Funfact: Originally Ashe was just an antagonist for the Cowboy for this short and the short was intended as an announcement for Echo (robot lady). But when the developers saw Ashe they loved her so much they made her a playable character, and pushed Echo back to a later date.
Can see why. Ashe is great 😍🤩
Not true, they announced Ashe playable the same they day they published the cinematic, and even had a small gameplay trailer to it ,there was no way they new the community feedback on her.
@@Phoenixillusion18 And as I said it was the *developers* who saw the cinematic (made by the art team) first and then decided to make Ashe a character because *they* (the developers) liked the character the art team invented so much.

I just love how McCree set it all up since he tipped off the Deadlock Gang about the Train, probably because he didn't think he could get Echo by himself.

His ultimate line in the game is "It's high noon," which is why they emphasized the clock before the fight goes down. I always loved how they're able to perfectly capture the essence of the character and really make the world around them highlight that

Their chemistry is very charming and Ashe was an interesting character that was introduced, and of course, the partner that was kind of teased.

Fun fact: Mcreee or ashe i think have a voice line when they spawn in the café saying "i would not recommend the coffee here "

I absolutely adore this cinematic. That standoff was so epic when I first watched it, and I never saw the last part with McCree driving by for the longest time.
I love the chemistry between the two, and this cinematic helped turn McCree from "generic cowboy" in my mind to "honorable gunslinger with a not-so-honorable past".

Everyone talks about Mcree/Cassidy's chemistry with Ashe and I'm definitely here for it, but nobody talks about the way he looks at and talks to Echo. Such a gentleman, gosh I love them together too.

When they revealed this at Blizzcon they made it in such a way so that the time hit high noon in the cinematic and în real live în a state (i forgot witch one exactly).
They sure pay attention to small details and nail them.

Red eyes and white hair is like green ase and redhead. Always good choise for women character disign. Never a mistake.
Ashes comes from a rich family but she was still basically left on her own, with only Bob, her butler omnic, to look out for her. Eventually she abandoned her aristocratic life in order live how she wanted and make her own family of sorts. Her, B.O.B., and McRee were part of the founders of her Gang (the Deadlock gang). Their one big rule tho was to never sell out, as in accept death or imprisonment over joining the other side, and when McRee got captured by Overwatch he decided to join them instead of rotting in prison, so Ashe hasn’t forgiven him. They were never a couple, just Ashes found family
Would love to see more Cinematics on their story. Maybe a whole short movie 😊🤩😍

The devs said Ashe and McCree never happened, the picture is more so that mccree was basically her only human friend, and despite wanting to kill him, as it was his fault alot if bad things happened to her gang, she could never actually do it

The Devs can be wrong you know LOL. Their chemistry is undeniable. As well, it's speculated that they're shipped around the office, and even Michael Chu (despite his word against them being together not meaning much, anyhow) has slipped up on it. They just don't confirm it because of the fans.

@@KunLunKungFu They don't confirm it because they want to leave the lore open for when they create the actual story mode in overwatch 2. They've retconned things in the past like dva being a pro starcraft player to being a pro to some futuristic vr game.
You know Mccree's ultimate is coming when you hear "it's high noon" or ashe's ultimate "B.O.B! Do something!"

Great reaction you guys! Before watching “Zero Hour” you should watch all the origin stories. It will clarify a lot about the Overwatch storyline and they are really short as well. You can do all of them in two parts. Once again great reaction keep it up!

I never noticed the red eyes before but considering how she has white hair I assume Ashe is albino and typically albino animals, and humans alike, tend to have red eyes.

McCree was inspired heavily by Clint Eastwood from his Western days when he was younger. The music and this animation were good call backs to that.

Yeah it’s a cool little add on video they did that was fun that we’re glad we saw but it didn’t have many views compared to other OW vids so not surprised if some people are catching it for first time 🙂

They were def a couple before in the past. McCree not only tipped them off to the train, but he use to be a part of the Deadlock gang. If you go back and look, right when he takes Ashe's motorcycle, there is a photo of a young McCree and Ashe on the gauge. And McCree was technically in Overwatch on the Black Ops teams, aka Blackwatch that was lead by Reaper. Who originally ran Overwatch during the war, then had his shine stolen from him by the guy that was put in charge, his best friend.
Really want a story on just them and their last 😍🙂

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Added bonus, since the game came out, everybody tries to get Matthew Mercer (McCree's VA) to say his signature line "It's High Noon" but he has done it so much over the years that he hates to do it, so this was a cool way to have it be High Noon without him saying the line also

Not sure if it’s been said, but your question about why Ashe is a thief/bad guy, she comes from a very wealthy family who gave her all she wanted, so she’s sorta a rebel at heart and she’s out to prove that she can make it on her own without her family name. That’s generally her gist.

There’s very good video explaining all the apex lore and lore on the characters called every single apex legend explained if you are still watching apex stuff

You can also watch character's origins. There are very short videos (1/2 minutes) who explain a little more origins of characters (The best one being the one on the character of Sigma) and they're very well made as those animations.

the whole eye thing in my opinion is a little cosmetic choice based off of anime design. usually in anime characters with white hair have golden or red eyes because it sorta fits color wise, it pops and stands out.

the part about the red eyes thats an albino thing you may have seen allot of albino animals having red eyes and even in humans if you have albinism you normally have blue eyes but some times your blood vessels inside your eyes will show though the colored parts in your eye and make the eyes look pink or red

Ashe and Mccree were the leaders of the deadlock gang, I think Ashe had a big crush on him, im not so sure the other way around.. But then The cowboy had an offer to join blackwatch becasue of his qualities, and "clear" his name as a rebel...

Some people say that Ashe is albino, that's why her eyes are red and her hair is white. Idk if that's true or not
Albinos are typically rather sensitive to sunlight, which Ashe proves she isn't in the ending for Reunion and for the majority of Road Trip
