I went through the exact same with my1015PEM. That dialog would pop up no matter how often I closed it and the computer would eventually slow to a crawl till it became nonfunctional. I eventually worked around it by using the Windows repair function, and that made it accept the Microsoft ACPI instead of the Asus version. This worked out well except the button, on the upper left that controls low power/high performance and WiFi/Bluetooth, is now nonfunctional. Did your fix leave you with that button functioning correctly? Wonder if there is a way to configure Windows ACPI (hotkey) to see that button... Thanks for putting this up.
Hi. I got the very same model . I upgraded to Windows 10. because the reasons you mention with windows 7. I had no luck like you and mine is slower than a turtle to load anything. What do you suggest it can be done?. Is there any chance that I can change the motherboard for one compatible with the current carcass and windows 11?
I tried this on a 1005PX and somehow I needed to additionally install drivers because it wouldn't do it automatically. After that it was quite laggy but I think it's because I'm using an old crappy mechanical drive, not an SSD. I think I'mma put Linux on this instead.
What graphics card driver did you use? I have the issue that not all win10 pop-up boxes display correctly and it is sometimes difficult to select the options which are cut as the bottom of the pop-up is not displayed. Try change the Windows performances options.
You could explain to me in writing how you got it. I have tried to install the Windows 10 boot on my asus eee pc but it does not work. Would you be of great help
Have same Asus 1005HAB(PC) and uploaded Win10 but does not recognize mouse I was using (Razor Lachesis 5600dpi) on Win7 or another I tried-Microsoft Basic Optical Mousev2.0)-Asus site who led me to run a touchpad application (synaptics;_v14_0_16 setup.exe file)but did not help. I really need a mouse with this for a game where objects are moved-my hands just don't work well with touch pad. Any suggestions? I use Chrome. Other than this I am enjoying 10
I tried this with my old 1005HA with 2GB ram and new-ish SSD. Win7 Pro was much more responsive than Win10 Pro (even after doing as many tweaks as i could)
My ASUSTEK Eee PC 1005HA w/x86 Intel Atom N270 @ 1.56Hz w/ 4GB DDR2 633MHz RAM is telling me this during Windows 10 Home x86 install after a whole bunch of copying files it is not 64-bit CPU (complaining about winload something or other), so I go back and choose 32-bit Windows 10 install. AGAIN & AGAIN & AGAIN & etc. ad nauseum ad infinitum . . . Okay, so I have done that at least half-a-baker's-dozen times in these last few painful hours of, "YESY! I did pick 32-bit x86 install and it say "x86" on the build when I chose Home each time. What Gives? Now What?
@@ganzonomy It didn't work on the first go. I have too much going on this past year, so it may sit a while before I sort it out. I bought 800MHz LPDDR2 instead of the 640MHz listed by Asus.
Windows 10 install drive (there are lots of videos how to make one) ram upgrade to 2 gb if yours is 1gb, and for own good ssd drive istead of hdd (sorry for my english)
Spoiler alert: it's not worth it Better install Windows 7, home premium for example or windows 8.1 if you don't need Metro UI apps. Then you won't have performance problems and you'll have all propper drivers
I just did the upgrade on my Asus 1005HA and I am super impressed with performance! Very good. Only thing left is my memory upgrade to 2 GB RAM.
Did you upgrade the ssd ?
I installed Windows 10 to my 1005ha but it's become even slower... Will it run better if I upgrade Ram to 2gb?
Tried to install Windows 10 on my 1005Ha, but the install always stops halfway through because the Atom CPU lacks NX support. How did you bypass that?

Where do you download the drivers for that netbook?

I use an old Logitech M305 wireless mouse with mine... works just fine. Plugged it in and it automatically installed the drivers
NeonFailz, I believe it is 667Mhz Samsung RAM. body crunch, glad to hear your system runs better on Windows 10
drev can I upgrade my Toshiba L655-S150 HM55 Chipset to i3-2310m
+leobardo martell S5150 sorry
leobardo martell L655-S5150 with the HM55 chipset can support 1st gen iCore CPU's. So you could do the i3-330M, but not the i3-2310M(as it is 2nd gen)
And How can I know what gen is the CPU
Lets take i3's for example. 1st gen is i3-3##M, 2nd gen is i3-23##M, 3rd gen is i3-33##M, etc.
Oye amigo me interesa saber si a esa laptop se le puede cambiar el procesador por uno mejor?
No se puede viene soldado
What about the resolution? Just 800x600. Asus don´t have Windows 10 drivers....How to fix it?
My resolution is 1024x600 on this system. I don't remember installing any video drivers off hand, but it has been a while since I did this upgrade.
I know this is old but the 32 bit windows 7 drivers work fine for me.
Can I use the old widows 7 drivers for windows 10? thanks man.
Yes
can i download to my asus eee pc ? and how do you download it its only supports windows 7 starter pls comment fast 1 gb RAM ?
I tried this with my old 1005HA with 2GB ram and new-ish SSD. Win7 Pro was much more responsive than Win10 Pro (even after doing as many tweaks as i could)
Any issue with the camera?
camera works fine. Definitely look up "how to make windows 10 faster" and apply those changes. It helps out quite a bit.
1005hag?
