      absolutely zanni, it's good that they are having a rational discussion on a serious subject, I tend to side with the students on this matter. I've never heard atheists going around saying that "life came from non life", as an atheist it's something which science hasn't yet figured out, but we're constantly being told thats what we believe. @@leonstoltz6088 This is an interesting subject Leon. I can say this.
      I didn’t really realise or appreciate the faith I had until challenged by atheists to produce evidence for God’s existence.
      I think initially I thought I believed in God primarily because of creation.
      However I am now inclined to believe that my belief in God is mainly because of faith, although God’s creation around about me is either equally important or it at least comes a close second.
      And I think this is hard for an atheist to understand, because this faith which is a gift from God, given to those whom God knows will follow Him, is such that it’s all persuasive in persuading us of God’s existence.
      Therefore whilst some might call my faith blind faith, to me it isn’t like that at all. It’s an incredible knowing that’s beyond comprehension.

They rejected where they come from and will reject going back to where they come from. I pray for them that God give them the courage to accept the Truth for after 100 years all will face the Truth and after 1000 years or 1 trillion years the one who rejected will keep rejecting it for eternity (God respects and back up so that they have their own ways). The first kid is completely right in his reading of Paul's words to Timothy on the functions of men and women in the church. Clearly, Paul applies the words that women should not teach with authority over men to all churches and all Christians. Furthermore, as the kid stated in the video, his reasoning is Adam and Eve and their story. This is a universal reason. Paul didn't mention anything about Ephesus and their pagan gods, so we must not make that assumption.
    The right answer to his question should be, yes, men and women have different functions in different settings. But they are on the same value. A proof of this is that the Son and the Father in the Trinity have different functions and the Father is said to be functionally "above" the Son, yet they are exactly of the same value and nature, to say otherwise would be Heresy.
    To answer Mr. Cliffe's counter argument about Priscilla teaching Apollos. Any teaching done by Priscilla to another man was not done with authority. She was not preaching as an apostle or pastor or from a pastor's pulpit. There is nothing wrong with women teaching men. It is wrong when it is done with spiritual authority.

Companies have never released half a mouse trap to the public. They have always been fully functional mouse trap whether they be primitive like snapping mouse trap. Over time as these companies began to expand they have made better trap to outsmart mice without any of the models being incomplete. That is how evolution works, there is never a time where you have half an eye or incomplete eye. But there are obvious steps where you can tell that it may not be the eye we have today but something as simple as photo sensitive cells reacting to light.

    I talked to my friend a lot about that last part. We were bouncing off thoughts about how someone in like a cave could go to heaven without ever having access to a Bible or even being aware of it. We didn't fully come to an answer, but we did know that people wouldn't go to hell because of ignorance of not knowing. We were wondering that because we are designed in his image, we have a set of morals that come from a higher power. Those morals in essence do come from the word, but you might not know how you are arriving at those morals. Someone in that situation is obviously being tested, I'd argue much more, than most people, and since we know that we can speak to Jesus with our heart, there might be something to that. I'm definitely not recommending this route for anyone as an alternative, was just our thoughts on that hypothetical.

When you follow God's ways you will understand how to test him. For instance use scripture to see if God spoke everything in the existence. If everything is vibration and frequency then this is a clear sign . And creation declares God. And science says God is not real but they don't know were we come from. So the burden of proof is on science untill someone can demonstrate a full working model a grand unified theory of everything. God is on the throne

    @givemeananswer, you are correct. The living cell is extremely complex. So is the eye. There are many things about the eye that science doesn’t currently understand. But that doesn’t determine whether it came to its current existence through a “Designer” or Evolution. If the eye was created in a ‘step-by-step’ manner, that would mean that there would be multiple designs of the eye. Some designs would be able to see colour, some would see infrared radiation/body heat, some would be limited to black and white shades, and others would act totally different. This is true about our world. Homosapiens can see the colour that sharks cannot. And while snakes can see infrared radiation/body heat, the worm (a species sharing a common ancestor with the snake) doesn’t have eyes at all. Their environments determine which features they require to survive. The ones without these requirements die out. But Evolution is all about the present moment. So, if the environment changes, some of the current features will be less desirable than new ones, or the ones that worked beforehand. Over billions of years, the changes in environment go back and forth. Therefore, the characteristics of organisms change, causing Natural Selection to occur.

    • @RileyMoon-sv2cg
      @RileyMoon-sv2cg 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The fact that something seems irreducibly complex doesn’t mean that over millions of years it couldn’t have developed. The universe creates everything out of specific particles (building blocks, so to say). Although matter cannot be created or destroyed, it can be manipulated to become something else. The universe is constantly changing the order, size, quantity, and type of the particles to create new things using the matter that already exists. It never stops. Leaving plenty of opportunity for new characteristics to arise.

    • @RileyMoon-sv2cg
      @RileyMoon-sv2cg 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If God were to design a characteristic (such as the eye), He would see no purpose in creating more than one design. He would create one design that would fit all species, and that would be most efficient for all environments alike. As He supposedly loves us all, he would give everybody equal opportunities. Apparently, He did. He creates Adam and Eve, with almost identical DNA. Their following children would also have identical DNA. This would continue forever, a constant pattern of copying and pasting.
      So @givemeananswer, according to the Bible, answer me this: Why do all the species on Earth act/look/survive differently to each other?

      Oh dear. Two things you need to know.
      A scientific theory is not the same as a theory in the colloquial sense of the word. What you might call a theory in everyday language is closer to a hypothesis in scientific terms.
      A hypothesis is an educated guess, one that can be tested. A scientific theory is when that hypothesis has been demonstrated to be factual.
      The subject matter of a scientific theory is fact, the scientific theory explains why. For example:
      Oxygen is a fact. Oxygen Theory explains why.
      Secondly, no one in the entire scientific community is claiming that the universe came from absolute nothingness. It's a misunderstanding of terms. What we tend to think of when we say "nothing" is the same as a philosophical nothing, which is the same as what physicists refer to as absolute nothing IE a complete lack of any space, energy, matter, particles and light.
      The Big Bang Theory doesn't actually say anything about something coming from nothing. The energy was already there. Energy is not nothing.
      Atheism is the rejection of God claims.

    • @majm9309
      @majm9309 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@InvestigadorTJ _Nearly all atheism is the consequence of the lack of any logical evidence of gods._ So there's no "faith" involved at all.
      * Some people claim "god exists".
      * When asked to prove that they know this by presenting logical evidence proving a god exists, they can't.
      * If they present any arguments at all, those arguments rely on logical errors, and when these errors are explained to them they ignore the errors.
      * Often they don't present arguments and try to derail the conversation -- like by being confused about the meaning of atheist ("disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods.") and dragging conversation down to an argument over terms instead of discussing the heart of the matter.
      Until theists stop acting this way -- _until we have logical evidence of a god existing_ -- non-belief will continue to be the rational position. If you care about whether your beliefs are truth, and you can't present logical evidence, you should abandon belief.

      @@johnnyrocket5548 it's been proven. The theory of evolution is seen in multiple fields where everything line up. It's has predictive capability that's helped us make new discoveries multiple times. Even religious scientists including Christian scientists admit that it's a fact. Cliff, you are a blessing and thank you for the pouring out of the scriptures. Just a small point - you said there are people in the word who would not have heard of Jesus because they were born about a hundred years before Jesus. You mentioned Moses as being one of those people. But what about the transfiguration where Jesus met with Moses and Elijah? Surely, Moses knew Jesus?

    Basically its impossible for an explosion to make rocks fall into a perfect position or order, and all constantly spinning around the sun. Its only possible with a superior intelligence. I believe many people just dont want to except that God is the obvious answer as being the almighty creator of everything. We can except or deny the overwhelming evidence that makes this most obvious answer to all life and creation.

      You understand how gravity works right? Evolution does not refute the existence of a God, what it discusses is the development of life. If evolution was false it would not explain why some birds have vestigial claws or bird embryos have teeth.

    I actually agree with the student in the beginning on this one. I think Paul was very clear what he was saying. I would have handled that argument differently. I agree with Cliffe on many issues, but I think he is to quick try to explain away scripture like 1 Timmothy 2. I don't think it is "sexist" to have different roles.
