Thank you for presenting this. I’d never heard of Marie Grouès before, but what an appalling woman! Wikipedia tells me she wrote under the name of “Héra Mirtel” among others, a name by which she may be better known to some. She was also a “feminist” of the obnoxiously aggressive type. But that was part and parcel of her obnoxiousness altogether. She was a narcissist who imagined she could do anything she wanted without regard to anyone else. She treated her husbands like garbage, constantly cuckolding them. And when they got in the way of what she wanted, she murdered them. A complete psychopath, as other commentators have said here. It would be interesting to know what really happened with the guy who ended up shot in that Mexican hacienda--possibly another victim of hers--and what motive she might have had for killing him. And how about the Mexican guy said to have committed suicide after being rejected by her? This woman sure left a trail of bodies behind her!

“Today we are *going* to France and Mexico so sit back as we *go* to the early 20th century”... does the redundancy drive anyone else nuts? So which is it?? Going to France and Mexico.. or to the 20th century? Every one of these videos- same thing. The intro drives me nuts! Can you say “....Today we are *going*.....so sit back as we *head* to the early 20th century” or “Today we will *visit* France and Mexico so sit back as we *go*...” rather than the double going/go? UGH. I know it’s probably ridiculous, and petty, but it’s poor form, and absolutely maddening to me! I can’t be the only one.

The nice personality evaporates, and the ugly antagonistic real person is constantly there. It's so tedious. I leave at that point. Shame that her husbands didn't. They got to see the poisony shooty part, and it never ends well.

Another great video!! Im working on viewing all the past ones!! Your just about the only true crime narrator that can pronounce foreign names & places (regardless of the country's origin) perfectly. Its important to know these stories of the past. While tragic in nature, we can learn from them & hopefully avoid some of these crimes in the future. As forensics & technologies advance you'd think future criminals would stop & think before executing any heinous acts as the odds of them being prosecuted & imprisoned for it grow higher & higher as each day passes.
I started watching and had to pause the video real quick when her picture popped up I was like What in the Horse's Hay???? Almost choked on my french fry!
Brief Case , you always dig cases from the past we didn't know. That's always interesting discovering why and how "some peculiar " people behaved in those years. I recently found that Marie's nephew ( her brother's son was Abbé Pierre, a very good person towards poor people, poverty. As an "Abbé" ( father ) Pierrre dedicated his life to others and created "Emmaeus" sort of Oxfam which still remains , where people can find a job, where people can buy an object after second or third hand. In 52, because of winter, he fought for people having a shelter. ( a film was made ) . I once heard on the radio that Father Pierre ( Abbé ) wanted to expiate his aunt's sins. More sincere feelings than a financially greedy killer member of his family. Abbé Pierre is well-known and beloved in France , before and after his death.

I thought his voice was different too @Swnsasy....
It's forgotten lives narrating. That's mortis medias brother 🙂
I was thinking the same thing about the voice lol, but still a good case, enjoyed it as usual 😊!
lovelife-letgo Oooh, does he have a channel or anything???
Forgotten lives. Another great channel.
Great narration so far! Looking foward to hearing the rest of the story BC!
I forgot it was Monday! Thanks for the upload!!
Thanks :)
Fast becoming my favourite channel. Thanks again for your hard work.
Forgotten Lives narrated the story, he gas a really good channel :)
Awesome, as always. I have to wonder why neither the maid nor the testing facility spoke up later about the poisoned soup. I do get the testing facility, as may be he never gave them any details other than "I need this tested". Maybe she was questioned during the trial and the prosecutors didn't want to muddy the waters, so to speak?
It's lovely to hear Forgotten Lives in this video. Brief Case, your voice is excellent as well. Both of you seriously have some obscure and interesting individuals for the subject matter of your content. Their wickedness of heart is so evident in the photographs, I noticed. Still, everytime I listen it's a delightful treat.
Thanks :)
This channel is so good dude
Thanks
Really enjoy ur contet man. I just found your channel recently so i had to binge watch to catch up lol. 👌👌
Another great upload! I love your channel and I'm glad I subscribed. I know you usually do obscure cases but I've run across the few that I recognized from other types of TV shows and documentaries. That being said if you cover Albert Fish you may be surprised at the results of your investigation ^_^
Poor Paulette.
This case is a good example of how Narcissist mothers traumatise their children.
No daughter should ever have to help her mother stuff her dead stepdad in a trunk.
"Help Mummy Sweetie!"
Parenting Fails #4352
This is a really cool channel. I've got to listen to several of your brief cases this morning with the storm in the background. Too early to wake up too late to go to sleep. Enjoyed it 😊
I appreciate the amount of research you put into these awesome videos.
Morning Briefcase , thanks for having start my Monday off with your narration.
- I know it's a different narrator, I still love all his uploads.
Hello Forgotten Lives narrated this one :)
@@BriefCaseOfficial You know what I meant...lol.
@@BriefCaseOfficial Your channel but a different narration ..he did a good job.
Thanks so much for the hard work you have put in these videos they are a pleasure to watch. Lisa
Thanks :)
Looked forward to the next brief case this week.
Thank you :)
Thank You BC I Love This Channel 👍😊
Thankyou :)
"after that Marie and her husband continued to have arguments..."
Yep. That sounds about right for a relationship with a Narcissist.
The nice personality evaporates, and the ugly antagonistic real person is constantly there. It's so tedious.
I leave at that point.
Shame that her husbands didn't.
They got to see the poisony shooty part, and it never ends well.
Thank you Forgotten lives love your channel and love Brief Case now I'll finish up with Bedtime Stories. I don't know what I would do without the three of you.🤔🤠
Enjoy so much listening to these cases! These people are not well known, so it's especially interesting. Thank you for this story🤗
All the other languages you speak are IMPECCABLE!!! LOVE THIS CHANNEL 😀
Thank you once again.
Great speaking voice as the narrator, and certainly a very interesting story! Thanks!!
It's raining here. Rains + your voice is the best combination ever! ❤
Skies clear here supposed to rain tomorrow though… But nice all week
People can be so wicked sometimes just by excluding others!
💯 props to you sir, for correctly pronouncing the volcano Popo. As a bilingual American who lived very near Popo for 4 years it's really hard to get all the syllables right!! I think it took me 3 of the 4 years I was there and by then I found out everyone just referred to it by Popo 🤣🤣🤣
I will subscribe to forgotten lives ,thanks for letting me about forgotten lives.Barbados.God bless
Thanks
I like the new creepy background music...adds even more to the ambiance...
I love your channel and listen to it almost everyday
Wow every day, thankyou so much :)
Not Marie's best picture 🙈😂
Kim Verhaaff #nofilter
Yeah, I know, not to be unkind, but giirrrrlll. Must have been taken when she was much older
Actually. ...
it is
9 minutes in~ that photo not too bad . . .
U ain't never lied 😅🤣😂
Standards must have been depressingly low in the early 20th century..yikes...
MermaidLuvly I would have scored a lot higher back then 🤦🏻♀️
I started watching and had to pause the video real quick when her picture popped up I was like What in the Horse's Hay???? Almost choked on my french fry!
Thanks for these videos.
Your research is very impressive, and I look forward to your submissions. Well done!
Thankyou so much :)
You always seem to find the most interesting and obscure cases. Kudos!
Thanks :)
I’m kidding. After looking at her for about 8 seconds I have slowly become less attracted to her.
I love your channel I can’t get enough
I live in Michigan usa
Make this into a MOVIE! I'd watch!
Excellent presentation!
omg i thought i clicked on the wrong channel lol
I love Forgotten Lives voice, yours of course, but Forgtten Lives voice feels like a history lession and i love it.

Thanks :)
Love listening to your voice. Your videos are very interesting.
Thanks - This one was narrated by Forgotten Lives :)
Chilling.
Tyvvm....great story! Ty Mr Forgotten Lives.
Anytime they say that they didn't divorce their spouse despite hating them because divorce was frowned upon/ carried more stigma in their time, i just can't help but think that murdering people is pretty freaking frowned upon too. I don't know if I think it's something that they even considered lol too expensive maybe but I doubt they choose murder because Betty at church would whisper behind your back if you got divorced
Wow. Great story and storytelling !
Dude knows she tried to poison him and does NOTHING?! Sorry but he died from his own stupidity with that one.
Very good pronunciation in the Mexican names and places. Thank you. Narrators very seldom take care of this issue. I'm grateful.
Forgotten Lives speaks 100% English & Spanish and is really good at French so I thought he would be great for this one - Thanks :)
Thank you FL.🎉🎉🎉
Thank you
Great work my guy
Thanks :)
Very good!Wow what a story!
I just subscribed to him too. I hope I have the correct forgotten lives. You are a very unselfish person to put someone else out there like this. I don’t even watch these types of videos much but I watch yours and the oddity guy that I thought was you because of your attitudes, str8 to the point videos and unselfishness 😎
Great job!!💙💙
Forgotten Lives is fantastic ,,but my ears were geared for my lovely!! But it a great job!
Thank you!
Another great story, :) I will also look into Forgotten Lives

Thank you xx
Always look forward to your videos bf keep up the awesome work :)

What surprises me is she kept getting married even though she know she's killed people. And she has a unpleasant personality.
