I think he's got the typical weak/non-dialect you get from university studies. You meet people from all over, and hear and read heaps of formal text til it wears down most of the regionality of it.
We are not a club band - we don't play to less that five thousand people. Cut to the last 10 years and they would be lucky to get five thousand people hence they are a club band. Note to former self - keep your mouth shut and be grateful for what you have.

He sang fine when I saw SoM last year! - & I didn't 'like' the gig, I LOVED it; genuinely 1 of the best I've been to in a long time
