Thanks for a great presentation of the different books. I have some of those and each is good in its own right. When I was a teenager and in my early 20's, I worked in a hobby shop that did Lionel repairs. I wish that I had some of the references that the shop had for servicing and parts. I did learn a lot about how to repair the trains. That has really helped over the years.

Most of my repairs have been self taught over the years with help from references and an older gentleman that has helped to mentor from time to time. I do get a lot of satisfaction bringing these old trains back to life.
