I want to thank you for releasing a video over this festive period. For those of us who lead lives of lonliness and for who Christmas is a time of grief and pain - for what ever reason, any intellectual distraction, and especially routine is more important than ever. I was about to bring up your channel and find an episode I might not have heard yet..so I belft blessed to find you have a new release. I play your episodes while i play tetris and ironically i find i concentrate on both very well. Thankyou so much and hope you had a blessed christmas.

Not only are these stories well told, I'm really enjoying the vintage pictures that go with it. It adds a special dimension that you don't often get with other channels.
Still my favorite True Crime channel. Love the through research and clear and even presentation of horrendous cases, without judgmental statements. Purely facts without embellishments. I keep an eye out for the cases as you post them.
First of all, I want to say how much I appreciate your "excellent," presentation of these horrific crime stories. I'm a long time amateur detective and have always been fascinated by real life crimes, period! You always have fascinating and yet intriguing cases of which some I've never heard of before. I'm looking forward to seeing more great cases in the new year, 2023.
Perfect for a lazy morning post baking and cooking all day yesterday. Thanks as always Brief Case, you always bring interest and intrigue to my Mondays!!
We can only imagine how many women were murdered by Theodore Durrant, whose murders were never linked to him. By telling Blanche Lamont's aunt that Blanche became a prostitute, he was casting the light of suspicion on himself and showing his resentment toward his victim. I think its interesting that both of Theodore Durrant's victims (Blanche Lamont and Minnie Williams) closely resembled his sister Maud Allan (who was an exotic dancer in San Francisco). I am wondering if he acted on his resentment about his sister's profession as an exotic dancer by murdering Lamont and Williams? Thank you for highlighting these stories. These victims deserved to be remembered.
the way you word it makes the case sound like Theodore Durrant was a previous incarnation of "the evil" within Michael Myers, the fictional serial killer
Thanks Brief Case for covering the case of Martha Place, which was a case that I requested. Very disturbing case!! Very grateful you picked it in the top 3 for this year!!
This is by far my favorite true crime channel. I've been listening for 3-4 years, and I LOVE the vintage cases you profile. I know it's probably a lot of work, but you should do these compilations more often. I often listen to your videos more often. ❤
I always love listening to your videos, I just don’t always catch them when you’ve first uploaded them. Better late than never, I guess. Your voice is so well suited for these stories, pitch and cadence is very soothing, despite the subject matter. Going to binge watch and catch up!
Your stories are such a gruesome treat for those chronically intrigued by the darkest bits of humanity, like me 😉. I wish you happiness and continued success in all aspects in the New Year.🎁💕
I remember reading about the Durant case several years ago. It was a book titled The Bell Tower by Robert Graysmith the author of Zodiac. The author believed the murderer was a clergyman who immigrated from England seven years earlier and had been in some trouble there. The author also believed he was Jack the Ripper based on some flimsy circumstantial evidence.
I remember my first time l listened to you was the Chicken Run murder. It has been great listening ever since. From you I discovered The Crime Reel and History Profiles. I was excited that there was an episode I had just been too busy. Then it kind of hit me that it was at a real person's expense. This compilation must've presented you with a helluva hard choice ,or three, as it were!!!!!
You're brilliant!!!! Bravo, bravo, BC! Great choices, each fiendish and horrible, more than most!!!!!
I watched Alavandar, again. One of your best narrations.... ( and, I felt sorry for the justice he never got......) Your research of foreign crime and mysterious locations is compelling, and superior, in my opinion, to every other channel in the same genre. Thank you!!!!!!!
Thankyou so much Maria :)
Nice! A long episode. Love it
