Hey! I just want to say thank you for this video! My Suburban would randomly slip and hunt while in gear. I did the transmission relearn on a Solus and the damn thing shifts like a dream now. Thanks again for posting this video!

2009 Silverado 2500hd 4wd with 6l90. Won't stay in lock-up above 3rd gear. 1st thru 3rd are ok as long as I shift manually. Suspect it's in the solenoids but fluid was very dark when serviced 2 weeks ago.

I have a 2011 Tahoe with the 6l80. Rpms go up and down at a stop and then has delayed shift to first at take off ni then after that it shifts smooth ans runs good only thing is engine sounds rough. But the weird part is that it only does it sometimes. If it was mechanical internal it would never stop doing it. Engine running rough too. No codes. Could you think of anything I can look at before I go chop and hand my Netherlands to a transmission shop.

Trans would be driving a long and change gears and then start slipping and stop driving forward. So i changed the strainer and fluid look like it got worse and now drive forward or reverse. So park it while trying to locate another one. 2 months go by I went to crank it. And if in move backwards and forward and changed gears. But I'm afraid to drive it for fear of it stopping. Any suggestions as to what it could be doing.

I have a 2012 Silverado 1500 and the other day my Wife turned the AC on, the transmission started shuddering between 2nd and 3rd gears. The weather here has been pretty hot, so I checked my transmission temperature 180 degrees. I'm going to change the trans fluid and filter tomorrow. The owner's manual says to use Dexron VI ATF. Do you think I should use what the owner's manual suggests or something different? Any advice would be appreciated.

I know this video is old. So 07 corvette. Had a faulty 1st gear shift solenoid. Replaced tcm and then valve body and the car still isn't right. First issues was a flare shift. Bought car this way. Trans was supposedly replaced. Car will never make it through a relearn. Also it starts in forth gear if I command a gear it hunts and slams between gears. Fluid the first change was trashed. Bunch of material and some metal. Before it would just show am x on the heads up display but now just flashes all the gears. I'm starting to believe it's internal of that trans. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Eric, I know this thread is old but thought I'd give it a try. I have a 2012 Yukon XL 6L80 and shifts poorly from 5th to 4th (no other issues). If I smash the pedal in 5th and it downshifts to 4th no issue. If I use the manual shift control no issues from 5th to 4th. If I use "normal" pedal pressure it feels like it's going to stall when shifting from 5th to 4th but then eventually downshifts. Huge shift lag (feels like I lose power then kicks back in). Do you think it might be a shift solenoid? No previous work done on this transmission.I don't have a transmission code reader so I don't know if there's a code. Thank you for any thoughts or advice. Jeff

so I have a 2007 silverado with a 6l90 ..replaced my Trans with a junk yard trans.. If I start in drive it's in first gear but as soon as I touch the fuel pedal it goes into like a neutral mode and won't hit 2nd gear. check engine light comes on and then it's stuck in forth gear. If I manually start in second get up to speed then throw it in drive it then drive and shifts perfect until I have to stop again then I have to throw it back into 2nd..for the life of me I can't figure it out.
