    Hey guys!
    If you have been on the search for a challenging full lower body workout to do on your leg day, here it is! This workout will target your quads, glutes, and hamstrings, having you leaving the gym feeling like a wobbly noodle!...In the best way possible of course! haha. On a serious note, this workout is a perfect mix of everything in order to ensure each muscle is being properly targeted in both, their lengthened and shortened positions. You will do a mix of strength and hypertrophy training in order to get the best of both worlds when it comes to your leg day workout. So if your ready to challenge yourself and get a serious leg and glute pump, give this a go!
    *This workout took me about 1.5 hours to complete from warm up to finish. Depending on your rest times and how long your warm up routine is, it could be longer or shorter. Make sure you have adequate time to complete the workout as this is a big workout and not rush your rest breaks in between sets! Rest is important!!

    Welcome back Hunter :) If I keep running with the same 4-day split, how often do you recommend I change up the exercises for each section? I tried to do a 6-day split but I am not on that level yet. 4 is all I can manage for the time being. Also, any tips to speed up recovery?

      Every 4-5 weeks. 4 days a week is plenty if you program things correctly💪 & getting good sleep, sufficient protein intake, hydration, LISS, & foam rolling.

    My gym has the same brand of machines that your gym has. I feel like I dont get the same amount of resistance on these machines as I do on a standard machine that doesnt have a moving seat (like their chest press machine).

      Hell yeah!! That’s awesome!!💪🔥 & I’m not 100% sure on the band weight I just grabbed one of the thicker ones in my gym. Maybe 50lb resistance? Not too sure!

      Basically - I structure first based on my overall goals for that phase, then I program the specific exercises based off those goals I am working towards and ensure each muscle group has enough volume throughout the week, and then I set the reps/sets. The weight will be dependent on those reps/sets, the exercise, the goal, the overall volume that workout, the overall volume that muscle group will experience that week, etc. Everything goes back to overall training goals. I will then make appropriate calls during my training if my energy isn’t sufficient for whatever reason (usual poor sleep) and I need to make changes.

      As long as you need to feel recovered for your next set! Ball park - heavy taxing compounds- minimum 3+ minutes, smaller less taxing isolated movements 90sec+

      Hola Blanca, los glúteos y cualquier músculo se fortalecen con cargas progresivas y depende de la condición física de cada persona. Mi sugerencia es que empieces de a poco peso y vas aumentando cada dos o tres semanas.

    For the 4a and 4b, do you recommend using a moderate weight like you are? I know sometimes people will use a lighter weight just for filming purposes.I feel like using anything heavier than 30-40lb would be super out of breath after lol not that thats bad just towards the end of a session it might be tough

      Unless I state I am using demo weight or it’s a demo video, I am always using real weight bc I am actually training in my YT vids💪
      You want to always choose a challenging weight for the reps/sets given, no matter the exercise. Challenging doesn’t mean to max out though. You have to look at the overall volume you are expected to do and your performance/energy levels that workout. You can always adjust weights! So if you do a set and it felt too light or too heavy, switch them out.
      So for me this workout, my energy wasn’t great and by this point in the workout I was pretty burnt so I opted for a weight that I felt comfortable with for the reps/sets given, especially considering it was a high rep superset. I don’t go ‘heavy’ on walking DB lunges bc of knee stability from previous injuries so I don’t need much to feel challenged. Then jumping right into the squats to further burnout the quads, I was good😅
      If I wanted to max it out or if my energy was way better this day could I go way heavier? Yeah. But would it be the best choice considering all the factors I just talked about while also maintaining good form, control, and mind muscle connection all the way through at this point in this workout? Ehh🤷🏼‍♀️
      You just gotta make the best calls for you that session!💪

    What brand are your knee sleeves? My knees are so weak and I’m having a hard time finding sleeves that I feel keep me sturdy enough. Definitely trying this workout this week!👀 wish me strength lol

      Yes! Being explosive as there are 2 different forms of resistance I am working against! Slow on the way down for one resistance profile (moving the weight) and then explosive up for the second resistance profile (moving the band). Always have to be mindful of every aspect in your movement💪 Keep in mind even with regular RDLs or any deadlift variation the muscle is challenged in the lengthened position so having an explosive pull up would be only a benefit. Especially if strength is the goal💪
