- Part 1 of 2 comparing the 350 and 500 cast iron Bullets. Comparing how they match up to each other out on the road.

No Bullets were fired, or harmed, during the making of these films.
I've never wanted an old Enfield more! Love just chuffing around the lanes.
Lovely smooth machine. I never hear the shifting -unlike my Bullet, which clunks up and down. Must be operator error on my part. Thank for the vid.
@MrMomo182 These have a completely different gearbox to your UCE!
Thanks Mr Brown, that bike sounds great at low revs, you can almost count them and it's making as much noise sucking as it is blowing out! When you changed gear on the wee hill and it just kept chugging up, any modern bike would have stalled. I'll watch the 500 video tomorrow. Cheers, Mick
It's a willing old horse!😁
Second viewing of this video. Good winter work-horse. Impressive! Keep 'em coming VB.
Happy new year, 👍
@kevinchapman4408 I have tried watching it twice and it still won't go any faster!! Happy new year to you too!
😂
Every one who watches your videos should hit the thumbs up button.
@frankmarkovcijr5459 And the subscribe button!
They should have kept the old ones in production for the export market. Really love the Kickstarter. Nice bike but I love 💕 my BSA C-15 250 singles. Of course I love 💕 all my motorcycles from my 250 -my 883 Harley Davidson Sportster 1999 .l keep all my bikes. They all have a forever ♾️ home 🏠.
I totally agree!
They kept the 500 UCE engine in production till 2020 I think. A very good engine/gearbox it is (disclosure: Ive got the Trials version ). It also has a fully functional kick-start as well as the electric boot. No carburettor though...fuel injected. Otherwise a nice basic big single. Emissions killed it off I believe.
@@keithpearson7539 Yes, I know, I have 3 UCE 500's!!😁
@@Volcanicbrown1878But did @frankmarkovcijr?
@@keithpearson7539 Don't know!
Great. What a joy that was.
Glad you enjoyed it
Speedo calibration aside 27 on the sign & 30 on the bikes reasonably close, my green 500 iron barrel bullet reads 20mph over when yourr exercising the right wrist. But my black 500 iron barrel bullets pretty much spot on, I've checked them against the wifes sat nav.
The speedo on the 350 is just a cheap replica from India. I changed it from the original because it was in KM and because I'm old school, I like MPH!
I to prefer mph reading speedo's & would love to fit genuine chronometrics to both my bullets, but they are too expensive to purchase now.@@Volcanicbrown1878
I have seen original Chrono's change hands for £400+!
I KNEW you'd prefer the 350...! ; )
@russtaylor2122 How did you work that out?!!
@@Volcanicbrown1878 Having ridden both models myself, the tiddler is freer revving, runs better low down, just sweeter where you use them most, ie, up to fiftyish... Neither of them want to be on a motorway... Let's face it, i had a 50/50 split! ; )
@@russtaylor2122Excellent comment! My view is the same as yours! 😁😁
@@Volcanicbrown1878 Yeah, i could tell that from your running commentary too! Ego aside, generally the smaller models are more instinctive. My old R80G/S was nicer than the 1000cc BMW's. Your ride-alongs are better than others because you show the horizon in shot. Quite important that, as of course we're watching the road ahead like you are...!
THE ONLY THING, that annoys me about my 1980s bullet ( I still have the magazine "silver machine " which had the , an?, original road test of the bullet, 1980? ) The only thing that annoys me is the rattly tappets ( exhaust ) .. I modified the rocker bock different material , oil flow , needle roller bearings Im not convinced its the cam shaft spindle cam gear back lash ,, im thinking valve "rock" other than that ... gasoline in kms out ... pretty much first kick ..... I do love the bullets as they are not old, but are old tech and were cheap... a daily driver classic bike ,,,
Might be worth checking the exhaust valve guide for wear and it is not unheard of for valve seats to come loose in the head.
Lovely video but very sad to hear that story about your mate.
So sad
I lost 2 cousins in motorcycle accidents. Fingers crossed....
@GapBahnDirk I have lost countless friends in motorcycle accidents over the years. It go's with the territory
Terrible story about your mate. That 350 moves really nicely.👍. You aren’t having a lot of luck so far with the Interceptor. Hope it improves once you get it back.
I can only hope!
Oh no! First😀
Thump, thump, thump, thump or as they say in India Dug,dug, dug, dug.
I would love to own a new Dodge Challenger or Daytona & I like their cut 4cylinders off around Town.
@ruahinesrider Or Bud Bud Bud Bud as we say in Suffolk! If its the Indian version!
@ruahinesrider I think Dodge have announced that this is the last year of the big V8's. Replacement is a V6.
