This channel exists to document unit counters within StarCraft 2. Tya's Unit Tournament features epic battles between units in StarCraft 2, using music from the game's soundtrack. Units are chosen from Protoss, Terran and Zerg forces, or a coop commander such as Raynor, Nova, Artanis, or Kerrigan. Units will independently use their abilities, in a basic way. All units use Legacy of the Void stats, the same units you'd see in SC2 esports controlled by the likes of Serral, Maru, and ByuN. The resource beneath vespene is the unit's cost in the mod I run on the SC2 arcade, Direct Strike. Enjoy!

Zerathul just got better units with him, the fact that they blink the whole time means that they can't be killed which is too overpowered.
When I saw Z v F, I was like "Fenix, hand down!"

My man Zeratul is unmatched in close combat.

Zeratul did seek a way to avoid the prophecy entirely. But when he couldn't find one and the prophecy came to pass, his goal was to unite the Protoss against Amon which Artanis then did in his stead. To that end Zeratul was successful.
There was never a point when I thought Zeratul would 1v1 Amon. So your comment just doesn't hit right.
Man these Purifier unit designs are so awesome. They look like they have angelic halos.
1/4 I got bodied today. Not too familiar with all these units this time
My predictions:
- Zeratul (mainly because of the stalkers, though I was surprised how fast Fenix fell)
- Primals (had no idea of Kaldalis' potential)
- Karax's (figured "oh, more Immortals? That's easy")
- Zeratul's ("I can't be wrong about immortals twice in a row!")
Last 3 battles were fenix' hero units, hence really powerful as you usually only get one at a time

@Ji Hun Shin not very much, so it shows when the units are primarily co-op specific ones. I know they exist but don't know their niches
@@Eltrotraw Yeah, Fenix's units are... unmatched to say the least. The whole premise of Fenix in co-op is he gets to use 1 of each of those and they move to a new "host body" when they die. So Kaldalis moves to another zealot when he dies and so on. So they're all balanced around having ONE and then a couple of bodies to move to after they die.
He's the only one i've actually played up to lvl 15 and mastery 30. everyone else i have like lvl 5 xD
It's no surprise that the purifier hero units won these match-ups. Each one has an ability that gains power with each type of host shell that's active - so each hero is amping up each other hero at the same time.
I think the purifier heroes gain power from standard units, not from heroes
@@Yondaime_Me Can't remember the Tactical Data Web values for Taldarin and Clolarion but it looks like Kaldalis is getting his full Tactical Data Web benefit here (4x as much splash damage as regular damage). If you focus on them as they kill the hydras the primal hydralisks behind their targets die in less hits (look at the isolated Kaldalis bottom left at 1:01). Since you only ever get 1 AI champion per unit in normal play it makes sense that they wouldn't account for heroes boosting each other.
You mean the commander's lvl15 passive? I thought passives were supposed to be off, hence why Karax doesn't get the healing beam
That's a commander skill, not a unit ability. Also, that buff only applies to when an AI is downloaded into a new non-hero host after the host they were in dies. Since they were all hero units, the AI isn't taking over any new bodies.
The reason Kaldalis won was because the primal Zerg's Hydralisks and Ultralisks were weaker than expected. Primal Zerg needs Impalers and Tyrannozors. Also, the reason Taldarin and Clolarion win is because of their strong AoE ground attacks. Conversely, Karax's Immortals were defeated because they only had Shadow Cannons, and Zeratul's Immortals were defeated because... their opponents had 100 Clolarions.
I never realized how detailed they made Talandar's in-game model before.
3/4 - not expected to Fenix to be taken down so easily.
Legionnaries are the worst zealots, even worse than the ones from the ladder lol (cost wise)
3/4, was not expecting Kaldalis being able to kill a larger force of primal ultras and still be able to kill the hydras.

What happened in the first match, how can Praetor suit be taken out that quickly.
Didn’t even regen the shield. Died during the spinning ability I guess
Fully upregaded Xel'Naga Ambusher deals 36 damage to armored per attack, and they focused on Fenix.
Fenix uses the recharge ability automatically when he runs out of shields. If he gets clapped by Zeratul before he can use it, it basically never gets used.

3/4 didnt expect kaldaris to win
but theres one issue i noticed whit the first fight, the legionaries didnt have the reconstruct ability and they just died, meanwhile the stalkers did seem to have the damage on blink ability
legionaires don't reconstruct

Honestly, I'm shocked the Enforcers did that well. They really showed their worth, regardless of who was left standing.
I gotta say, the fact that 100 hero carries almost lost against 40 zeratul immortals with only a handful of survivors really goes to show how crazy those immortals are.
Clolarion does shit antiground damage, literally a normal carrier without interdictors and interdictor splash is only good when insanely boosted. Clolarion's main strength is high armor air, beam damage is insane.

Yes Fenix. You also had horrendous pathfinding.
Hey, his pathfinding was fine. And then he got taken out in Antioch and got put in a dragoon. But dragoons are extremely difficult to control, so you should not judge them by the paths they choose to walk.

Zera stalkers have a singje target damage ability that activates on blink. Feniz smashed into the center of the pile, xausing a large number to blink, getting himself focused down by the ability

First fight should be zera ambusher vs fenix adept(coop) instead to fight legionaire it not a fair fight at all ambusher do dmg when blink legionnaire got zero chance against it while adept fenix is range unit and shade ability also can deal dmg it should be a close fight
