    Thank you for sharing. My 2008 GMC Serria suddenly went crazy. It shifted very hard the first shift. After that it shifted fine. My gear indicator on dash did not illuminate. Backup lights did not work, door locks went crazy. Several other things failed to work. After watching your video I ordered a rebuilt TCM from All Computer Resources online. They were great to do business with. Every step they took, they informed me. I just received the part and installed in a matter of minutes. Everything works as it should, yeah!! Feels good to have my truck running good again. I appreciate your help. Thanks again!!

    My 09 Yukon Denali did something very similar. All gauges except for the voltmeter died while driving and truck wouldn’t upshift unless I put it into neutral and back to drive. Found a bad ground that had bricked my TCM. Thanks for the video.

    Thank you for your video. My 2007 Silverado had a U0101 code, in limp mode, no gear selector, no speedometer and door locks gone crazy. Saved myself some money by seeing your video and replacing the TCM, rather than taking it to the shop.

    My 2007 Avalanche 4x4 had a similar issue...Drove fine, parked it...came out in the morning and Check engine lamp came on and the rig went into limp mode....Scan it and had the U0101 code......Nothing more....I ordered a pre programmed TCM from the outfit you used here....A few days later the fresh one showed up.....Installed and the issue was solved.... I installed a newer 6L80e in my 2009 Avy. Took it to the dealer to flash and they some how bricked the TCM. No gear selection light, whining and grinding from the pump (transmission), and other mess. They will not take ownership they messed up. Im so mad!!

Gauges, locks, lights, and starts shifting hard as hell, esp in 2nd. If I kill truck it won’t restart for several minutes…new battery and cleaned and grounds looked good with no fix. Yesterday I changed the filter and fluid on my 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 4l60E transmission..came out great until my check engine light came on..I reset it my scanner and the light came back on...there are 2 codes...the P0700 for the TCM and a P0976 shift solenoid B control circuit low.. when I removed the trans pan I barely bent the shift bracket outwards so I could slide the pan of and on...then bent the shift bracket back to its original spot..I see a wiring harness right there by the lower shift linkage going into the transmission..and it kind of seems like it's a little loose as in possibly worn out ?
    It is on the drivers side by the transmission shift linkage...anybody know what that is and what it's called ? I know I don't like what I see and tried to zip tie it together for a better tighter fit but the tie kept sliding off so I left it... all I did was change the filter and fluid/gasket and now these 2 codes.. I will probably change the A & B solenoids but I hate having to take the tranny pan back down with the fresh fluid in it..I will probably try to get a new pan with the drain plug in it to make it easier.. anyway excellent video here.
    Also I checked the fuses on the drivers side under the cover and the 2 or 3 that it listed were all good.

    Ive got a 2008 Silverado 1500. Checked some fuses and since no speedometer, no gear indicator light, ABS Indicator is on, runs sluggish and U0101 error code. On someone's advice I changed the speed sensor and it didnt fix the issue. I'm chasing a problem with my shift indication on my dash as well. The little line that shoes under each gear position drops in and out. The truck is driving fine (no limp mode), but when the line goes out under the R indicator, my aftermarket backup camera doesn't work and cruise control drops out when the line drops out under D during Drive. It comes and goes and sometimes stays solid like there is nothing wrong at all. I have inspected as much of the associated wiring, but can't find any issues. I don't get any codes when I check with a standard engine scan tool. I am thinking it is the gear position switch inside the transmission or the TCM. The TCM is easier to access and it's about the same place. Any thoughts?

    • @TheShopWorldWide
      @TheShopWorldWide  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That sounds about the same as my issue. A tcm is under $150, if you’ve checked everything else I would try that before taking it to someone

    • @margaretjohnson7910
      @margaretjohnson7910 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@TheShopWorldWide Yup. I saw your video and it pointed me to the TCM as a possibility. The noticeable difference of your situation is the limp mode, my truck drives normal. I'm hoping to find someone with detailed knowledge to eliminate one of my two choices. I must admit that swapping out the TCM is more attractive option though.

    i have a 2011 silverado with the 4l60e transmission that has had to be rebuilt twice so far in its 230000 miles... these are my symptoms.. speedometer starts jumping followed by loss of acceleration for a minute.. also while towing anything in tow mode if the speedometer jumps it will kick it out of tow mode.. i have replaced the speedo sensor and installed a new stepper motor on the cluster for the speedo.. still does it.. then every once in a while ill get the engine code of canbus a stopped communicating.. i can reset the code and it will act fine for awhile.. during the summer it hardly did it.. then when it started getting cold recently it has started acting up again leading me to believe that the board on either the tcm or ecm expands in the summer allowing contact and when it gets cold it shrinks allowing intermittent contact either at a solder joint or on the chip itself.. i have unplugged my harness from my tcm which is located in the exact same location as your gmc and found no bad pins and no frayed wires.. im leaning towards the tcm as the other day it flashed the light on the dash for the traction control turning off then immediately went back off.. cant really find any info on what module controls the traction control and the tow mode.. but i would think the tcm would control that.. i also replaced the pigtail on the harness connector for the speedo sensor.. i have a remanufactured tcm on the way and hoping it fixes it.. when it throws the engine code for the canbus a not communicating it puts the truck into limp mode and shifts really hard.. appreciate any input from anyone. thanks.

When i select 1st then 2nd then 3rd it will drive and if i try driving in the regular drive from a start it eventually starts shifting it just clunks shen it shifts but no grinding or slipping sounds.
