrassed for shooting a historically exotic video, and the first ever for the country of Jordan, yet staying clueless as to where exactly she had been. No, Al Khazneh is not a monument, it's a temple fer chrissakes, and yes, it was perfectly retarded to go on an expensive journey to the other side of the world for the vista of some mystical exotic location and not have the inkling to at least look up some basic info on the place. At least she had going for her that she was't half as ignorant as she was beautiful.

Ouch! a little harsh, aren't we? Back in those days there wasn't google. Guess what...there are many countries and places in the world with a lot of history but I'm sure you don't know about many of them. Does one actually have to do historic research about the place that one goes to or can't just one enjoy oneself and ...soak it all in? Who knows what she had going on in her life? Why do people take it personally if ...people coming to another country haven't actually studied the country's history? Do you actually think that bands that tour in other countries or shoot videos there actually want to study that country's history? The world can be a pretty grim and people have their...responsibilties and dramas. I'd say more but I'm tired. Good luck!
