Um, no. Did you not hear the short? Ned is never hobgoblin, he is framed to be such. Therefor it’d be dumb for them to try to do that with the MCU, unless another hobgoblin character frames ned to be a villian

But if the movies wanna get worse, sure, keep pushing for it. And I’m not saying just based off the comics, but marvel at least base it close to marvels agenda instead of making some comic relief a villian for no reason

Betty will die in the future because of spider man and this will spark ned on becoming the hobgoblin 100%.
In the no way home movie green goblins mask was shattered in a alley way and at the last fight scenes green goblin did not have the mask, so this means, Betty will die because of spiderman, ned gets angry that betty died, the mask talks to ned while passing by the alley way, he picks up the mask and he becomes hobgoblin.
