This channel exists to document unit counters within StarCraft 2. Tya's Unit Tournament features epic battles between units in StarCraft 2, using music from the game's soundtrack. Units are chosen from Protoss, Terran and Zerg forces, or a coop commander such as Raynor, Nova, Artanis, or Kerrigan. Units will independently use their abilities, in a basic way. All units use Legacy of the Void stats, the same units you'd see in SC2 esports controlled by the likes of Serral, Maru, and ByuN. The resource beneath vespene is the unit's cost in the mod I run on the SC2 arcade, Direct Strike. Enjoy!
I feel like if Nova doesn't get instantly killed in these fights she ends up healing all the way and winning.
I definitely didn't expect zeratul Raynor one to be as close as it was.
Don't forget there were more than thrice as many Raynors as there were Zeratuls... So not as close as it seemed.
@@Thescott16 most of these matches would be blowouts on 1v1. But tya does adjust for that. And zeratul does have a little more crowd control than Raynor.
@@Thescott16 also remember Zerathul gets to use abilities Raynor did not. So really not saying much.

I mean, seeing as you had to stack up 35 Raynors against 10 Zeratuls, the answer was probably no from the start.

@@loup067 zeratul has 0.5 second invulnerability when he gets hit on i think 5 second cooldown. It's like the slayer/mirage thing, but a bit weaker.
Can Raynor take Zeratul? In a fair fight, no. In an unfair fight, also no but now with added shame.

I mean its not unfair, protoss always have an advantage on 1v1's due to their design, more raynors than zeratuls is as fair as it gets

1 Siege Tank vs Artanis
Silly things like that.

Artanis instantly charging in and dying to the marines was one of the moves of all time
2/4- suprised that Nova was able to take on Artanis. Expected more from Zeramortals.

@@egebabus3423 Yeah he wouldn't be able to close with em. Now, 15-20 wrath walkers in a semicircle might be different.

My predictions:
- Zeratul (figured the lower numbers would've been warranted with the aoe, still got very concerned with how close it got)
- Scouts (got suspicious when I saw the "lotv stats" noted here)
- Artanis (felt like I saw this before, didn't realize Artanis would get instagibbed in this case)
- Apocalisks (the burrow sets them up perfectly for their aoe to do its work)
For the scouts I think it's to make it clear they don't have the OP anti-air they used to have

Wow the Scouts actually won. Only cost their squadron 82% losses, to the tune of 48,750 minerals and 7,500 gas. But a victory is a victory, right?

I figured the answer to the title's question was a no. Still, that final moment where the remaining Raynors desperately trying to take out that last Zeratul with only their rifles.

I’m surprised Zeratul vs James Davis Raynor was even close. I thought Papa Z would shred even with those numbers.
can you do 4/4 or 5/5 Zeratul Immortals (from the prestige) vs something?
Nova's a hit and miss, sometimes shes powerful sometimes shes weak.
I mean, she's still weak. What did she do during that fight? Ate one attack, then dueled 5 zealots. It was her marines that did all the work.

I'm gonna be the obvious one and say that it depends which raynor. Marine raynor doesn't have detection, zeratul wins.
If every ability is timed as perfectly as possible between sniper raynor and zeratul, zeratul wins. If abilities are not timed perfectly, the sniper's line shot ability kinda deletes zeratul.
Edit after watching the video: And if left to the AI, apparently no abilities are used.. very unexciting. By the way, how do you choose the numbers of units that go against each other? Sometimes it seems you try to balance the mineral/gas cost of the two armies, but other times it seems like you just put random numbers in. 16 Zeratul Immortals vs 400 scouts? Huh?

Wait, aeration immotals do AOE?
The predator is widely considered to be one of the worst units in the game due to its mechanics, and lack of synergy with other Terran forces, but what if there was a way to make it good without crazy stat buffs? Would it synergies with a Protoss or Zerg army? Could you test this and find out what units it pairs well with?
It was made pretty damn good in some of the custom campaigns.
One of them added a blink option, and it turns out, blink on a high damage unit whose only weakness is low durability and large size, well... It obliterates enemies.
Predator is specifically an anti-light specialist… that can’t tank and costs gas to make… and you only unlock it halfway through the campaign when the enemy is sending Mutalisks and Brood Lords as well as Roach Hydra. Honestly no unit works well with it, maybe the Thor?
Its a great unit for its intended purpose: shredding light units. It massacres zerglings and marines in small numbers.
Unfortunately it’s way too expensive, lacks a real gap close option against ranged units, lacks armour and can’t beat anything other than light units. It’s also too big.
Give it charge and like 2 base armour and drop the gas cost to 25. Instant Hellbat replacement.
Apocolisk is to much of a unit. best thing ever!!
