The Chugach will keep you dry for a short period. In prolonged damp/ wet conditions the fabric gets saturated and you will get wet. Still an excellent set though for days when you may get a few showers.
I love the kuiu gear. I try my best to take advantage when they have sales. It saves me a few dollars. I believe it was 30% off its original price during Labor Day sale.
I don’t have a horse in this race, but I will say I think kuiu’s camo is MUCH better than Sitka’s gore optifade; way too much gray and white and not enough green and brown. Verde is honestly a pretty nice pattern
Thanks for the review. You said you're 6ft 170lbs and got a medium correct? I am just under 6'1" and around 180. I will range between 175-185. Do you think a Large would be too big?
I think it depends on how much you want to put under the jacket. If you want to wear it with very little under the jacket. You could do the medium, but if you want to layer, I would go with a medium. They let you exchange for a small charge for a different size.
Thanks for the time to put this together for us. Struggling with the cost of high end rain gear myself.

Getting it on sale is a lot better. So far I really like it. Can’t wait for the season to start!

Yeah I’m not a big fan of Sitka’s camo patterns. Verde should be a good early season pattern or turkey hunting.
@@SufferingOutdoors yeah that’s definitely a solid pattern. First lite’s Spector is pretty solid too
