  • After a lot of research, I originally purchased a KUIU Yukon rain jacket. However, after some initial testing I found that the cuff design of the Yukon caused your lower arms to get wet VERY easily. Ironically, when water flows over the rubber cuffs it tends to roll over the edges and eventually collect in the lowest point... pouring back into the arm holes every time you put your hands higher than your elbows. I would never have predicted this had I not extensively tested it myself. To make matters worse, the inside fabric of the Yukon tends to wick moisture and dries very slowly. Not a good situation. As a result, I ended up getting a First Lite SEAK jacket and did similar water testing that the SEAK passed with flying colors. The SEAK is a bit more crinkly and does not have the soft and stretchy feel of the Yukon, but when you're looking for a jacket that keeps you dry, it was my first choice. The SEAK jacket in this review was Cipher camo and the Yukon was Vias. Hope this helps in your own research!
