    If replacing the 1-2 accumulator piston/housing, go ahead and obtain the Sonnex electrical connector blocker bracket. This keeps the transmission's internal electrical harness connector from being pushed to the inside of the transmission. My 1993 lost all the retaining finger clips (five of them) due to 30 years of plastic degradation.
    I dropped the pan, replaced the whole harness, and all the solenoids while in there...
    And if the truck makes it another thirty years and the new harness plug loses its retaining fingers? The Sonnax bracket will keep it in-place.

    I have a hard shift in my chevy 93 k1500. It's not like crazy violent or anything like you mentioned in your 2 videos I watched. It's just enough to bug me so I am going to try fix this 1-2 hard shift issue. It shifts flawlessly in the other gears so I tried just switching the tps and that actually helped a little bit. Thanks for the video. I've seen more then a few people with this issue on youtube. Never have I experienced it myself till I bough a used truck

      Hi, did the new 1-2 accumulator fix the hard shift for you? Ive had the same problem changed out 3 tps sensors. 1 of them made it work a hair better. but still hard shift, i changed all 4 solenoids no luck, Im about to try this if it worked for you.

      @@puppet-m I will be changing it when my parts come in from rockauto and Amazon. I really hope it fixes the hard shift. I don't want to have to pull the transmission and try do a rebuild myself but I will if I have to. I ordered the sonax 1-2 pinless accumulator, a & b shift solenoids, wix filter and rubber pan gasket. I'm kinda thinking it's the forward accumulator though also. But I don't want to have to take the valve body out and do all the other required work. It's doable just going to try this fix first. Truck is due for new atf anyways and filter. I have 93 chevy with a 4l60e but it's kind of the half way point in between being fully electronic and half hydraulic. Old style. The in between point before having full electronic. If that makes sense lol 😆

    I ordered a new one and gonna go ahead and replace it with a new gasket and new oil pan again. I've already replaced the filter, filter seal, filler tube and top hat seal, fuel injectors, spark plug and wires, evap solenoid and canister, all vacuum tubes that were hissing, valve cover gaskets, (but I'm replacing them with the upgraded covers soon), intake manifold gaskets,oil pressure switch sensor, O2 sensors, air filters( the cabin one is a b**** because you have to cut an access and install a new plate, fair warning), coolant reservoir, on my 2008 Silverado 1500 that has 180,000 miles on it. I got more work to do, like coolant/water exchange tube mounts and head plug mounts, suspension, all brakes and rotors. It needs a new engine oil pan gasket and I got the new oil deflector and oil cooler tub cap gasket and O-ring too, but maybe I should get an oil pump for good measure and ask the dealership to install it since the warranty covers it anyway? I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a mechanic and don't know what I'm fully doing sometimes s, which is why I have a Haynes manual and consult my cousin and mechanic friends a lot, but I am having a ball! 😂😂. The only thing that scares me is when I was refilling my transmission with Castrol dexron 6 transmission oil, a quart of Castrol dexron 3 got added, or was it 2? Should I be worried? I was told it's not a big deal and they are backwards compatible, but I'm a stickler for details and instructions, unless otherwise needed in situations that don't show by the book repairs as an option.

      Nooo you sound like me when i got this 99 4.8 4x4 z85, was like welp here we go poor the truck is falling apart around me. family health and my own, moving forward, I have definitely red that dex cross ref. V or VI same I dont evern keep up with the Super Bowl Xs and Vs never got into it lol. I would just change the it again IMO but I would have done the same ...change it. lol I like burning money. hope its gone well. Love you guys that are still working on your own shit, take care!

      @johnlee8734 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Update : the new pan has seemed to have done the trick and they said not to worry since I used dexron 3 since dexron 6 is backwards compatible. I drained and refilled it and it seems okay.

    Can a shift solenoid cause a hard shift in low rpm’s when in 1st gear going to 2nd? I have this problem it has a transgo hd2 shift kit, servo, new transmission fluid filter, 1-2 accumulator, I’ve tried a new tps sensor and still shifts hard in 1st gear?

    My 2015 Silverado does 1-2 hard shifts , I discovered that my engine moved when switching from parking to drive to reverse etc , and changed the motor mounts and it helped but you can still feel it , I read one of your comments , you think u joints can cause it ? @@terryarthurs548 ok i'm having this happen too, i haven't checked yet, but we think its the torque converter, its not locking up like it should. mine feels like loss of power almost and the suspension flops, IN MY CASE, we think its the TC not locking up can is going to damage the rest of the trans. one of my other videos talks about the TCC valve, which can give more pressure for a better shift. maybe this helps?
