This is the old Randy Orton song for WWE. My son has muscular dystrophy and before the concert in Liverpool a few years back they had a meet and greet with him before the gig. They put him on the stage to the right so he could sit in his wheelchair and watch the concert as close as he could be to them. Chad and the band were amazing to my son. Got a ton of photos from that night, before, during and after the gig.
They played this song at the closing ceremony at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. Critics were worried that people would take it literally……….oh the humanity of it all.
Unfortunately, when someone says they dislike a band you’ll get a load of sheep who follow without actually knowing why and this is the case with Nickelback. They have some great songs and live they are totally blinding!! This though is my absolute fave.
People dislike them because of they tuning they used on their instruments. They used pretty much used the equivalent of instrument autotune even live. I mean I love them too and they do have great songs but that’s why people who like music dislike them.

They came out in the 90's when experimenting with sounds was taking off... grunge, different styles of metal, boybands, hiphop exploding on the scene etc. Meanwhile released a bland opening line of "look at this photograph, every time i do it makes me laugh." It was just boring to most younger people at the time. So i understand the hate. The problem is, the masses didnt hear song like this, because the band had already commercially gone a different way. In the end though, they created a persona that made them very successful, and a lot of money. So i guess the real question was, who are the real winners?
I went to a concert with Nickleback, Shinedown, and Breaking Benjamin in 2009. The arena was sold out and it was a concert I’ll never forget! It was loud and hard and I loved every single minute of it!

Saw them at Calgary Stampede with my grown daughters. They used to listen to Nickelback when I drove them to dance, so they took me to Stampede to see them. Nickleback blew the roof off the Saddledome, and they ended the concert with this. All of us were on our feet screaming to the lyrics. You could feel the concrete shake with the stomping feet. If they played this in a cemetery, you would see skeletons clawing their way out to rock one last time to it.
Whole lot of people at their shows for people to not like them lol "All the Right Reasons" The album also made Nickelback the first band in Nielsen BDS history to have 5 singles on the CHR charts, one of the best albums ever! "Animals" yea! and hard to beat "Shaking Hands" from the next album lol.
i think the reason why this song rules so much is that its just pure, unfiltered, party energy, the “chiller” part of the song sounds like one of your friends making it up as they go cause you forced them onto the stage, and compared to other songs like how you remind me and photograph, you can play it and get everybody hyped up

Nickleback is a '90s/'00s post-grunge band. They along with a lot of other post-grunge bands gets a bad rap, because almost a lot of them started sounding the same to each other. Overplayed on radio and MTV over the years. Country rock sounding music and vocals, kind of twangy, as if they are trying to sound like Pearl Jam (Vedder) or Soundgarden (Cornell), and a lot of their songs/videos can be pretty sad, depressing, whiney. Staind, Puddle of Mudd, Creed (uplifting band though), Bush (heavier and more upbeat, and British accent though), Hoobastank, 3 Doors Down, Three Days Grace, Audioslave, Fuel, Shinedown, Candlebox, Live, Collective Soul, and many more. A lot of these bands are from the south, too, which might explain it. But, a lot of it is still pretty good, though. I don't mind it much. Unless they overplay their songs. lol Early grunge was much more punk rock influenced, heavier, slower version of punk rock (late '80s - mid '90s). Used to be more underground. Some kept the same sound, style. Other bands that followed during the 'late '90s to '00s started changing the sound a little (post-grunge), which sounds a little more like country rock, hard rock. Kind of twangy. Became very mainstream. Anyways. Check out more Nickleback videos. Like "Leader of Men", "How You Remind Me", "Photograph", "Far Away", "Rockstar", etc. Good , successful band in my opinion, I dont care what people say lol. Nickleback has some fun songs. I grew up in a small town close to where these guys grew up and believe me just to keep from dying of boredom we used to drink a lot and do a lot of crazy shit. I don't why Nickelback gets so much hate. It seems like all the hate for them is about their music, not how the lead singer acts, which doesn't make sense. They have a lot of good songs. I like the heavier ones, like, Never Again, which is about him protecting an abused woman. But they still have a bunch of good songs. And they are good live as well.
I actually never heard Chad's personality or behavior being the reason that people talk shit about Nickelback. The criticisms have always been about the music itself (too "mainstream", the stuff that is popular from the radio is different from the heavier stuff they started out and initially got popular doing).
Been backstage with these guys, sincere guys, nothing like Axel. Friend managed these guys. Got hated because of extraordinary success and rumours that followed. The haters can tell you about every song. Axel, wow……got stories from record executives while on a private jet to Florida that explained the year long breakup of GNR.

This ban gets a lot of hate, mostly because people think they're way too generic for some of their slower more mellow radio friendly songs, but by and large they have a library of some rocker tune, this isn't even the heaviest of what they've done. I would recommend that you explore more of this band, and while perhaps the lead singer's behavior is a bit questionable at times, it definitely doesn't take away from how much fun and energy is in their music.

I don't why Nickelback gets so much hate. It seems like all the hate for them is about their music, not how the lead singer acts, which doesn't make sense. They have a lot of good songs. I like the heavier ones, like, Never Again, which is about him protecting an abused woman. But they still have a bunch of good songs. And they are good live as well.

I actually never heard Chad's personality or behavior being the reason that people talk shit about Nickelback. The criticisms have always been about the music itself (too "mainstream", the stuff that is popular from the radio is different from the heavier stuff they started out and initially got popular doing).

This ban gets a lot of hate, mostly because people think they're way too generic for some of their slower more mellow radio friendly songs, but by and large they have a library of some rocker tune, this isn't even the heaviest of what they've done. I would recommend that you explore more of this band, and while perhaps the lead singer's behavior is a bit questionable at times, it definitely doesn't take away from how much fun and energy is in their music.
