Soldier 76 was at one point the Leader of Overwatch Jack Morrison. When Overwatch was shut down and their headquarters attacked and blown up, it was believed he died inside. Pretty much living on rage and resentment now, he's gone full Vigilante with a bit of a lean towards justice by any means rather than by the book. Hence when asked why he saved her he replied with "Old habits die hard I guess."
He started as a Captain America/Superman kinda hero, a symbol of hope for everyone to look up to, someone people can admire After Overwatch was shut down, more specifically after his fight with Gabriel Reyes, the man who would one day become Reaper, Jack was forced to leave, he went rogue, essentially becoming the Batman of their universe, turning from the light to fight evil in the darkness And just like Batman, he prioritizes innocent lives above all else

Note about the Visor: It's a tactical visor, and the way he used it in the short is essentially how it's used in the game. It's a super-ability with a long cooldown that basically gives him a few seconds of auto-aim - if there's a target on the screen, you don't need to aim at them, the game will just shoot at them automatically. "I've got you in my sights..."
I know it's been a whole year but I haven't seen anyone mention that the poster Alejandra looks at at the start of the cinematic and then takes home at the end is a poster of Jack/Soldier 76 when he was younger during the Overwatch days.
It may already have been mentioned or you may already know, but there's a bunch of shorter backstory ones called "Origins", including one for this guy (Soldier 76). They can help give some additional background on some of the characters seen in the shorts. Glad to see another Overwatch video from you guys though! Can't wait for when you see "Dragons" and "Honor and Glory"
When designing characters, one if the original creators showed a comic series he was drawing/writing behind the scenes. Soldier 76 was designed based off of the main character from that comic. So his comic (which was just a hobby) is forever a main character in such a big game
Your gonna love the Overwatch cinematic series, so many great ones in there. By the time it's finished it's quite difficult to choose your favourite ones as they are all so good :). I will say Dragons is alot peoples favourite.

In my opinion, soldier 76 is a mix of Cyclops (X-Men), Captain America and the Punisher, he is an antihero instead of a shield he uses a rifle and his visor is like Cyclops' glasses, they undoubtedly made a great combination

The Overwatch animated shorts are all really good, though my personal favorite is "Dragons." BTW, you should totally react to the soundtrack for the Ace Combat games. You know what? There are also fatality-like executions in For Honor that you watched before. Every character in the game has like 6-10 executions but they take really short to react. I highly suggest you look into it guys. Peace :D

You may want to try "Warhammer 40,000 The New Edition Cinematic Trailer" Warhammer universe is immerse and solid reputation as being a grim-dark, high-gothic genre. Pretty darn good overall. Also "Astartes" a video series created by one man is fairly famous due to it's insane quality and dedication. Heck he even hired by GW (parent company of warhammer)

Soldier76 (Jack Morrison) in fact is based on Clint Eastwood, he even got voiceline in game from Gran Torino "Young punks, get off my lawn" funny thing tho is that while playing and someone escapes my sights i found myself grwoling just like him (the moment when he spotted guy on truck who pulled that minigun out of PINIATAs now, NO SPOILER info-zone: place where this scene happens is a in game map, its in Mexico and it name is Dorado... this bakery is in one corner of it, you can literally play on every single location from overwatch shorts (exept bastion one, tho at one point you see a castle in middle of forest where you can play, this castle (Eichenwalde) is a playable map and its a scene for another animated short!) Soldier76 is watching this bakery for a reason he is looking for someone that favours this bakery and buys there... a certain mexican hacker girl she lives and has a base of operations in a nearby town of Castillo, that you can see literally from the place where Soldier76 appeared last time in cinematic looking at Micha going home safely when you play at Castillo you can stand on the edge of map and see Dorado too Blizzard intertwined their maps and stories really well, thare are a tons of references to other heroes or places or animated shorts Castillo (this smaller map right next to Dorado from this particular short) is a map lore-bomb for players, where 4 heroes (5 including S76 closing in on it) are involved and left traces of their existence there McCree was drinking in a bar there and both Junkers were also in another corner of this bar planning one of their huge world heist spree stunts... and this hacker girl was there investigating McCree at the same time so yea Soldier in this video combats a local gang called Los Muertos, they tatoo themselves with fluorescent ink, so they look cool... they are more or less typical criminals, gangsters of Mexico oh, yea and the moon stuff YES, there is a base there... one Monkey is from there...ekhm, sorry A SCIENTIST and other hero is also from there... one little troublesome one that choosed to live among junkers so guys, watch not only animated shorts, but also ORIGIN STORIES, the explain more about heroes (also few that have no cinemac shorts yet) and their backgrounds... You know what? There are also fatality-like executions in For Honor that you watched before. Every character in the game has like 6-10 executions but they take really short to react. I highly suggest you look into it guys. Peace :D

You may want to try "Warhammer 40,000 The New Edition Cinematic Trailer" Warhammer universe is immerse and solid reputation as being a grim-dark, high-gothic genre. Pretty darn good overall. Also "Astartes" a video series created by one man is fairly famous due to it's insane quality and dedication. Heck he even hired by GW (parent company of warhammer)

now, NO SPOILER info-zone:
place where this scene happens is a in game map, its in Mexico and it name is Dorado... this bakery is in one corner of it, you can literally play on every single location from overwatch shorts (exept bastion one, tho at one point you see a castle in middle of forest where you can play, this castle (Eichenwalde) is a playable map and its a scene for another animated short!)
Soldier76 is watching this bakery for a reason
he is looking for someone that favours this bakery and buys there... a certain mexican hacker girl
she lives and has a base of operations in a nearby town of Castillo, that you can see literally from the place where Soldier76 appeared last time in cinematic looking at Micha going home safely
when you play at Castillo you can stand on the edge of map and see Dorado too
Blizzard intertwined their maps and stories really well, thare are a tons of references to other heroes or places or animated shorts
Castillo (this smaller map right next to Dorado from this particular short) is a map lore-bomb for players, where 4 heroes (5 including S76 closing in on it) are involved and left traces of their existence there
McCree was drinking in a bar there and both Junkers were also in another corner of this bar planning one of their huge world heist spree stunts... and this hacker girl was there investigating McCree at the same time
so yea
Soldier in this video combats a local gang called Los Muertos, they tatoo themselves with fluorescent ink, so they look cool... they are more or less typical criminals, gangsters of Mexico

i dont know if you research this on your own, or someone has done a list ow WOW videos in order
but each WOW expansion starting from Lich king has in game cutscenes that are great to watch and expand on each new addition (usually big game patches) to whole series
maybe after reacting to trailers (because you propably alredy recorded reactions you could do some for additional series for each expansion and cutscenes
because Overwatch got cinematic shorts, origin stories... few comics and few books
WOW is much more complex, it has a lot of miniseries, in game cinematics and trailers
if you would like some help i could compile a list expansion after expansion of things to see

- like ORDER, whos representatives are TITANS and their armies are stone and metal constructs, guardians of all sorts, they use ARCANE MAGIC
- like DEATH, whos leader is (SPOILERS NOT GOING TO TELL YOU :D ) and their armies are obviously undead, they use NECROMANCY
- like LIFE, whos known leader and representatives are Eonar (who is a TITAN at the same time)
- like DISORDER whos leaders are VOID LORDS and representatives are OLD GODS and armies are of FLESH, they use VOID/SHADOW MAGIC
- like LIGHT whos leaders we dont know, their representatives are NAARU and races that cooperate are living on our planet and use LIGHT MAGIC
you get the pattern, just look at maps
these forces fight among themselves and ally with themselves if one of them becomes too dominant

even and by becoming one of them..... his order was to stop Lich King .... he did set himself free from this influence and became free agent,
Lich King is enchanted in to helmet (HELM OF DOMINATION) that work in pair with a cursed sword "FROSTMOURNE"... this sword calls to Arthas specifically...
this was goal of Malganis to bring Arthas to Northrend (cold continent as sword and helmet were there)...
this sword corrupts Arthas and Helm of Domination starts to call him to claim it
Illidan Stormrage tries to stop this as it is his pact goal
