Meg’s daughter Marthe died aged only 40 in England more than 20 years before her mother. You say her engagement was broken in late 1910? She must have become pregnant earlyish in 1911 as a baby boy was born in London in the October quarter. She had married in Paris in July 1911, her mother attended according to newspaper reports, but it seems it only lasted a year. (A marriage of convenience?) She married for a second time a few years later to a London based Italian in the Shipping/Insurance business.
Meg appears to have understated her age on the English 1911 Census by 7 years🙄

Wow. I love the occasional "not guilty" it keeps them all fresh. Well, to me. As someone who was on the wrong side of the gavel, I have only the following to offer. If guilty, go for a jury. If actually, really innocent go with a judge. For everyone, guilty, innocent, or just a victim of circumstance do not say a *WORD* without a lawyer. *ESPECIALLY* if innocent. @Jesus Christ For what it's worth, usually Brief Case articulates well what probably happened. In this case it seemed like everything was circumstantial. She probably did it, but I didn't even hear a cause of death.
Seems like Parisian law enforcement really muffed this case.

@Jesus Christ Statistics show that attractive people get away witj more ctimes and get significantly lower sentences if they are sentenced, as are women. One recent set of statistics says that wealthy, attractive women have as much as 300% more likely to have a reduced sentence, or have it thrown out, than a normal person or man. That's in the US anyway.
