G'day everyone - This was a very modest room in a very modest old school guesthouse in Phnom Penh. The place is run by our mate so look him up! It is in an amazing location so close to all the action on the riverfront! And for the price you get an awesome old school TV!

Location Location Location! Although the Navin Guesthouse is cheap and cheerful - you cannot beat the location! And just so you know, we were referring to the Preliminary Final between Brisbane and Carlton in September 2023 - yep, that is how long ago we were there! What was your favourite thing about this hotel? Surely has to be the TV!
Thank you for the security warnings on the river front... Have heard various things about that area before too...
Cheers LJ - we always knew there was dodgy stuff happening here and there on the river front but not to that extent. Just stay sharp and keep your eyes peeled and you should be sweet!

Hahah that would have been magic! Havent seen one of those in years! I wonder if Cambodia had their own unique test pattern...one with an Angkor Wat shape in it?
I prefer the older larger places... Modern places feel like prison cells... LOVE the security windows too💪
Hey LJ - yeah there is something cool about the old buildings there hey. Much more character and it feels like you are stepping back in time a little. The new places which some are amazing..don't give that feeling of really travelling...if that makes sense. Those security bars were great hehe!! Aint no one climbing in there haha! @@MarcsMildlyInteresting Our Go-Go retirement years begin in 2027, hopefully 10 to 15 years until Slow-Go then 10 years (until 90yo), then No-Go.
I did well-paid work after uni (Arabic and German) then retired at 42 in the south of France and did a part-time job until retiring properly at 62 this January. The Mrs. (met at our council estate comprehensive school school in UK, married 1984) is still working as hands-on nurse ❤️👍.

It gets me that in this Day and age THAT the PP Police force isn't cracking down on the said "Gangs" down at the river front/bank, yer i know don't go there BUT there will be Barang/Farang that are unaware of these Pr-cks/Thieves. If i was a skeptic i would think the PP PF was allegedly involved in some way.😇🤕
G'day Steve - From all reports (well anecdotally anyways) PP is much better than it use to be. I suppose Cambodia is a place where things will catch up eventually - and cracking down on some of this scallywag behaviour will be one of them. Unil then yeah just hope tourists apply the same common sense in PP as they would at home. I.e. don't wander down dark alleys drunk at 3am, stay away from seedy parts of town in the small hours, keep your wits about you if walking around at night etc. Hope you haven't been on the receiving end of anything untoward before mate?

Honestly for the price its great.. I dont spend anytime in my room apart from sleeping anyway.. certainly dont watch tv.
Agree 100% mate! For us this is exactly how we used the room too. Dropped our bags and went out and about. Only came back to the room to sleep! Perfect when in a central location like this as well! Cheers!!
